Customer service is really bad. Provided estimate really fast. It was not the lowest bidder, but I wanted to patronize a business that was near me. I provided 30% of the funds over a month ago. No one has reached out to me as to when the project will begin. The receptionist says they have no idea when the job will begin. I received an estimate from multiple contractors just over a year ago. Didn't know much about Thrush but I wanted a lot of estimates so I gave them a shot. So it comes back (a month later after multiple calls) at nearly $26,000 for some windows, few doors and patch of siding. After comparing them to my other estimates I had a range of $12-16,000 and then this outlier and overpriced BS from this company. Today I get a cold call to see if I still want the work done and they are holding the estimate at the old price. C'mon now, you don't think I still need that works done do ya? Was the receptionist so damn bored that she decided to cold call? I doubt it. At prices that effing high they have to call the customers instead of having a business so good the customer calls you. I got my work done and more for half their price and better quality. No BS! read more

Well I'm happy to edit my Review for Thrush and Son in Brookville After a long month of unknowns. Due to No one showing up for scheduled appointments (many times .) Plus never calling to say they would not be comimg out that day . My time is valuable too. But.... They DID show up !! This past Saturday morning a 2 man crew showed up unexpected. The men were very kind and did a great job . I'm very happy that the repair has been taken care of . I feel that Thrush and Son does great work and are kind people .( Crew and Office help ) So I will give them a 5 .for the quality of the job. But I give them a 3 for the Experience I went through . I'll never use this company again. It took them five months to finish a roofing job after I signed the contract. Took them over two months to finish the aluminum flashing after they cashed the check. The roofing crew left a sizable pile of trash in my yard after putting the shingles on. Not roofing material, but actual garbage: Cigarette butts, the plastic wrapper from a new pack of cigarettes, a plastic grocery bag, a bag from an empty loaf of bread, an empty container that used to contain dried fruit and empty packets from diarrhea medicine. I called the office and asked for Allen, no dice. He didn't seem to care about about my complaint with his company. I was able to speak to the owner, Allen Thrush on two occasions. Once on the phone when I had a question about the flashing that was in the contract, and once in person when I wrote the check. He and another employee told me that the flashing would be done and the job completed within "a couple weeks." From that point on Allen Thrush avoided me, would not take or return my calls (even after I was told "he said he'll call you tomorrow") and left his employees to deal with the dissatisfied customer after repeated phone calls to him about finishing the job that I paid for. I logged and audio recorded all phone calls, as well as face to face communication I had with anyone from the company. After repeatedly being avoided by Allen, I contacted a lawyer. I had paid for a job that the owner had shown no sign of completing. We had at least five days in December with the temperature above 50 degrees. The roof was clear of snow and ice. I signed the contract on August 2, 2018. The job was started in the third week of October, 2018. I paid on October 31, 2018 (with the good faith promise of having the job completed as explained above). The job was completed on January 7, 2019. The timeframe, lack of respect for my property, lack of communication and the unacceptable business practices that Allen Thrush tried to pull on me has ensured that I will not consider this company for any future business. read more

Just had roof done on our house. Roof was done as expected and in one day. Their price was a little cheaper than other contractor I had called out and I believe their shingles are of a better quality. We had siding done by Thrush and Sons before and their price was in line with other companies. read more

Even though the job was performed satisfactorily and what was expected the cost seems to be way out of line after speaking with other homeowners who had the same type of job performed. The gutters were cleaned on a one story elderly woman's home and the cost was $500.00. When the cost was questioned they stated they came out twice, once for the estimate and once to do the cleaning. The cleaning took about 1 1/2 hours. It seems like a very costly cleaning out of gutters for a 1 1/2 hour job and when does an estimation cost money? We will not use them again. We believe they took advantage of an elderly lady. read more
