I contacted Arnett Home Solutions last week. My stacked unit condo was built in1969. Our condos…read morewere built using aluminum wiring. One of my neighbor's units caught fire. Technically, unit owners are supposed to be liable for damage that occurs inside the walls. However, our association is mandating that all aluminum wiring be replaced with standard copper or have connectors added. Considering this repair adds no monetary value to the home, spending money on this bites. Because the units are stacked, to do the complete rewiring job would be $10,000-$40,000 because they have to knock holes in all the walls- copper is expensive- and then repair all the walls. The connectors upgrade was the cheaper but also equally safe option. I had called competitors. The middle quote was over $4000. Dillion with Arnett home solutions was so very empathetic. We both know that the aluminum wiring, when maintained properly, is safe. Yes, adding connectors makes it easier when replacing switches, outlets, and lights in the future- but it really is an unnecessary cost. or that's what I thought until we checked one of my updated outlets installed in 2016. The contractor used a standard, less expensive connector. It had caught fire in the past- unbeknownst to me. the connector was fried- the wires were fried. Dillion quickly changed the game plan. We found a much more industrial connector- according to reviews- this connector has never caught on fire when transitioning from the aluminum to copper. This was a new part that they had never tried before. This caused a slight delay in installation- had to locate a significant number of the connectors. Having never worked with the connectors previously, Dillion was quickly able to update all my outlets, switches, and some of my lights. The cost was more than half what the competitors were charging and I'm pretty certain they are using the standard much less expensive connectors which might still catch on fire as shown to have happened when my previous contractor used them on my remodel. I can sleep better at night knowing that my family and I are safe and being a single mom on a tight budget, I am so glad that I was able to get some significant savings. I'm already looking towards using Arnett home solutions for future repairs- both plumbing and a bathroom upgrade. It was good service at a great price and done in fantastic amount of time. I definitely recommend having Arnett home solutions as your go to for repairs or remodels!

The remaining work was scheduled for the first week of March, but the contractor did not show nor reply to texts, calls, emails. Communication resumed several weeks later only after I filed a consumer complaint, followed by the contractor requesting additional payment outside the original agreement and a house lien threat despite incomplete work. The remaining work was never completed, and no refund was issued.
