In a very forgotten spot right off 270 and sawmill, but it is a great location! What's better than throwing axes and having a full bar?! Some great local beers as well. The thing that sets this location apart is the games you play with the other lane beside you. We came with 2 middle schoolers and 2 adults and had a blast! The host was great and helped in every way.

4.0 Stars Location Overview: Find this chill and kickass spot on Sawmill and Bridge Park in the Dublin Center. This place is pretty freaking cool. They have different sections; an area of lanes for axe throwing, a "field" for football bowling, and I'm not sure where the area is for plate breaking-use softballs or baseballs for this. And there is a large bar set dead in the middle of it all. Definitely an adult version of puttputt golf. Customer Service: Fantastic customer service here. We get out own waitress as if we were at a restaurant she shows you how games work and attends to any food or drinks you acquire. The bartender was pretty cool as well. They do offer soft drinks too. As well as a short list of bar food/snacks. Quality/Quantity: The quality of this place is outstanding. They make sure all items used for stress relieving demolition is set properly so you can get a full experience. The quantity is what fell short. Just as we were interested in plate breaking they offered other accommodations for other games due to not having anymore plates. While this was not a huge issue it did kind of suck to not be able to partake in this. Side Notes: Definitely check this out as a 3rd date event or with just some cool friends. Definitely a stress reliever.

The rules - yes, there are rules.

I had never thrown a football at bowling pins. I was not good (but I can't wait to go back.) I'll say this here- YOU NEED TO COME HERE. They have something for everyone. First- our group came to Throw Nation primarily to Bowl- with footballs- by throwing them. Not your father's NFL or even Aunt Maude's Saturday afternoon Bowling For Dollars. This was much better. I attached a photo of the rules of the game, but if you're lucky you'll have the amazing "Ang the last Axe Bender" (AKA Daria) to guide you through the ins-and-outs of the game. She was great! Basically you throw a football at the pins to try and knock over as many as you can. The pins are actual, full weighted bowling pins- so they won't topple over in a close call or at the surprise gust of a mighty wind. But here's the catch- during the game, if a pin is knocked over for any reason it's fair game and stays down. So if you accidentally knock a pin over because you tripped on a Canadian team mate- it counts the same as if the opposition knocked it over. If the opponent throws the ball and it bounces off the wall, your leg and then topples three pins on the back row- they count. We learned that one the hard way, but our team finally won the last of our three matches. We left the playing field with a smaller slice of what pride we came in with, but really success is just playing this game here. What's going on at the far wall when you arrive is what this place is really known for though- the axe throwing. Think Grizzly Adams meets James Bond for drinks, shaken- not stirred- and they bring three friends each. What you get is an opportunity to throw axes at targets, score points and feel like your life needs much more plaid in it, all while contemplating the max possible length of your beard. There are even axe throwing leagues for those who catch the fever- and believe me, the fever was for more than just cowbell. Which brings up a good point- you sign a waiver as soon as you arrive. Trust me, you should, because while throwing things like axes, footballs and other items can be fun- word on the street is it can also be somewhat dangerous. There is a menu with pizza and other items, local craft beers, domestics and a full bar. But as the sign says- no liquor for those who are throwing axes. Sounds like a good rule to have. There are TVs and projection screens to make sure you don't miss a pitch, play or match. But- here's a tip: if you're throwing an axe, forget about the TV and just try not to scalp your cousin Ricky. They do take walk-ups but honestly you're better off looking on the website and locking in a time to go- it can get busy and you don't want to show up and miss out on the fun. There are some cool shirts for sale too! (Why didn't I think to have axes added to the American flag to replace an occasional stripe. Genius.) Ok- you've heard me now make a plan to try Throw Nation yourself. + Great games + Food and a full bar + YOU GET TO THROW AXES!!!!! + Fun, active and likable staff members (Like Ang the Ace Bender, who's name was actually Daria, and she was awesome!) + Plenty of space and tables + Ample parking + Reservations available online to make sure you and your friends/family/targets get to play when you want. And I guarantee you will leave with at least one great story to tell. Hopefully it won't be at your expense, but even then you will have a great time of you go.

To summarize my experience, the 50% off coupon I received for my next visit to Throw Nation was a blasphemous waste of paper and I pity the tree whose life was cut short to only have that coupon printed on it. We made a reservation, and once I saw our instructor's sweatshirt read "VIRGINITY ROCKS", I knew this was going to be a long night. This dude single-handedly reduced 4 stars from an assumptive 5 star review - that is impressively bad. I'm not sure what was worse - his seemingly endless tide of potty humor or the fact that he was simply rude; just plain, old, mean spirited. At various points in the evening, multiple people in our group actually had to ask him to stop talking to us. So, in closure, I write to you, whatever your name is - As fun as it may seem to you, we dont want to chant "jack off". I also would like to avoid the topic of "blue balls" while my mother is present, despite how obvious that innuendo may be in relation to axe throwing. Thirdly, and most importantly, self reflect. Maybe it is just me, maybe I'm just old fashioned. Who knows, but get off my lawn. Plus one star because the beer list was good.

What a fun place! My boyfriend has been wanting to go axe throwing since the Renaissance Festival! We did the walk-in price for $20 since it was just the two of us and didn't mind sharing a lane if it came down to it. They taught us a quick lesson on technique and then gave us score sheets like you would in bowling. We had an amazing time! They also have football bowling and a full bar! The staff was very friendly and polite and made you feel comfortable throwing an axe! Great place for laughs and fun! We will define be back with a group of friends!

I came with a group of friends for a late birthday celebration and we had a blast! Our instructor was awesome. I messed up our reservations & they were very helpful fixing it. Will definitely be back again!

We went for my aunts birthday and we had a really fun time. Dan the guy that showed us how to do everything was really nice. Next time in in Ohio I'll for sure come back.

My family had a great time at Throw Nation! It was our first time going and we had no idea what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! The staff was all in masks and we felt comfortable the whole time. We'll definitely be going back!

It's all about the follow through. Take your stance and throw that axe!

This wasn't just laser tag, this was laser war! What a great time! I came here with my fiance and…read moretwo other friends for the first time and we had an absolute blast! There are three different "theaters" or "maps" you can play in, and they rotate. One is set up like an office, another like a house (complete with real parked cars), and another is a warehouse. The guns are modeled after the characteristics of real guns (shotgun has wider field of fire but shorter range, pistol is more accurate with shorter range, P90 has full automatic with a functional scope, etc). And the guns are heavy too; similar to real weapons. Next, you get assigned a "mission" each time. We played four rounds total: free for all, team deathmatch, split team deathmatch (half of your team starts on the far side of the map, half on the near side), and "traitor" where one person on each team is chosen as the traitor and it's your job to eliminate everyone on both the other team as well as your team. I was chosen as the traitor for my team, so I had to subtly try and pick off my own teammates. I should mention that friendly fire is active ALL THE TIME in every type of match. You get 10 lives per match, and a limited amount of ammo too (although the ammo limit was never a problem). Matches have a 16 minute time cap. After our first two rounds we were lucky enough that there was a kids' birthday party there, so we got to play some 10 vs 10 matches too. This made the matches pretty hectic but a lot of fun. I think ideally I would like to do these with 7 or 8 per side. Pricing is a little steep but not so bad that I won't be back. It's $5 or 6 for a membership, which is good for a year. Then you have to choose to buy either 4 or 8 matches in a package. It was $24 for 4 matches or $34 for 8 (if you buy the membership). And you can use those matches any time over the course of a year. There is also a basic drink/bar area where you can grab a beer or pop if you want. There might've been some standard bar foods (hot dogs/nachos) there as well, but we didn't check it out. If you choose not to buy a membership, you can buy either 3 or 6 matches, but you have to use them all up on that visit or they're lost. I forget the prices of these because we did the membership. They also have special "event" pricing for groups that you can do, but the downer here is that you have to pay as a single unit and then rely on everyone else to pay back the person paying. Membership fees are waved during that time for everyone, and they're unlimited play. Overall this was a real good time. One thing I would have liked to see was some sort of scoreboard/ranking outside of the arena that would show you how many kills/deaths/team kills each person had. I'll definitely be back, and next time I'll bring more friends along.

Ordered tickets about a month ago, I got a broken foot so I called them and I asked to…read morereschedule... they told me to just come in whenever we can and we can either move the date or just play that day. Came in today around 8 PM today and I couldn't even play because I was told I wasn't even in the system even tho they have looked up my name previously when I rescheduled? so there goes my $75 down the drain

First of all, I'm absolutely terrible at throwing axes. I think I've managed to get it stuck on or two times in my life even thought I've gone multiple times. The check in process here is quite easy. We filled out the waiver and then were walked to our spot. At our spot, they went through safety training and all the games. There's multiple games you can play if you're really good. We stuck with the originally one though. I kept thinking, oh gosh, this guy training us is going to be pissed cuz I'm never going to get it to stick on the board. Well, he ended the best trainer I've ever had! I actually got it to stick on the board more often than not!!!! Now I fully get the appeal of axe throwing. The nice thing about this place is that they also have food and drinks if you want. There's a full bar. I just got a stout beer which was delish. We only had about an hour so we didn't order food or anything but that also looked really good. There were some other groups in here throwing axes too. Definitely a bigger space, too, so if you have a birthday party or a large group, this would be such a fun activity to do. And again, staff is incredible and did such a good job taking care of us!
