My first time Axe throwing at this facility and Andrew made it Very special! This would have easily been a 5 star review. However, management really needs to take a chill pill. The "coaches" are not even allowed to demonstrate how to throw the Axes , like the other facilities are which makes entirely no sense. They also were not allowed to play any up to date music!!! Who wants to throw axes to FRANK SANATRA?!!!!! You are only offered 4 games to play. I wanted to play cricket again the"coaches" were not allowed to even though we paid our money, we weren't allowed to try other games due to guess who "management". If you want miserable energy and old music this is the place for you but if you want fun; you may want to go somewhere else. read more

We had a blast axe throwing. Tre was helpful, fun, and patient. It was a little strange at first because we know Starz from soccer, but once inside the room, we forgot all about that. I personally have thrown before in NC, And this was far better of an experience because of incorporating the poker-style games and making it a competition. The games were suspenseful with lots of trash-talking as those that did well in the beginning didn't do well in the end and those that seemed to have no hope in the first couple games stuck it out in the end to get a picture up on the board. We visited Capital Axe Throwing with a group of 11 last night. I can't say enough good things about our experience. Angie our axe throwing coach was amazing! She was fun, knowledgeable, patient, and she made our safety her #1 goal. I was able to see all of the other coaches, and groups that were there last night as well. All of the coaches, and groups looked like they were having a blast. I would recommend going with a slightly smaller group than we had, maybe a group of 6-8 so you can get more throws in. Easy to find and had tons of fun. Ashley was our coach, she didn't have the loudest voice but she was nice and helped us. The only complaint was they split our group up, so some of us played with other people. We were still with our group but the teams were mixed with another group. It would be better if you could keep your group together. The area is is so small you will most likely talk with the other group of people anyways so I don't understand the forced socializing. Thankfully the group we played with was pretty cool but if you get a group you don't get along with your night of fun is ruined. read more

Ben was so great for us. The perfect amount of coaching and privacy (it was date night). Gave great pointers and most importantly made us feel unashamed with all our bad throws. The location is pretty dingy until you get into their specific digs, which has a fun mix of casino feel. 5 stars for Ben! I'm giving four stars not because of their business but the fact that it's embedded inside a very gross athletic facility with disgusting bathrooms filled with flies and personnel that go #2 and then don't wash their hands. read more

Well this place gets 5 stars even though we were only able to throw 5ish times. We showed up thinking this was Columbus Ace throwing, turns out they don't exist anymore. And of course open throw was completely over when we walked in, but the lady in charge was super nice & gave us a code for next to get a discount. She also obliged us & let us throw a few times. Kevin was awesome! We were looking for fun date ideas to switch it up (which is very tough during these times) and this seemed fun and new. Had high expectations going in and even those were surpassed - Kevin was really funny yet still as professional as they come. Can't recommend this place enough!!! This was a really great axe throwing experience. Ashley was a great coach and made the experience really great. She was really friendly and we had a fun time playing games. The place was really clean and they really put a lot of effort in giving us prizes and letting us take a picture for the wall. The theme was also really cool. We used Capital Axe Throwing for our team bonding event and we had a great time! Abigail was our coach/game coordinator and she made sure that we understood how each game was played and kept score for us and was an all-around cheerleader for the group. Jesse was amazing and really had us laughing the entire time. He was very helpful with axe throwing and gave us a lot of tips. I would love to come back and bring more people! This is a a great place for just having fun. The space is a little small so it's good for 4-8 people. You are allowed to drink here. We bought a groupon for 1.5 hours of axe throwing with a guide and it was an awesome experience! Ben kept us busy the entire time with plenty of games and fun jokes. I thought we would get bored but we couldn't believe when our time was up! Ben gave us tips to help us with our throwing and we ended up getting pretty good. We booked a 90 minute experience for myself, husband and our daughter and her girlfriend. We had an absolute blast and Megs did an excellent job teaching our group how to throw the axes. She was engaging, fun and made the entire experience very enjoyable. We definitely recommend, especially for a fun, competitive group outing. read more
