Plum Hill is a Reggio Emilia and Waldorf inspired preschool for children 1-6 years old. We are located in the University Hills neighborhood of Denver, Colorado.
History
Established in 2018.
It started with six children and our family home in Englewood...
Fall of 2016 was spent renovating and lovingly preparing our environment for the anticipated arrival of our students-to-be. That winter we enrolled our first children, and on February 6, 2017 our licensed family childcare home was officially open for business. We called it "Three Little Birds Early Learning."
We spent a full turning of the seasons dancing, singing, laughing, crying, exploring, creating, investigating, playing- all the while, learning. We always knew that we wanted to grow our school in a way that would enable us to serve more children and families, who, like us, understand that children need to play. We wanted to create a place where childhood is honored and never rushed, a place where learning means getting your hands dirty, and a place that truly feels like a home away from home. We wanted to replicate the family childcare home environment on a larger scale- which is how Plum Hill Preschool came to be.
Meet the Manager: Ally S.
Ally has been working with kiddos for over twenty years. Ally began her Early Childhood journey in Fort Collins studying Early Childhood Education, and moved to Denver working with school age children. After the birth of her son Cooper, in 2013, Ally came back to the Early Childhood world and shortly after became Director of the Reggio inspired program at her previous center, Rodef.
As a Director she discovered her true passion, mentoring teachers and working with the whole family to set little ones up for success in a loving and nurturing environment. Ally's favorite part of working with children is seeing the world through their eyes everyday, full of wonder. As a Colorado native Ally enjoys staying busy and exploring all our amazing state has to offer with her son Cooper and their two dogs Maggie and Roscoe.
