I had a custody case in which one of their teachers was interviewed. This teacher, Zanaya Garrett Piazza made the following statements about me to the Child Family Investigator Amy Peterson (who was also very biased against me): "[Father] was totally opposite -- standoffish and brash, our rule is if you come in, introduce yourself to the children (they're trying to teach stranger danger). He did not let anyone know he was coming and then it was a little wierd for [daughter] . She would be active, super happy, and playful, then her dad would come in and bring doughnuts for Inaya to pick from but not anyone else". First off I brought donuts for the entire staff- NOT the kids. If you are teaching stranger danger to kids, the first rule is not taking candy from strangers. I am a very friendly person, thats one quality everyone who meets me says about me. This is a total fabrication and a slander against me. "Then he started sitting outside the gate, parking nearby, walking up to the school and staring. It gave some people anxiety because if someone didn't know he was a student's dad, they would have been concerned. Shortly after that she hired a para and she knew his native tongue, and he flirted with her in front of the students. She had asked that he only go to La Petite on days that he would pick up or drop off [daughter]. He became rude and did not care." NONE of this happened. The basic proof here is that I never dropped my daughter to this pre-school or picked her from there because she was not enrolled on my parenting time! She was enrolled at Crescent View Academy-- a much better school. "He would ask [daughter] "oh you're going with mommy's friend? Who is mommy's friend? She has worked with children a while and you can tell by the child's body language -- they shift away when a parent asks them about another parent. She would look at her like ' can you help me Ms. Z.? Ms. Z would try to engage her to come along but she was on his lap and he put pressure on her lap so she couldn't get up" I mean what telenovela is this? Was I having all these convos with a 3.5 year old child in front of the teacher? "At first she wass really excited to be at school and hang out with her peers, and then when she started going back and forth she filt like the confusion kicked in. And I know in their culture you're supposed to take a water cup to the bathroom. But at La Petite Academy they support them going to the bathroom whenver they need to. Father wanted to make sure [daughter] did that--but she had 30 other kids. And [daughter] was too young to know about their cultural beliefs and to know that she needed to bring a water bottle to the bathroom when it caused problems with the other kids." This is the real reason this bigot lied. she is a racist. And she has helped my rights to my own child get stolen from me based on these disgusting lies. Avoid this business at all costs, especially if you are a minority and a Muslim. Ms. Z herself is black, I do not understand where this bigotry comes from. This place should be out of business. The staff at Pathways were caring, patient & resilient. The school went through some management change & the teachers and staff handled the transitions with grace and good spirit. Several staff members had their children enrolled in the building, but it was hard to say who was a staff-kid because every child was loved so well. Leaving your precious child with strangers can be hard, but Pathways didn't feel like strangers for long. Thank you Pathways! We love you!

After a few weeks, we decided to remove our baby from Lisa's care. She often lied to us and never…read morementioned that there had been a fire at her place. During that time, strangers were frequently in her home for repairs and renovations while our baby was there. One day, our baby refused to drink milk because of all the noise and chaos, but Lisa didn't tell us. As a result, our baby became severely dehydrated and went without food or milk for six hours. She also regularly came home with a full, unchanged diaper. Lisa never sent us any pictures or updates, and when I asked, she would get irritated and say she was too busy with renovations. That's unacceptable -- she was supposed to provide a safe and caring environment for our child. Later, she demanded full payment for the next month, but we refused since she failed to provide proper care and safety.

I'm supposed to assume that credits without clear labeling on my ex's statement are my amount owed. "Hey, you should have asked for clarity"...I agree, so I did...REPEATEDLY. And, none was given. The Director of this "school" couldn't be bothered to take the time to actually respond to me for 6 weeks. She just kept resending the same invoices with no context provided. "You should have noticed a building balance on the invoices"...totally, only there's no balance on the statements that they sent in my ex's name, literally $0 on the balance line, so there's no past-due amount to settle - despite me repeatedly asking to do exactly that. When the school's director requested that we meet to untangle the mess, she couldn't be bothered to attend the meeting that she requested. No notice. No apology. Instead of meeting with me, she just sent out another invoice in my ex's name with a $0 balance as if that clarified anything. Her assistant verified that and expressed confusion as well, said that she'd have the Director follow up, and...that never happened either. I went online to speak to a representative and schedule a tour with Coal Mine Kindercare. The representative was wonderful and helpful and promptly scheduled my tour for a Thursday at 5 PM. Shortly after scheduling the tour, I recieved a voicemail from Brooke asking if she could reschedule for an earlier time. I returned her call around 5:30 PM the same day and explained to her the reason why we scheduled the tour for when we did. My husband and I work half an hour in opposite directions and he does not get off work until 4:30 PM, therefore the earliest we could do was 5. Brooke stated she was not able to give tours after 4 PM because she was helping out in classrooms and asked if a lunch time tour would work. I again stated that we worked half an hour away from the center and we would have to take a half day off of work just to come and tour, so no that wouldn't work. She again asked if a lunch time tour was acceptable, and I finally told her we would not be touring at all. Instead of trying to get my business, she simply said she was sorry she couldn't do night tours and hung up the phone. If an establishment is unwilling to work with future parents who have normal work schedules and are unable to take time off for a mid day tour, why would I want to give them my business and trust my infant with them? The Goddard School allows drop in tours at any hour and Primrose was more than accommodating of a night tour. They have my business.

I am working with…read morethe City of the Boulder on a consumer complaint investigation on this company and we are also working with a lawyer to pursue this company for the harm they caused my family. We lost $11,000 in commission on a nanny that didn't work out for stealing and lying and Nannies of the Rockies completely disappeared and did not return our emails and phone calls. If anyone has had issues with Nannies of the Rockies, please reach out to me. We believe their contract is an unenforceable contract as you cannot accept a commission and then disappear. It's called a negligence and the company may be liable for damages including the wages we spent on the nanny and additional damages beyond the commission and wages. The company did not disclose that the nanny did not work out with prior families. We found this out later. Instead, they sold us on the nanny being the best they have ever represented. We are also discussing with the Department of Justice on not disclosing material facts in an attempt to make a quick gain from your customer. They then put the nanny back up on the site without inquiring with us what the stealing and lying pertained to, which means they are cycling through commissions on the same person multiple times in one year -- this deepens the gross negligence of not disclosing our situation to future families. Do not let this negligent company put a childcare placement in your home. They are the most unprofessional, unethical and scandalous company I have ever come across. To disappear after pocketing $11,000 while recycling nannies that don't work out in other homes ... good luck getting away with that. For anyone needing home care, go to Indeed.com and put up your own advertisement and do you own search. My hope is the State of Colorado recognizes the sheer negligence they have shown their customer -- who has a small child. We are talking about families and children here and they're trying to run some shell of an operation where they take your check and cash it before the nanny even sets foot in your home (and of course, they insist it's a check bc you can't open a credit card dispute) -- this company reeks of scam (nobody requires only a check anymore) and it's time someone stand up to these terrible practices. The contract is not worth the paper it is written on. We will not let them bully us on the contract, it is complete and absolute nonsense to take a commission and claim you have no obligations to the customer. The fact they did not return our calls or emails after taking $11,000 and we emailed them a long email explaining the contract was terminated for stealing and lying (and then putting the nanny back onto the site) says everything in terms of the negligence this company is demonstrating in the State of Colorado. We will also have taken note of the so-called good reviews on this company and will investigate further to see how many of them were legitimate customers (so many have 1 review only under their name). And we will be contacting those who left bad reviews to see how many cases of negligence there is where this company took a five-digit commission and disappeared when the nanny did not work out. If you're looking for care from your child, you should heed the bad reviews and do not fall for the good reviews (with only 1 prior review, etc). Indeed.com will product quality nannies that you can run your own background check on -- don't give your money to this scam.
