The class is…read morereally dynamic and fun--my 7‑month‑old loves it, and it's amazing to make friends as a new mom. Being a new parent is hard and can feel isolating, but this class made me realize I am not alone. We are all in the same boat, and it's wonderful to have a support group that shares in the challenges and grows through the changes. During class, we cover a variety of topics based on our babies' milestones while incorporating play and allowing our little ones to be little and explore. Kylie is a phenomenal instructor, and I look forward to class every week!

I highly recommend Baby Parent Steps with Laura Liebig in Tempe!…read more Shortly after my daughter was born, I started looking for "baby and me" activities that her and I could do together being a first time mama. I found this class after reading an article in a Parenting AZ magazine and contacted Laura by email. I came to find out that this program is well established in Germany and is called PEKiP. PEKiP stands for Prague-Parent-Child-Program. It's activities are considered "group-work" between baby and mama to encourage baby's independent development. It's main principle is that baby should not be pushed into reaching milestones, rather the infant reaches them at his/her own pace. Laura also showed us how to observe baby cues and what baby clues we should look out for as they learn to communicate in different ways. The classes are typically small in size and are taught right out of Laura's cozy living room. Our babies were also similar in age. We met each week for about 90 minutes. We started each class by singing an introductory song using each baby's name. I loved seeing my baby's reaction to the song when it came time to sing her name out loud! In addition, a new activity was introduced each week and we learned how to observe our babies to the activity. This was a no pressure environment; one week my baby showed no interest in the new activity but then showed a lot of interest or would master the activity the next time we met! This was mind blowing for me! Meeting in such a small, intimate environment also helped us not only form a strong bond with our babies but it also allowed us new mamas to forge new friendships which are invaluable as we navigate parenthood. Lastly, most of the toys we used in class were homemade by Laura, which meant we could go home and recreate those items without having to spend extra $$ on expensive toys. However, there were some items we used in class that could be purchased at IKEA or Amazon if needed. This class is a MUST for first time mamas! I highly recommend :)

My son Zack started a 7 session course on June 2nd, and got his license yesterday, 3 weeks later…read more Lewis was an absolutely phenomenal instructor. Zack said it was like learning from a friend. I was so impressed with how well he was doing after the first three sessions. He would drive and I wasn't afraid at all. (This is a huge difference from when I first let him behind the wheel!) Lewis and I were able to talk and he told me everything that Zack needed to work on. We put several hours in on the road between driving lessons to work on those things and I could see Zack's confidence increasing every day Only one session needed rescheduling due to Lewis not feeling well, but that wasn't an issue at all. The test was during the final session Monday night and due to the top notch instruction received, my son passed! We were able to go the DMV yesterday and get his license with no hoops to jump through! I am so happy with Arizona Driver Training Academy that I will use them again when my other son is ready to start his journey. I would highly recommend using this school available in Casa Grande as well as Mesa!

I called to sign up in the beginning of December, paid the $700.00 fee and was told an instructor…read morewould be calling me back to schedule. A week goes by and no one called, I called back and he said she would get in contact to schedule. I received a text on December 11 and the first appointment was a month away. The second appointment she cancelled 1.5 hours before the appointment and said it was too windy. I took video of the wind in case it was necessary and it was not too windy. I explained I work nights and it's hard when last minute cancels take place and asked if this happens often and she said no. Then after the second lesson she said it would be best if my daughter did 1 hour lessons instead of 2. I said ok because I am not a teacher and I don't know. Towards the end of her lessons I notice Chamille still doesn't know how to drive during my practices with her and explained that I think the 1 hour lessons was a mistake because by the time she gets use to it it's time to turn around and go home. She also hasn't been on 1 freeway or really any real streets with the exception of 1 time. So never taught parallel parking, never taught how to make a u turn and never been on a real freeway at this point. She agreed to do 2 2 hour lessons at the end to make this correct and I agreed. She then cancelled the first one and said she was sick, she then cancelled the second one and said she was still sick. When I text back that these lessons had been dragging on for 3 months she had the nerve to yell at me and say the next 2 dates for the lesson. She showed up and took Chamille on the freeway and just like I thought Chamille started finally learning how to drive. She showed up for her last appointment and they left. When they were almost 30 min late I wondered what happened, they show up and my daughter looked upset and she said she tested her during her lesson and she failed. I immediately was furious and said why would you test her without talking to me first to make sure she was ready?! She said she told Chamille, which Chamille said she thought it was a practice test and she didn't even know. This whole experience was absolutely horrendous and stressful and I can't see how this is legal or even ok to treat people this way. 3 months and she just now got on a freeway 1 day before her test?! I want at the very least my money back so I can hire a new driver to get this done with, an apology would be nice as well but I'll settle for a refund. I attached the correspondence between her and I all via text and no place does it state her test would be included in the last lesson or anything like that. Thank you Sandra Lynn Craig
