I am conflicted writing this because we like the staff and director at CCPD, however, several…read moreparents have raised concerns over the lack of cameras, and the owners have made it clear that they will not use cameras. We have had two scares involving our child and there was absolutely no evidence other than second and third-hand stories, what we could piece together from our child's limited vocabulary, and scratches on their skin. I've also gone in to pick up our child, to find a completely new caregiver I had never seen before taking care of the kids. In 2024 there is no reason that parents should not be able to check in on their kids virtually whenever they want to. We get a few pictures of our kid a day through the app, and we are missing thousands of little moments in their development. Enough is enough. Give parents peace of mind and the sense that we are a part of our children's day, even if we can't be there in person.

When we toured, they let us check out the room, meet the teachers and ask tons of questions. They are accomodating to parental requests - such as if you would like to substitute meals, or provide specific snacks. For example, we prefer that our son doesn't consume too much sugar (he's got enough energy as is...!), so we requested that when juice is served that it is watered down 50/50, and they have been very accomodating. He has some food sensitivities and they have substituted snacks when necessary. We enjoy having the updates on the app - we get a few photos a day of what he's doing, along with notifications of any diaper changes, what he's eating and how much, and how long and when he naps! Once in a while we get videos as well and it's so lovely to get little updates through the day. Miss Serenity and Miss Katie have been so lovely, and he looks forward to seeing them and his classmates. The socialization has been great for him. We have always had great interactions with the staff. We recommended Calvary Preschool to a friend, and they enrolled their baby and have been loving it too!

I was honestly afraid for his and my safety at times due to his outbursts. He often acted like an animal whenever we went somewhere new or had people over to the house. Screaming, jumping on people and off of high things, running around like a mad man. No matter what I said it seemed like he just literally could not hear me and I was at my wits end. When we got him evaluated it turns out his brain was operating at a 3 year old level when he was actually 6. No wonder he felt so out of control. We decided to sign him up for the works! The center always warned us what to expect from his behavior along the journey and they were always so accurate! It was really hard for the first couple of months but it was undeniable they knew what they were talking about and we knew we needed to trust the process. He finished his program a few months ago and has had time for everything he learned to solidify in his brain. He now operates at his age level or above and it shows! Today a girl was making fun of him and it would have made him go absolutely ballistic a few months ago. Instead he handled it like an absolute champ! Better than some adults. Last night he came up with his own idea and included his siblings to give the adults back massages. I'm so happy to have my sweet, sensitive, caring son back. I was hopeful--but I didn't expect to see this kind of growth. When my son started, he was functioning closer to a 4-year-old level, and now he's meeting expectations for his actual age of 7. That alone speaks volumes. He's more affectionate, more aware of his feelings, and better able to work through them. One of the biggest changes has been how he handles being told "no," bad news, and changes. Before, those moments were very hard for him. Now he's able to pause, regulate, and respond so much better. That has made a huge difference in our everyday life. While in the program, I made the decision to homeschool him so he could fully focus on his development. As of April 1st, he transitioned back into school, and that was a huge moment for us. He was excited to be back with his friends, and now he's able to handle other kids better, even in situations where things feel overwhelming or too noisy. He's also communicating better with his teacher, which is something we struggled with before. Another thing that stood out to me--his pediatrician has always emphasized the importance of nutrition for brain development. This was the first time I was able to see that come together in a structured, real-life way. He has not been formally diagnosed, and we intentionally started with nutrition and lifestyle changes first, which this program helped bring to life. Jacqueline, the director, is amazing. She's supportive, knowledgeable, and gives feedback that actually fits my household and real-life routines, not just generic advice. Ashtyn at the front desk is also wonderful--very personable and great with all the kids. Shout out to the coaches as well--they are patient, engaging, and truly invested in the kids' progress. The whole environment feels welcoming. I'll be honest--the investment can feel high, but seeing the growth in my child, it has been worth it for our family. They also offer different programs, payment plans, and options through the state if your child qualifies. As a Black parent, I also want to say this--getting help for your child should not feel taboo. I'm so glad I moved forward anyway. The growth I've seen in my son has truly surprised me in the best way. We still have more time left in the program, but I'm already grateful for how far he's come--and I would absolutely recommend this to other parents looking for real change.

Not too long into our journey as first time parents did we realize we were not enjoying a single second with our newborn, and instead we were pacing the house for endless hours with a screaming/crying baby. I knew something had to be done because my husband and I were at the brink of insanity (not sleeping for two weeks will do that to you). After much research, I found Desiree, and I have never looked back. I have told Desiree countless times she is worth her weight in cool. Prior to hiring Desiree, we had a baby that would not sleep in her bassinet, would only nap if someone was holding her, and wouldn't really eat. I quite literally coined our baby as the "gassiest, most fussy baby," and I remember Desiree telling me, "No you don't, don't worry I got you." She explained her training program and how things would be done and we fully trusted her and her expertise. Within a few days, we already noticed a difference. Our baby was now napping in her bassinet, was eating, smiling, and RARELY crying. Fast forward a few weeks, our baby is fully sleeping through the night, from 7 pm to 7 am. My husband and I can actually have time together to have dinner and watch a show after she goes down, and it has been the best thing for our marriage. At every corner we turned, Desiree was there. Any time I needed her or expressed any sort of concern, she was there to talk me through it and guide us on what worked best for our baby. She is an absolutely incredible human being and we already know we will use her for our next baby. Since we had such a good experience, we decided to hire Desiree for a year so she can be there throughout the different milestones and guide us on what needs to be done. If you are reading this at 3 am and sleep deprived, I promise Desiree is the portal to you finally enjoying your baby. We are forever grateful.

Their whole downstairs and backyard is set-up for the children and is safe and clean with lots of activities and toys. My daughter loves the preschool time and has learned so much. She's always rehearsing and showing me what she's learned at home. She also raves about Ms. Laura's cooking and I feel that she has gotten less picky because all of the children are eating the same things and together. My son has been going here since he was 4 months old, he is 19 months old now. He gets great attention and the staff in the entire place knows parent's and children's names, even if your child is not in their class. We have a physical therapist that visits my son at daycare and she has seen many daycares over the years. She told me she can tell that the teachers really care about the kids and that's tough to find. It puts me at ease to know how flexible they are when it comes to food, schedules, and other preferences. I have heard so many scary stories online about daycare and I am so incredibly grateful that I cannot imagine picking my child up to find anything worse than maybe a little cranky mood or a mild diaper rash. We recently moved homes to a place a little further from Kiddie Kampus, but I knew we did not want to move too far so that my son could continue to attend here.
