First off, this spot has a really cool aesthetic inside. A large glass-front restaurant isn't uncommon for downtown Victoria by any means but the way that La Taquisa uses the light to highlight their bright furniture and playful colour scheme is both fun and visually pleasing. Plus, when a space looks nice, I swear the food tastes better! This time around, I went in and got 3 of the chicken tinga tacos with medium red salsa on them and it came out to less than ten dollars. When they take your order, they also get your name so that you can go take a seat and wait until they call you to come get your food. Overall, I thought that my tacos were extremely good with a taco-truck kind of feel about them. However, my friend got chicken molé with the mild verde salsa (and added guac and sour cream) and I preferred hers. Next time around I'll have to try either the baja fish tacos or burrito (since it seems to be a Yelper favourite) but all in all, I was really happy with this meal!
