Egg Blossoms for breakfast baked in filo dough
    Ammara T.

This beautiful B&B was the highlight of our stay in Victoria. Its located conveintly 10mins from the ferries in downtown. There are lovely gardens and a castle within 5mins of walking distance. When we arrived there was also a concert going on in the back park which you can see from the houses backyard. Our hosts Sylvia and Ross were nothing but helpful in finding us a restaurant for dinner to advising us when to take the Black Ball Ferry since only 3 leave a day and are usually booked out. Everything during our stay was beautiful and we loved our little suite overlooking the gardens and all of the beautiful flowers that were placed everywhere from garden roses to peonies in the room and across the house. There were also fancy shampoos, lotion, and bath salts in the bathroom that smelled amazing. The breakfasts was amazing and all organic and freshly made by Sylvia with house-made granola, fresh fruit, Chocolate stuffed croissants and gourmet egg dishes called blossoms that are baked in filo dough and made fresh with a side of smoked salmon. We enjoyed our stay and it was a very "homey" atmosphere. The price is a little bit on the higher side but the breakfast and great hosts make you feel like you're at your favorite aunts house.

Beautiful grounds, rooms and furnishings, not to mention the delicious gourmet breakfasts. The owner is a delightful host and chef!

The most beautiful B&B in Victoria, as far as we can see. Located in the perfect area, lovely gardens and a wonderful place to walk around as well as being central to many quaint neighborhoods with good restaurants and shops. Everything was immaculate and beautiful, simply elegant and comfortable. Most comfortable bed we've had traveling, and the room was quiet and peaceful at night. The time we spent there was relaxing, especially with the giant 2-person soaking tub in our suite overlooking the garden. The breakfasts are everything you could want, from house-made granola, fresh fruit, and still-warm scones & muffins to gourmet egg dishes made to order with sides of delectable proteins such as smoked salmon, local bacon, and ham. Ross & Sylvia, the hosts, are welcoming, kind and thoughtful, going out of their way to give us a breakfast on an early-start morning and helping us track down what we needed for our sightseeing. While discussing their spectacular garden, I told Sylvia that peonies were my favorite flower and we cannot grow them where we live. She promptly swapped out the roses in our room with a bowl of peonies, and then refreshed the bowl with fresh different colors of peonies throughout our stay. We have stayed at another 5-star B&B right across the street, but will always stay at Fairholme Manor from now on - it really is the ultimate experience. Absolutely perfect.

As good as it gets! For sure. This absolutely beautiful Bed and Breakfast located in downtown Victoria British Columbia is stunning. The gardens and grounds are immaculately kept, the breakfasts are delicious and the rooms have amazing views and are loaded with amenities. The innkeepers Ross and Sylvia are great hosts.

Excellent! My wife and went there with her parents and it was charming, beautiful and the food was amazing! The owner was personable and took her time to talk to us and answer any questions we had. My mother in-law has her cookbook and told me the granola mix she made was actually from that book. We just went there for brunch, but the rooms that you can stay in are amazing!

My wife and I fell in love with this place! We stayed a full week here. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite, and we had great views of the ocean and the Olympic Mountains. The B&B is just far enough off the main road that we never heard any traffic or other cars going by. Sylvia & Ross are great hosts; very welcoming, warm people. Sylvia makes the best breakfasts. You get fresh baked goods each morning, along with delicious gourmet cooking. I looked forward to breakfast each day.

This Inn is absolutely amazing! It is a quaint little in just on the edge of Victoria, just minutes from downtown. Hosts Ross and Sylvia are simply the best at what they do! They know the are perfectly and are quick to give recommendations on even the smallest desire. The breakfast served each morning is cooked and prepared by Sylvia herself. She is an amazing cook with two of her very own published cooking books (also for sale!). Comfortable bed, amazing walk-in shower, and our room also has the jetted jacuzzi bathtub! If Victoria is you destination, then make sure Fairholme Manor Inn is where you stay!

I wanted to gut-check our plan to take the ferry from Seattle, use Uber to get to their hotel (and could we please leave our luggage up front since we'd arrive before check in? - to which the answer was, "of course you can!"), and then use Uber all around town. The very pleasant woman I spoke with (those months before arriving) assured me that our plan should work splendidly, and they looked forward to having us. Upon arrival, we were greeted by two of the nicest front desk people, who took our luggage for storage, then found our room had indeed been cleaned as early as possible and was in fact ready for us for early check in immediately! The property itself is reminiscent of a period of taste and attention to detail that seldom exists any more. Our room was beautiful: spacious, with two separate bathroom sinks and a separate jetted tub and walk-in shower, plus a small sitting area and plenty of space! So nicely appointed with everything in its place, and everything working. The entire lobby and library/lounge area was also beautifully appointed, and so homey and inviting. And breakfast - included with the room - was elaborate and scrumptious. Each day features both sweet and savory options; for example, pancakes, or eggs and bacon. My wife and I got one of each and shared them. It was all delectable. And each day's menu, specially prepared and printed for that day, includes a weather forecast for the day - even with temperatures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit! We had such a wonderful stay that we hated to leave. We'd look forward to visiting Victoria again and would definitely choose Abigail's hotel again!!

The Library was a great quiet location, the room (Opal room) was comfortable, large, and provided greaat views out the many windows of the trees around the building. We particuly enjoyed breakfasts offered. Different each day, the quality was excellent as was fresh brewed coffee. Given the number of guests and limited dining room space for tables, the hotel requested us to pick a timeframe to dine so that the pace for table availabilty and meals were manageable. We chose 8:30A and we arrived each day with 10 minutes of that time. Worked great to get a table without feeling rushed or the food delayed in arriving! And each afternoon the chef put out a nice spread of meats/cheeses sometime, and homemade soup other times. All in all a great experience!

Vanessa, a professional cook and baker, made every meal with her loving care. I'm usually not a breakfast fan, but the homemade apple strudel, granola, scones, and omelets were too much to resist. If you want to feel like you're staying with friends while in Victoria, this is the place to go. Quaint decor, and great hospitality are what you'll find here. We loved their furry/feathered friends, Butler, their cat and two Moroccan Cockatoos, Chucky and Casper! Vanessa and Dean were great about being there when we needed them for info about activities or directions, and also great about not jeopardizing our privacy. We stayed in the lovely Lavender Room for 4 wonderful nights. We really enjoyed having the garden patio at our disposal since the nights were worth sitting out in. We lit some tea lights, and enjoyed some cold beverages by starlight. It is an older house, so there was no A/C and the room could get hot and stuffy during the day, but with the door or window cracked open a bit, and a small fan running, we always got a cool enough ocean breeze at night to keep us happy. There was a TV in the room with cable and a built in DVD player on the side. Down in the entrance in the Harry Potter computer nook we found the internet provided was fast and dependable. Since we are young and wild and had no idea when we would be coming or going at night we were relieved to find that you have your own key code so it wasn't an issue and we didn't disturb the hosts or any other guests. The B&B is within walking distance to many shops, Fisherman's Wharf, and downtown Victoria. Vanessa was an absolute doll and even packed a lunch for us since we had to catch our departing ferry at 6AM and would miss her phenomenal breakfast!! Another fun feature of the bed and breakfast is that they even have a couple friendly spirits in residence. I didn't experience them myself, but I love hearing ghost tales about old buildings. A thousand kudos to this lovely B&B! Our stay was worth every cent and more!

Vanessa and Dale are amazing hosts and run the best B&B I have ever been to. The room was clean, quite, and beautiful, the bed was amazingly comfortable, and having a small TV with cable was a nice feature usually lacking in B&B's. Wireless Internet worked perfectly and was very handy. They also had a guest computer in the main area available for use 24/7. The hotel is in a great location if you don't mind a short (8 min) walk to the inner harbor. Parking was no problem, and it is in a VERY safe neighborhood, which was nice to walk in at any time of the day. Vanessa is an AMAZING chef, her breakfasts were perfectly prepared and seasoned, pray that you get a day where she is making Eggs Benedict, which was some of the best I have ever had. The omelets were incredible, and the home-made granola was a real treat! Have Vanessa hand draw you a map of a fun drive! We went to Sooke, which was not much of a town, but had a nice little beach on a man made breaker that was a good little get-away from the city. I cannot say how wonderful this accommodation made our trip, truly a stellar establishment. Thanks Vanessa!!!!!!

My husband and I spent four nights here (actually we had only reserved three nights, but I couldn't stand to leave so soon. We were very lucky to be able to book a fourth night in our Persia room). Every morning we were served an amazing four-course vegan breakfast. (Something different and equally amazing every day!) I am a vegan, and the fact that they are happy to accommodate special diets was the first thing that drew me to this place. I actually did a Google search for "vegan bed and breakfast Victoria B.C." and that was how I discovered this gem. Danuisa and Wanja were so wonderful and friendly. One or both of them greeted us every morning with a smile. I don't know how they did everything they did. I swear they were like ninjas...while we ate breakfast our bed was always made, trash was emptied, and everything was tidied. When we left in the evenings, even if for just 20 minutes, we'd come back to a turned-down bed with chocolates and a light on in our room. This was impressive to me! I loved the complimentary Amarone della Valpolicella in the library. Speaking of the library, wow! What a fun place to hang out! I can't think of one negative thing to say about this place. Perhaps that's why I was also unable to find anything less than a five-star review of it while doing my research beforehand. "Exquisite" really is the best word to describe this place. Thank you Danuisa and Wanja for such an enjoyable and memorable stay! I have already told my parents that they have to come here, my Facebook friends that this was my favorite trip I've ever taken, and will continue to highly recommend Villa Marco Polo every chance I get! My favourite thing to do was meander out into the garden after breakfast and read in the quiet morning light with bumble bees collecting pollen peacefully right next to me. We stayed in the Alexandria room, and the double soaker bathtub, the Victorian reading nook, the Persian rugs, and the soft light were among the 100 reasons I want to make this a yearly place to visit.

Jennifer is an enthusiastic host, very knowledgeable about Victoria, and a five-star cook as well. Our room (the Florence) was lovely to look at at exceedingly comfortable, and the add-on room for our daughter was adorable, affordable, and right next to our room. Our private bathroom was across the hall but that was never even remotely inconvenient; the inn only has three guest rooms, so I never ran into anyone in the hallway. Plus, the house may be historic but the plumbing is brand-new and the shower was marvelous with the thickest, fluffiest, whitest towels I've ever seen! Breakfasts are in the dining room and they will knock your socks off: we had baked French toast with apples, blueberry-packed pancakes with sausages, fresh fruit, granola and yogurt, orange juice, coffee and tea. Jennifer was sensitive to my daughter's coconut allergy and made sure not to make anything with coconut while we were there. Fisher House is just five blocks from downtown on a peaceful, tree-lined residential street, within easy walking distance of wherever you need to get to.
