Sometimes I'll need clothes for a one-off event, or I just want something I can wear, spill milk on, and not cry over. Goodwill and I get along, then, and this is a big Goodwill. It doesn't seem as crowded or picked-over as the location farther south on Cooper, either. Having a big selection can be kind of a double-edged sword: - It takes longer to thumb through one hundred shirts than twenty shirts, and this store has one hundred and twenty of everything. Check items carefully for stains. - Given that there's less foot traffic, you'll see the same items over and over if you visit often. You probably want to space your visits out to allow for more inventory turnover. If you have half an hour to an hour of free time and a very patient friend or partner, give this Goodwill a try.

When "waste not, want not" is a core value, thrifting sparks joy…read more It's especially rewarding when I'm able to find what I'm looking for at a fraction of the price of a new item; and this Goodwill makes that so easy. Most items are in the vicinity of where you'd expect them to be, with better organization on a weekday morning than any "dress for less" store by the time evening rolls around. I love that they've moved some of the toys under the racks of children's clothes so the little one can play while I peruse, because thrifting takes a lot of time for inspection. My last few minutes at Goodwill was backdropped by karaoke-quality singing. I thought it was a customer who had started early, but it turned out to be an employee.
