He has a great personality, and classes with him are really enjoyable for my daughter. He helped her to understand math concepts better and also prepared her perfectly well for the math section of SAT exam. My child is much more confident now with math, and currently she is taking AP math class, and her grades are really good. She is a Senior at school now, and already was accepted at the university she desired. I believe George's tutoring contributed to her academic success tremendously. In addition to his exceptional professionalism, George is very responsible and very accommodating - he always tries to find time to make up classes if you have some unexpected issues or emergencies. This score was a massive 300-point improvement from my PSAT that I took the year before. Initially, Jen's class helped me to familiarize myself and solve the different types of reading, grammar, and math questions, giving me the initial bump to the 1450 range on a practice test. Then, she taught me to be more vigilant regarding the more deceptive questions, ultimately allowing me to get consistent scores in the mid to high 1500s on the College Board practice SATs. Throughout the process, Jen was very accommodating and answered all of my and my parent's questions about the DSAT. I highly recommend this class to students at all levels looking to improve their scores and can't thank Jen enough for my improvement.

I personally credit Dr. O'Connor for whipping me back in to shape after I failed out of the University of Maryland. I encourage any student or family member that is in need of direction and a no nonsense approach to seek out Prep Matters.

For all this time, I have been exceptionally pleased with the instruction and the results. I have, most recently utilized the services of Sunhee, an SAT tutor who has singlehandedly enabled my daughter to raise her SAT score by over 200 points. The experience of SAT test prep, which can be grueling, unpleasant and painful, has been actually enjoyable for my daughter. I think this has much to do with the relationship and rapport she has developed with Sunhee. From the first session to the last, he has been responsive, supportive, encouraging, and motivational. Sunhee is not the only tutor who has yielded exceptional results for my children. Both of my sons also used Prep Matters tutors, and I was equally and exceptionally pleased with the academic support and guidance they received. In all cases, my kids reached their target scores as a result of the instructional tips and strategies the tutors provided and were accepted into competitive colleges. I have also known Ned Johnson, the owner, for over two decades. He is an incredible person, dedicated to achieving success for all Prep Matter students. He has called me at home to discuss my kids' progress and has personally met with my kids when they have struggled academically or needed an extra boost of encouragement. He cares about each and every student who walks through his doors, remembering their names and stories long after they have graduated from high school and gone to college. Ned is an extraordinary man and the example he sets is on full display in the staff he employs. His tutors work hard to achieve results, embracing the same values inculcated by Ned. In many ways, Prep Matters feels like a family. This is a personal tutoring experience that adapts strategies specific to a child's needs. This daughter is my youngest and will close this chapter of my life. I will always be grateful to Ned and to Prep Matters for being there for me and my kids--for believing in them and working with them to create the best possible outcomes.

We were amazed at how poorly the actual Bethesda/NW area classes were run, if not often cancelled, and worse yet how the highly touted web experience was substandard when it worked. My son's scores increased dramatically, he liked the personalities of the CE staff, and the writing program not only put him with a high score it actually helped him do better in his secondary school English classes. He did not balk at the prep work and actually found the CE instructors to be helpful and informative. Finally, there are a lot of unanticipated issues that arise throughout the SAT prep and college admissions process. CE was consistently accessible, responsive, and incredibly helpful. CE did not try to "amp us up" or steer us to "private tutors" which are often the recommendations of their competitors. Our youngest child will unequivocally be attending CE as well.
