We joined Komodo when both children were struggling in second and fourth grade, respectively. The teachers at the center have been wonderful with the children, they get a small class (5 or less students to one teacher) with individual attention. The center has also been very flexible with our requests for changes to schedule and with requests to focus on certain topics that the children struggle with. Both children have improved their grades dramatically and their elementary school teachers have noticed an improvement in their confidence at school. Highly recommend!

She has been fabulous to work with, and she's made sure we are happy with the tutors she matches us up with. Michelle always gives us options when selecting a tutor, and we've been so happy with the results. My older son was having so much trouble with virtual learning that he was failing every class. Michelle matched us with an amazing tutor that connected well with my son, tutored in the subjects he needed most, and tutored in executive functioning. With the tutor's assistance, that mostly turned out to be in executive functioning and walking him through the steps to write a huge history paper, my older son ended up with A's and B's for the rest of the year. My younger son needed some help in writing this past year. Michelle recommended what seemed to be an unusual pairing, but my son is so inspired by this writing tutor that instead of playing video games, he takes time to write pieces for her to go over with him and suggest improvements. My older son is also seeing her now as well and is gaining valuable feedback on how he can improve his school writing assignments.

Would HIGHLY recommend this tutoring company to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and professional…read moretutor or executive function coach to work with their child. We have used this service for the last two and half years and cannot tell you how much we have benefited from the support of the coaches that have worked with our son. His confidence has improved with his writing, learning how to organize his thoughts better when tackling history and English Language Arts assignments. He's doing more than just the bare minimum, including more descriptive language and details. He's proactively creating outlines while reading to set himself up for success when trying to remember details later for questions or discussions. He's gotten better at self-advocacy, reaching out to teachers via email, when he's unsure of how to tackle an assignment or something isn't working correctly vs. just ignoring the issue. All things he wouldn't dream of doing on his own two years ago. Added bonus is that it has taken some of the pressure off of us, his parents, and the stress it was causing us when "nagging" him about his homework and missing assignments. Just wish we would have started sooner!!
