It doesn't matter how many times you've took the LSAT or who got into law school before you. Your time is coming. I've took the LSAT MULTIPLE times and have a history of underperformance on standardized tests. I never understood why until I found Shana. I never thought for a second that I possibly could be suffering from test anxiety. Test anxiety takes on many forms, but Shana will help you through it. I've been working Shana for the past two weeks remotely and let me tell you she's truly God sent. Whether you're religious or spiritual (maybe neither) it doesn't matter, but she's truly a blessing. Shana is passsionate about the work that she does and her students. Shana is a teacher at heart and she breaks down the material in such a way that things start to click instantly. Shana not only helps you master the LSAT, but she provides you with test anxiety strategies that will make studying easy. I look forward to studying with Shana and doing my hw. When you work with her, she will start to peel away at the layers of your anxiety. This needs to be done in order to make progress. Your anxiety has been in control far too long and it's time to let it go. Even if you're not suffering from anxiety, adhd, or other learning disabilities Shana is for EVERYONE. Most of the instructors have never been teachers before and only started after scoring in the 99th percentile on the LSAT. Now that isn't a bad thing, of course you want to be in a class with an instructor who aced the exam( in my opinion). However, just because you're good at something doesn't mean you're qualified to teach it. Also, if you suffer from anxiety, adhd, and other learning disabilities they might not be able to provide you with the support/accommodations that you need. Shana is and her work speaks for herself.

My son was in Kumon 2 years prior to transferring to this center. Our experience with the Kumon in…read moreLaurel was fantastic. It was well run, organized and focused on the fundamentals of Kumon. We had to change centers because we moved. I actually looked at the Kumon Silver Spring on New Hampshire previously before going to the Laurel center, but decided not to go with this center because I could never get anyone to return my calls. That should have been a sign! When we moved and it just made more logistical sense to go to the Kumon on New Hampshire we reluctantly changed centers. First of all the center is visibly disorganized, particularly if you go there on a day where there are classes. Something we never experienced at the Laurel Center. Also, as opposed to observing my son during a timed setting once a week when he went to the center (as we were used to in Laurel), they focused all of his time at the center on making homework corrections. Kumon is supposed to focus on accuracy and speed, they rarely ever saw the two skills together with my son except when he tested to move from one level to another. The administrative management was the worse! Kumon's are independently owned and operated franchises, so just because they all bare the Kumon name does not mean they are all the same. Again, whenever I left a message on the voicemail at this center I NEVER received a return call. In the end I needed to manage another administrative matter with them and I received countless promises from the husband (its a wife and husband ran operation) that he would follow up with me and get back to me, he NEVER did. I would encourage discerning parents who are looking for a Kumon experience for their kids to look at other options in the area. There are a couple that are not too far from this center and I know based on experience, you and your child would have a better Kumon experience.
