I like the SAT prep for the reading. I think it helped a lot with understanding grammar on the SAT. The teacher explained the grammar parts really well. For the passage questions, it was much harder for me to understand why I got something wrong because you sometimes had to already have some kind of understanding of the topic (mainly the science based passages). I feel like the teacher explained those as best as they could but it just didn't click with me as some of the right answer choice explanations were not convincing in why I should choose that specific answer. Overall, learning at Aplus has been positive. For this specific class, I liked it more for the grammar as I got almost everything right on the grammar section.Learning the passage questions at aplus was a bit challenging personally. Each person learns differently through explanations and i feel like the explanations were not convincing enough at times as to why an answer was correct for the passages. read more

My goal for my daughter is to help her enjoy learning so she becomes a lifelong student. My daughter has never enjoyed learning as much as she's enjoying it at APLUS Learning Ctr. First class, Mrs. LaBanca took the time to assess my daughter as a whole - her interests, strengths and weakness, etc. She then tailored the sessions and readings based on my daughter's interests. Mrs. Muhn's energy, passion for teaching and use of current events to build the kids critical thinking skill is creative and engaging...I want to register and join the discussions! I strongly recommend APLUS for those who want to improve their academic performance. My son, Erik, went there two times. First time it was to prepare for Magnet test (he passed it with colors). Last time it was for SAT Boot Camp. The programs, in general, are very demanding but so efficiently organized that students cope with rigid requirements easily. APLUS programs are perfectly calibrated for students with different levels of preparedness. We strongly recommend the summer camp at A Plus. Our son is a rising 6th grader and attends both math and English classes at A Plus. The math curriculum is challenging but students learn solid contents, enhance the logic to calculate and get a real taste of middle school math. My son attended APLUS' summer program. Since COVID-19 pandemic, the class was converted to online Zoom meeting. The online class usually makes the students less concentrated especially learning difficult math problems, however, Mr. March engaged the students with active interactions and encouraged participation. The Aplus Learning Center in my opinion I would highly recommend. I signed my daughter up who is a rising 8th grader and she loves it! Aplus prepares your child for school while making learning fun.The teacher are so kind and encouraging. Her math teacher goes through all the assignments once the students are finish and encourages them to ask questions. Her English teacher also encourages students to discuss and relate some topics to the real world, and helps them develop their critical thinking skill. Excellent tutoring center to bring students who desire a boost in academics. Has enrichment and superb magnet classes that help boost student's knowledge in different subjects. Due to COVID, learning is done online but programs are still plentiful to choose from and classes are still ongoing online. The SAT bootcamp is a good learning environment; the mock test environment was very beneficial in my prep for the SAT. The review days were useful as well, and the math tutor was very knowledgeable. My only complaint is that the tests would occasionally have errors, but it is overall very helpful. read more
