We sat in the balcony and truly enjoyed our time. I can't wait to go again and try more of the delicious food and see another movie.

Instead of the bland curtain covered walls of modern theatres, here, you are transported through architectural elements and ornamentation to a Spanish courtyard under an evening sky. Periodically, the theatre presents classic movies. I was able to attend a showing of The Goonies, and while I already have this in my personal movie collection, getting the chance to see it once again on the big screen for the first time since 1985 was too tempting to pass up..."Goonies Never Say Die!" There are fewer than 50 Atmospheric Theatres left in the entire world. If you ever get a chance to attend a movie or live performance at this one, do yourself a favor and go to the show!

It's a bit spendy for what you get food-wise, though that seems to be the case everywhere these days. I like this place but haven't been in years so am happy to reconnect. Comfy seating in the theatre but screens are a bit dated. I will say the sound was pretty good. A decent movie-going experience with good enough food and drinks. Parking can be a bitch in this neighborhood though, with the new rules.

The bartender who took our order didn't write it down as he was taking it, which always makes me wonder if they will remember it correctly. He didn't. Carelessness. The bartender asked us which auditorium and our seat number and we were told that it would be delivered to our seats. Still no food an hour and 15 minutes into the movie so my partner went to check on it. He was told that they couldn't find us, which makes no sense unless the bartender entered the seats wrong. The cost was refunded but no dinner for us. Other than that the auditorium and seats are pretty nice but not better than any other theater. I doubt that I'll go back.

The theatre was pretty easy to find and parking in the area was simple to find for the 2pm showing. The theatre is under renovation currently and all proceeds from ticket sales go towards the renovations. No 3 Tattoo sponsored the event and was raffling off a sweet swag basket and lo & behold my ticket won! My Dad was very nostalgic and had a great time, so did my Mom & I. The theatre will be amazing once restorations are complete. They are having a year long film series and I hope to stop by here again to support a great cause. When it's done, at 1,000 seats, it will be the largest performance space between Tacoma and Portland. COME! See a great movie, live comedy, burlesque, author reading, or musicians and know by coming you are SUPPORTING this amazing space.

When we got in we found that the movie was showing in the little theater (#2). So, not so big a screen after all. The seats were pretty filled up and we were towards the back where there was a faint but distinct puke-ey smell and a nearby sidewall light that shined in our eyes even after being turned down for the movie. After 20 minutes of commercials the movie finally started, and the sound was so low that we could only make out half the dialog. We left after 10 minutes and are done with going to movie theaters.

Yes concessions are expensive. But for me its part of the experience, I love a big tub of buttered popcorn and ice cold pepsi with my first run movie. Sound was decent for small venue. Seats were comfortable enough and clean. Movie times posted were accurate. I'd recommend this place if you're looking to see a flick out here in my hometown of Astoria :)
