We made a last minute reservation as we were driving from Milwaukie all the way to Hillsboro. Our original plans didn't work out but wanted to give my 16 month old a fun day anyway. From the second we walked in we were greeted with genuine enthusiasm for being there. I love the layout as I can watch him from anywhere. There was so much for him to do (even though he was at the train table 80% of the time!) and it was all SO cute! I don't know if we just got lucky, but every other parent/caretaker was extremely kind as well. Also, they give out a free toy and snack on the way out which definitely helped with the heartbreak of leaving. We will definitely be back a bazillion more times!

I truly didn't look at Yelp before buying tickets to the museum and a showing of the planetarium. My fiancé and I finished walking the museum in 30 minutes because it was full of children from camp. We weren't going to play or interact with the museums when children were there and it was sciences we already knew. I was saddened thinking it was a museum for adults. In addition, we absolutely bought the wrong tickets for the planetarium. We ended up at a KPOP Delon Hunters Laser Show. We didn't know what to expect. Whoever made the show did an exceptional job, but we wanted to see something that completely encompasses the entire planetarium. Ultimately, perfect for children. Not adults. The 4 stars is that it is still a great museum.... For children.

Play Street Museum is located in a nice shopping center with plenty of parking. When we arrived, we were greeted and welcomed by the employees. It is a shoe-free place so make sure you're prepared to wear socks. I was impressed by the entire setup of Play Street Museum. It is very clean, accessible for all ages, and there is a variety of play options. The setup makes it easy to move around to each area. There is an airplane that has different realistic airplane sounds. There is a food/kitchen area, a veterinarian office, a home space with a kitchen and babies, an outer-space section, an ice cream truck, tables with different activities like drawing, sorting, building, and a large lego table. There is so much imaginative play options. All of the toys were clean and seemed new. There is also options to add extra activities like make your own slime, paint pottery, and dye a hat or apron. The ticket comes with a tour of an actual boat, which we did first, it's a steep ladder to go down into the boat so I would recommend only to people in better health. You can walk on top of the boat as well if you can't go down inside. The actual museum itself is so well curated and has SO many rooms and exhibits to look at. They have 3D movie options which we didn't do, but the museum itself is beautifully done and worth it if you have time in Astoria.
