Not only he was skilled but he has a very calm demeanor that made me feel comfortable throughout the process. For my visits, it goes without saying that he did an amazing job as he was able to heal both my ailments almost miraculously. For the record, I visited him first for my shoulder pain and skin. The clinic is very comfortable; felt "homey" compared to most clinics that have the typical hard white tiles and white rooms that makes you feel like you are in a doctors' office. The clinic radiates with calming energy as if your worries just dissipates right when you get into the door. As for Dr. Yoon, he is very professional, calm (as mentioned before), knowledgeable about every symptom I explained to him, and most importantly, easy to understand. During the actual acupuncture, I did not feel a pinch but rather a sense of calmness and relaxation. I was then able to nap for 30 minutes, which I must say is one of the deepest naps I ever had. After waking up, Dr. Yoon gave me more information about after care. The next day, my shoulder pain was absolutely gone as if I never had it. The same experience goes with my skin condition; healed almost completely. Definitely going to him again for any injuries or sicknesses. I highly recommend him for acupuncture. But I was looking for a practice who could provide deeper assessment and more individual care plans. My intake was great - they were able to get me into the office workin a few days of calling and the intake exam was very thorough. Dr. Weider took me through my results and made sure I understood and was comfortable with the treatment plan. We also discussed when my next assessment would be to evaluate progress with treating the issues causing my pain, rather than just managing it. It has been easy to set up appointments online or through phone which has been nice and the front desk staff has been friendly. They've also been sure to make sure I understood all my insurance benefits. I'm really happy with my experience here and hopeful for how my treatment will progress.

I have been to North Seattle Community Acupuncture now three times and thrilled with results I have…read morereceived, only after three visits. I recently fractured my ankle and its been six weeks and I am in the final healing stages. I signed up on their website and chose Melissa R. She was caring and really understood and listened to the problems I was having with my body. She noticed how swollen my ankle still was and decided to focus primarily on my ankle but also on weight loss, insomnia and my plantar fasciitis. Her needle placement was perfect and no pain and her methods were very gentle, even on tense areas I have ( like my palm and bottom of my feet ). It's a little intimidating being in a room with other people but I felt relaxed within 5 minutes of my treatment. All of a sudden Melissa was waking me up, and I couldn't believe that I fell asleep as that never happens! I have taken a 30ish min nap each time I have been and that is incredible that I am able to sleep in a situation like that ( for my active mind ). My ankle in 10 days has drastically reduced swelling and I am ready to hit the gym gently again as I am able to fully weight my ankle. I am sleeping better, and through the night and my food cravings are less. We are still working on my Fasciitis but it's pretty extreme and I do feel a mild difference ( which has to do with the shoes I wear, ect ) You pay based on your financial situation from $20-$40 for normal treatment, and self check out when you leave. I love that I can use my FSA card and although they don't accept insurance you can bill your insurance on your own and they will provide you a insurance receipt. I plan to continue to go one to two times a week. I feel relaxed and love the level of care i get and although my last experience was at a teaching hospital I definitely like seeing a expert and the immediate results I noticed is incredible for me. One point is they are a NO FRAGRANCE clinic. So keep in mind when making your appointment as they won't be able to treat you if you emit a fragrance. Even laundry softener can emit strong fragrances in a clinic like that so plan ahead as that is their policy to protect their patients sensitivities.
