Great board game store to visit with a date or group of friends…read more Came here in person at rush hour to pick up a game, as I didn't want to pay for shipping online. It's located in Richmond Hill in the business/warehouse district off a windy road called West Beaver Creek. The address is easy to find, lots of free plaza parking, it's next to a kids dance studio and very visible store sign. Nothing sus like another yelper stated. Inside is very spacious, clean and bright. I love how organised the shelving for new games were laid out and they even more games in back. Off the walk in, I was greeted immediately and four employees were excited to help me. They are game experts and could name off suggestions for games quickly, to pair with similar games I had in mind. Super fun to nerd off in the board game world here! I always cross reference with boardgamegeek.com first when planning to new purchases, but asked them in person to see if opinions lined up. I was impressed one employee was quick to suggest ones I never heard of. Prices are good to fair. I felt no pressure to buy anything there, they even offered if I wanted to test ones that they have opened or to get a feel of the pieces(card game quality for kid durability is real). I left with buying three games I had eyed online, and excited for the suggestions for the next visit. They have a free loyalty program, can't hurt to sign up when you're a board game investor, as this is one place to bookmark. No food or cafe noticed here, unlike other board game places. Maybe one day as they are still new.

First time coming here. Upon entering, it's a bit confusing as to where you're supposed to go. The…read morefront desk is tucked away in the back and there were tables/guests blocking the walk way so it was difficult to see where to check in. I got a table in the main area with 2 of my friends. You have to pay a minimum of $15 per person, but for my party, it was a collective of $45 split between the 3 of us. We ended up ordering 3 drinks, 1 French fry, and 1 sweet potato friends. Unlimited game play and you can stay for however long you want. The food and drinks were mediocre but we still enjoyed our time here. They have a decent amount of board games to choose from. They have about 6 private rooms that you can book with your friends if you wanted more privacy. The main area can get loud and crowded as the tables are placed side by side from each other. I saw some mahjong tables and poker sets too. Overall, we enjoyed our time here and we like that it stays open until 2AM. Service was OK. One of the staff members was kind enough to recommend some games too.

Location/Service This place is the intersection of Warden…read moreand Denison - within a small commercial/business plaza. There's plenty of parking there and it's not usually packed. Interior is completed renovated - it's quite nice and a lot more classy than it initially first started. There are different rooms - dedicated to either Mahjong or Murder Mystery or just simple board games. Staff spoke mostly in Mandarin - generally pretty nice when we dropped by. Setup/Drinks You can either do a min $25 per person to play board games - which can include drinks to order. No time limit (I believe). A wide variety of Chinese/English games available - so there should be something available for your liking. You can also do Murder Mystery - this is in Mandarin - and it's around $30-$40. Basically you are given a role and you retell your story and find out from others who would be the killer. The staff would be a facilitator to help navigate/direct flow of the game. You can also do Mahjong - this is around $100-$125 per table, no time limit. Drinks are extra though - we ended up getting a free drink because the owner was a little nice to us for coming in for the first time. And there was a small hiccup with the mahjong table - which is an automated one, where it would auto shuffle and assemble for you. For drinks, I won't comment too much - it was pretty basic - and it ranges from bubble tea to slushies to just flower tea. The mahjong table was pretty cool - and since it was our first time coming in after their renovation, it was a nice try. We ended up staying there for almost 3-4 hours, just you know cause it's mahjong. I feel this place is more opened to the Mandarin population and not out to the public. They do have a WeChat account and you can talk to the owner directly to setup any gaming preferences.
