Solid ayce hotpot and bbq spot but nothing to write home about. $43 pp for dinner. Good sauce bar and fairly fresh ingredients. I preferred the hotpot over KBBQ

    Almost finished dry pot lol

There's a great selection of ingredients and they offer both hot pot and dry pot, and also Korean BBQ though I haven't been for the KBBQ portion. Their AYCE and AYCD seem amazing too. Note, there's a 3%+ credit card convenience fee, and the suggested tip they offer is not only on top of the sales tax, but also on top of the credit card convenience fee. It's nice to be generous with tip, but that should be a choice and not placed for an unknowing customer to pay extra. If you were to pay 18% tip, in total the tax + fee + tip is already ~30% of the subtotal.

On the positive side, the service was super attentive and the meat quality was good. The lack of selection was frustrating though. In a city where both BBQ and Hot Pot are so prevalent, it was really surprising to see such a limited menu of both proteins and vegetables. Even the sauce bar had about half of the items we'd normally expect.

Great new find! The quality of the individual hot pot items were all pretty good, esp the quail eggs, head-on shrimp, fried tofu skins, fresh tofu squares, and the tofu thread knots. One other nice unique thing is they have a mini bbq ring surrounding the hot pot bowl so you can grill some of your items for variety. Overall a great place, but giving 4 instead of 5 stars bc they charged extra for the sauce bar, had inattentive service (no one ever came to refill our water or clear the dirty plates), and for some reason, neither my husband nor I left feeling like it was an amazing meal. Maybe hotpot just has a ceiling, though I did feel like Haidailao and some flushing spots warranted 5 stars.

Upon entering, you're greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for gathering with friends or family. The attentive staff promptly seats you and explains the concept of hotpot, ensuring even newcomers feel at ease. The menu boasts a wide array of fresh ingredients, from thinly sliced meats to a colorful assortment of vegetables. Cooking your own food at the table adds an element of fun and interaction to the dining experience. Whether you prefer your meats tender or your veggies crisp, you're in control of your meal from start to finish. I had a great time, and so I would recommend this place!

This place was a phenomenal value for both hot pot and bbq AYCE. But their sign did mention that they are switching to bbq only soon. We added ourselves to the waitlist around 7:30pm while we walked around in the area. We were seated maybe 30-40 minutes later. They give you an iPad to order things off of, so we used that to order our meats and veggies. The canned soft drinks also came with the AYCE package. I was impressed with the selection given the price, but of course not all of the meats were that high quality. I would avoid the pork belly and the lamb as those weren't that great, but I would still come back for the AYCE deal for all of the other foods. I'm curious to see how it will change when they no longer offer hot pot, but I'm glad I was able to take advantage of the deal while it lasted!

Solid hotpot place with a good variety of fresh ingredients/sauces! I went with a large party and thus had two pots which affected my overall experience but excluding human factors, I think this place was solid. You order everything (only al la carte available) on an ipad. Things came out pretty quick! I primarily ate out from the fish broth 酸菜鱼 which was a solid soup base by itself but maybe a little salty in addition to other sauces if you like this on the lighter side. I think the meat, veggies, and mushrooms were all very fresh. I liked their bean curd products including the bean curd knots and fried bean curd rolls. In addition to hot pot, they also have a grill around the pot and one of the appetizers was cheesy corn which was well seasoned. While I wish they had a little bit more options with their appetizers, their sauce bar was pretty comprehensive ranging from dry ingredients (green onions, sesame, etc) to their sauces, condiments, and oils. Our table also made sure to make use of their unlimited soju deal for a flat price!! The decor was very futuristic with an outer space theme. Staff were attentive and quick to act on requests/orders.

My friend's and I came here because we saw all the hype on tiktok and instagram. In my opinion, it did not live up to the hype. This hotpot BBQ is a la cart, which means it's NOT all you can eat. Your menu and how you order, is all done on an iPad. For the price that we paid, and the amount of food you get, it was not worth it at all. We ordered the split broth, Pork Bone Broth, and Tomato Broth for the other. The beef tongue, was actually really good, as this was our favorite meat of the whole meal. I cant even remember what other meats we got, it was THAT forgettable. The service we got was okay, it was hard to grab any of the servers attention. Since it was our first time here, we didn't know the sauce bar was complimentary with the meal, until afterwards when we were rechecking the online reviews. I wish they had asked if we had been here before, so that they could explain things to us. As for the ambiance, it's a cute little shop with a space theme. There was a large moon hanging up top, and the bathroom had cute decor. I probably would not come back to this restaurant since the price was a little high for the quality we were receiving.

Our daughter picked the perfect place for us to celebrate an unconventional Thanksgiving. Three Hotspot BBQ is a very lively, instagrammable, and delicious experience! We picked the two flavor broths to share- a mushroom and a picked fish. Wow, the fish broth really packed a punch- really good if you like the flavor of pickles! We ordered a wide variety of reasonably priced items to cook in the hot broths- including mixed veg, prawns, fish, and tofu. Something for everyone! They have a sauce and extras bar where you can get Korean bbq sauce, garlic, kimchi, cilantro, and even fruit like watermelon and oranges! We loved everything about it here! Service was fast and friendly. And they go all out with a space theme- including a large moon overhead. Even the bathroom looked spacey cool!

Never let people carry their dog near shared food area. I won't be back. That's gross.

They have now gone to an all you can eat buffet rather than ordering from the menu and it has slipped in quality. It's $43.99 per person all day with most options available but about 1/4-1/3 of items now are an add-on for an additional fee. I just didn't like it as much. Then when I saw a lady come in carrying her dog that solidified it for me that this place is just ok now. We were already here when we realized that they are buffet style so we decided to give it a try.

The broths here are probably the most flavorful I've had in NYC. They were soooo good, especially the tomato one. This place is offering an AYCE deal for $43.99 for hot pot and bbq, but only for a limited time. I got to try both, but the hotpot to me was far better than the bbq. I feel like the bbq lacked effort, they didn't have that many meats, most were not marinated, but they also offered only two sauces that were especially for the bbq. The hotpot selection was good and had all the essentials and then some. I felt that the appetizers/side dishes they had were really good as well. They had these amazing brown sugar rice cakes that were crispy on the outside, but so soft on the inside. The waiter wasn't really helpful at first. We got seated and he didn't say anything just gave us the ipad basically, but as we started eating, he was more attentive. The interior was pretty cool. They have a huge moon in the middle, but we were sitting close to the door so it was cold.

    Ethan C.

Very good bang for your buck. The dry pot was the highlight, I think mine came out to be around ~$15 for 6 "items". The spice was great, and there was a decent amount of food as well. Friend got the hot pot with a tomato base, which was also similarly priced, but they did not seem to enjoy it too much. Said that the "Grade A Beef" was all rubbery fat, and the tomato base did not taste good. Would go back again for the dry pot.

    James G.

I went with a friend and we had the lunch special. You order from a tablet and the servers bring things out! I thought everything was good and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, I forgot to pull out peppers when the broth reached the appropriate level of spiciness so at the end of the meal, my broth was very spicey. I thought the servers were very friendly. I really enjoyed it!

We arrived on-time and waited another maybe 5 mins for our table. No biggie. I really love that each person gets their own soup pot. Makes it much easier when you've got a variety of spice levels to deal with. Everything we got was fresh and good quality. The restaurant space itself is very nice and modern feeling. Pretty large with a variety of table spaces and sizes. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. Service was good and they were pretty busy but it was only felt in my drink being delayed from the bar (placed before we ordered any food but showed up only after food arrived. Husband's beer arrived super fast though fwiw) My only gripe is the menu on the iPad thing - there are no descriptions of anything (including cocktails). We kept trying to click stuff on the iPad to see the description, but it was adding it to the cart. It would be great if there were descriptions, so you could see more detail about each item before you order (at least for the cocktails). We ate à la carte but the AYCE was starting while we were there and it looked pretty dope. Lots of good stuff laid out in large qty. All in all we will probably add this to our hotpot restaurant list and will return again.

Definitely a get if you love seafood. Yakitori overall was ok. They were all smothered in the same kind of sauce which took away from each pieces' flavor profile but overall they have a large menu offering for those looking for skewer options. For appetizers we recommend the tako wasabi (diced octopus in a wasabi based sauce) and the beef tongue. Ai Ki Ya is a great place for late night, Japanese soul food eats nestled in Korea town.
