Inside and out on the patio. They have a very nice and large bar top. The place is quite large with an open and airy feel. Definitely cool brewery vibes. The bathroom was really impressive; huge and spotlessly clean. They have a great selection of beers on tap from light to IPA. Stouts, darks - a beer for everybody. Beer only right now. I enjoyed a very tasty Mexican Lager (La Bamba). Becky begrudgingly enjoyed one as well. She no longer drinks beer. She lost nearly 50 pounds by switching to low carb, low calorie seltzers a few years ago. That was our only disappointment, no seltzers. Not even in cans in the cooler. If we ever return, she'll have to bring her own. Sunny Grove does not have a kitchen, but they do host a different food truck or pop-up nearly every day. There's a larger back patio filled with various succulents and bushes, ample seating with plenty of natural shade from trees along with tables with umbrellas. The beers I had were world class. Muntz is always a treat but even better from the source and Nectaron Express was an amazing expression of New Zealand hops paired with "devils lettuce" terpenes. Places like this are what elevate this industry and I'm glad that I was able to visit. Definitely a destination that anyone should seek out.

The bread is the perfect mix of garlic and cheese and may be one of my favorite foods ever. I also usually get a 1/2 lb of brisket that I can share with my dogs as I don't like fatty meat and they're more than happy to gobble up any pieces I don't like. The non-fatty brisket is always delicious though. I also tend to get the mac and cheese, which is tasty, and I tried the street corn once but was surprised that it was served cold and that it had beans in it. I just brought it home, heated it and picked the beans out and it was good but not worth the extra work. My husband likes the garlic marty pizza with artichokes and the pizzas are very good here. I like that the crust is thicker and there's a good ratio with sauce and cheese. There's a good selection of beers with some ciders and seltzers thrown in for variety. My only real complaint is that it's a good 45-60 minute drive so it's too far to just go for dinner but anytime I'm in Julian you can bet that I'll be making an appearance.

The drinks here are my favorite because to be honest, I'm a sours beer kind of guy and they have a whole building dedicated to it. The amount of variety when it comes to sours is great a prices are fair. Flavors pop but theirs also a good enough selection if you want a more chill sour that won't punch you in the face. The other building (not sure which is considered the main ones) has a large selection of your typical IPAs, lagers, you name it. The flavors are good and they seems to have some deals going on from time to time for cans to take home which I can appreciate. They also have a few board games to keep you entertained and seem to consistently have some options fora food vendor as well as many times having live music. Definitely worth the visit on a day you see them having one of these vendors or live bands you may be interested in. The people here seem to be very friendly with their regulars and greet you as if you're a friend. I think this bodes well with breweries considering you're usually here to have a good time and chill. It is located in an unassuming, industrial-looking building that has the feel of a former warehouse. Now it is a huge brewery with open seating. It was our first time here, so we decided to go with samplers. We ordered two samplers of four, picked three or four beers off the menu that grabbed our attention, and asked the gentleman taking our order to fill the rest with their most popular beers. He was kind enough to do so, with a brief verbal explanation of each. I must say, even though I prefer light beer these days, I really enjoyed all the samples to different degrees, even their Labyrinth, which contained 7.3% alcohol! My favorite, however, was their Light Beer (4.5%), a lager-style light beer. To accompany the beer, we ordered a pizza from a food truck outside the place, and it was a great combination. Altogether, it was a pleasant experience thanks to good service at the beginning, the very casual and relaxed atmosphere, and the tasty beer, which was the key to it all.

Most of the people in our group ordered beers, but I ordered a nonalcoholic prickly pear hibiscus ginger beer which was ok--pretty subtle, but it quenches the thirst all the same. I ordered the Farmer's burger (black bean) with added avocado and a side salad which comes with a lemon vinaigrette. I had to eat it with a knife and fork after removing the top bun. Very tasty. My daughter ordered crispy shrimp tacos which she really enjoyed. Most people ordered the backyard burger which looked pretty good--choice of fries or side salad. Freddy our server was friendly and helpful. Overall a good dining experience!
