Ribbit. It's good to see another home brewing crew take the leap into the tasting room space, especially amidst the great pandemic of 2020. Social distancing aside, they abide by current health and safety guidelines. Three Frogs Brewery had a neat variety of west coast ales when I visited, and I particularly enjoyed their golden stout collaboration. It is infused with Drunk Monkey coffee from neighboring Motorcycle Monkey Coffee. If you like beverages with hints of vanilla, caramel, and a bit of mild whiskey flavoring, then this could be something to check out. These guys have a great interest in their craft and are I hope they stick around for a while. I had a flight of everything and brought got a crowler home to enjoy later. Toad-ally awesome. read more

I read about this place in the SD Reader Beer News section when they first opened. My girlfriend, her friend and I stopped in here. My first time, not hers. The place is right off the 52 in Santee. The place was way smaller than I imagined which is fine, they had plenty of outdoor seating in the parking lot. They had 3 little terrariums too, each with a tiny tree frog in it! As for the beer, they only had a couple available that day and I got the golden stout I believe. Definitely a place to check out and support, I mean you cant get much more "small business" than this! Came in on a Friday night an hour before close. I actually passed it on my right heading west on Mission Gorge, so keep your eyes open! The parking lot is small but I am sure it accommodates the brewery after business hours just fine. They offer snacks (chips and some small batch home made popcorn), water, sodas, and a home made root beer for non drinkers. Table games on the inside and a little two person arcade set with all the classics. A covered outdoor area with plenty of seating, and inside you'll find a restroom and 5 restaurant-style tables. This seems like a great place to meet some friends for a low key social outing. I tried "BRAVO!" 5.5ABV, described on their menu as light, crisp, and easy drinking. They nailed this one. Their red was also quite good but I don't remember the details. Definitely stop in and give them a try! They can also do beer to go if you don't have time to stay and enjoy. read more

Visited on 12/16/23 with a buddy after hiking Mission Trails. Had the AJ IPA and he had the rotating IPA. Both were tasty. We also split the golden stout. Pours gold in color, not the usual darker color associated with a stout. Very tasty and my buddy said with hints of caramel. Andrew the bartender was cool and laid back. If you really care about the taste of beer, this brewery does it right. Tasted 3 - Blonde, AJ and Blueberry hefe, and enjoyed each. Husband like the Blonde the most. I agree with the other reviews! If you weren't looking for this place you would drive right past it.. Well worth a visit! Their beer is on par with the biggest in San Diego. I love this intimate small atmosphere where you can ask the owner and brewers anything you want. I took some to go! I will be coming back here especially for the atmosphere.. Small is good! You go to some of those other places downtown or in Miramar and you get those brewery shuttle buses dumping off loads of drunk tourists sometimes you just don't want that. read more

Complete hole in the wall awesomeness. The beer is seriously on par with any of the big name breweries except more creative. The pink IPA is reminiscent of Sculpin. The light coffee stout is insanely good. I haven't had a bad beer there. I've brought 2 families now and everyone has been impressed. If you like beer. You will like this place. I should also mention the owners are there working it. They are really good guys just trying to launch a dream. Supporting them feels as good as the beer tastes. If you are looking for the new age fancy brewery experience, look elsewhere. If you love beer more than a fancy building go here. read more

I saw this brewery a few days ago when picking up an order from Ferny's. My husband and I decided to check it out yesterday afternoon and we're so glad we did! I had the hibiscus wheat and blueberry wheat- both were seriously good beers! My husband had a couple different IPA's and he really enjoyed the flavors. We brought our two dogs and they loved it. One of the owners even brought them out some milk bones. The weather was perfect. Everyone on the patio was really nice and conversing with friendly strangers over beers felt good after being quarantined for so long. We will definitely be going back! read more

I was visiting Lindo Lake from Mission Valley, and was thirsting for a beer. I tried the rotating Frog IPA with Amarillo and Citra hops. Delicious! As an IPA drinker, I also recommend Not Your Golden Frog white IPA. They had Pirate catering onsite and had the spacious patio open for enjoying your food and brew. And, true to their name, they have three terrariums with amphibious residents on view. Pleasant litlle brewery with several styles on offer, and great, friendly service. read more
