Three Dollar Cafe has been an Atlanta staple since 1983 and still holds its place in the city's dining scene. In a bustling yet dated shopping center, this location draws a steady stream of business professionals looking for a familiar lunch spot. Despite the café's effort to diversify, with a bar area allowing cigar smoking, its ambiance remains in the past. However, for some, that's part of the charm. During my recent visit, the restaurant was packed, with the service seemingly run by what I assume are the husband-and-wife owners. Despite the lunch rush, they assured me I could be in and out within 35 minutes--and to their credit, they delivered on that promise. I ordered the hot chicken sandwich, which arrived at a perfect Scoville temperature--hot but not overpowering. While the sandwich hit the mark, one glaring misstep was the accompanying steak fries. Precut and likely frozen, they lacked the freshness and flavor to elevate the meal. Swapping those out for hand-cut fries would transform this dish from a solid four to an impressive eight. While the service was quick and welcoming, the café could greatly benefit from a little TLC. Investing in fresh ingredients and rethinking the cigar bar could bring new life into this beloved institution. Would I return? Perhaps, but only if they start putting as much care into the food as they do their heritage. read more

Three Dollar cafe on Windy Hill is the only location I've been to so I'm only speaking solely on my experience at this particular location. I happen to live across the street from the plaza which makes this things very convenient for eating options. Typically I call in for to go orders for my wife and 4 year old daughter, last week I walked in to place an order for my child in which my child was present with me. The cashier(woman) who took my order explained to me I could not order a kids meal to go for my 4 year daughter because it was under $10. This was situation occurred in front of my daughter and it took her being their to remain humble. I then asked for the manager to see if this policy was true since it wasn't noted on the menu and I've never heard a restaurant with rules that prevents children from eating. Instead of leaving and not spending my money there I decided to buy my wife along with my child food to reach the $10 minimum orders; but ultimately knowing I would never spend my money there again. However I am extremely curious if all locations practice that method. *****If you have kids save yourself a potential argument for your kids sake. Clearly not kid friendly read more

Had vendors take us over to this place for lunch, it's not my first time here I've picked food up from here before but never ate in the restaurant. I thought the take out was bad but the service, décor and the overall everything about this place is the pits. We had a larger party and instead of helping us accommodate everyone a coworker and I had to push some tables together, but that's not where the hits stop. The waitress took her time to acknowledge our table, slow to bring drinks, drops the drinks before she makes it back upstairs. She comes back upstairs to take all of our drink orders again. Food mediocre, Refills? Forget about it you aren't getting any you would think that after all of these great experiences I'd want to come back again and again. Well no, that would be a non-starter. I'm going to avoid this one like the plague. read more

Visited the Cigar Bar section on two occasions and I am certain you could get better service at a death camp. Terrible attitudes!!!

Great wings and bar food! The drink selection was ok but its a cool place to catch a game.

Best place in Marietta for wings. Cool & casual... wind down is nice here.

this location closed down million years ago. haha
