I believe their prices are reasonable for the convenience as well.

There was no time limit like other dog washing places I have been to, so this was great knowing I could take our time and work on brushing out all of her hair! When we were done with washing and conditioning, the lady at the counter helped me with the dryer. The only downside was that I found out after we left that for an extra charge, they will help you clip my pup's nails. So we missed out on that, however I'm sure my pup was fine with that. Despite that little blip, everything else was great!

I am appalled at how my dog was treated over Memorial Day weekend. I've been a customer of Pooches…read moreParadise for more than 20 years and used to think of the business and the staff as an extension to our family. I am heartbroken by the decline and know that many of my local friends have also expressed concern over it. All the staff who used to work there left soon after the new management took over a few years back. It's become so much worse recently in my opinion, especially the last couple of times I've boarded my dog. First off, you are blasted by a strong urine smell when walking in the front door, which it never had before. After that, I was told by the front desk attendant that my dog peed her bed the night before. She then brought me all of her stuff, including the soaked pee filled bed in a trash bag that reeked 1. My dog has NEVER peed on anything in the house, for the 10 years I've had her, no matter how long I've left her. NEVER, not even after 12 hours! 2. It definitely smelled like more than one accident the night before. I asked the front desk attendant what happened with her the rest of the time and was told curtly that she guessed it was fine since she had no other notes on her. She also said that she only handled the front desk and never offered to get anyone to talk to me about it, even after I said that she had never peed on anything in the house, ever. I regret not asking her to get anyone else, but wanted to get myself and my dog out of there ASAP as the smell was only getting worse. Finally, she brought out my 11 year old pitbull-boxer mix who looked really unhappy. She just seemed like a different dog the rest of the evening and through the next couple of days. Not the normal, so exhausted she only wants to sleep, but more like she was not happy. I noticed when I unpacked her belongings that they didn't follow all of the instructions by what was sent back home. She didn't get her lunches most days or her bedtime snack every day I was gone. The longer I've been away from the situation, the more frustrated I've become wondering what happened to my poor girl while I was out of town. I will NEVER be bringing my dog back to Pooches Paradise! I also know quite a few neighborhood friends who have also stopped using Pooches Paradise in the last couple of years. Sadly not the place it used to be.

I'm posting this because the salon was not honest with me about what happened…read more At my dog's recent appointment, her coat was cut down to one inch in length, which is not appropriate for a long‑haired, double‑coated Great Pyrenees. She did need a sanitary trim, but there was absolutely no reason to cut her short all over her body. When I reached out to ask what happened, I was told this length was "based on a previous visit." This is false -- she has been groomed regularly for seven years and has never had her coat cut short. At drop‑off, my husband clearly stated that he did not want her cut too short because of her double coat. He did not request, approve, or suggest a one‑inch shave, and the cut she received does not match anything he pointed to on their chart. Despite that, she was shaved to one of the shortest lengths on their chart, and the salon later implied this was his choice. It was not. Our veterinarian has now advised us to limit her sun exposure due to how short her coat was cut. This has never been necessary before. When I reached out privately, the salon provided information that was not true. When I pointed out the discrepancy, they chose not to respond further. Because of the lack of honesty and the inappropriate cut, we will not be returning.
