Went for a late breakfast. Was seated quickly. Warmly greeted. Our waitress Dana brought us coffees right away. Gave us plenty of time to decide. My husband got the Meat lovers skillet and I got the cheese omelette. Hubby liked his. Mine was ok. Thought there wasn't enough potatoes which were missing seasoning, but they were cooked well. Overall, food was good. Another waiter stopped by intermittently to make sure the coffees were topped off. Thought that was nice. Overall, service was very good and food was good too. Our waitress Dana was great. Thought the prices were fair given the egg prices situation. Our bill was $32. We would definitely return. read more

The menu is soooo much smaller than it was. Only two pages instead of 8-10. What ruined this place for me for good is the special I ordered the other day - "beef goulash" - which I asked the waiter about. He said with brown gravy over noodles. I wasn't expecting authentic Czech or Hungarian goulash but my gods. They served maybe 5 ounces of beef pieces that had been soaked in something with tomatoes and served it over spaghetti, and not a generous size. It was the goulash of nightmares. And it cost $18 with no soup, salad, or anything else. Last time I ever go here. I should have known better when it was only two other tables of people at lunchtime. In the 90's this place was always busy. We are running out of decent diners in the area and I guess this place did well to survive so long but my gods. Don't ever offer that goulash again. Service was great though! read more

Food was ok. Miss the old menu. Sad economy is causing so many issues. Thank Theresa for chat. Will return.

Came here because the other diner that I frequent to, is under renovation for the past few weeks and I was very hesitant as this place have mostly bad reviews. Well, I wasn't wrong. Service was friendly and prompt, so that's 1 star minimum. The 2nd star is for the French onion soup, average, edible. The chopped steak wasn't good. No flavor and the meat just had a weird taste, the gravy and onions made it somewhat edible. But the mashed potatoes was horrible. How can you mess up mashed potato? Didn't taste like potatoes at all, I can't point a finger to its taste. One of the most terrible food and lunch I've ever spent money on. Although the photo makes it look so appetizing- it's the opposite of that. I'm pretty easy to please since I like comfort food that someone else made.. but this was just awful. Maybe their breakfast is better? It's hard to mess up eggs and bacon right? But, I will NOT be back. read more

Stopped here for breakfast. Greeted by a friendly waitress who was very accomadating. The atmosphere was clean and bright. We ordered our usual breakfast. I had a toasted English muffin with 2 eggs. I requested sugar free jam or jelly; they had none. My dining mate ordered eggs , toast and homefries. All basic and good. The coffee was very good and the waitress came by frequently to fill up our cups. I read other negative reviews about the food but we had no complaints with our meal and left satisfied read more

We stopped here for a quick bite after a long day of holiday shopping. We ordered burgers and wraps (typical diner fare) and the food was spot on. Portions were ample and you definitely don't leave hungry. I had leftovers for the next day. The diner is clean and the ambiance is conducive for a nice dining experience. Our server, Stanley was super nice and personable. He took care of every whim and need we had. read more

I was in this business with my daughter yesterday & son !! the service was horrible and slow. We waited a long time before anyone even asked us if we wanted a beverage. I ordered the turkey club and was very specific to the waitress that I don't like mayonnaise ! Just a pure classic Northeastern diner, from the menu to the decor to the servers. For "Yankees" like us that now live in the South and only have Waffle House where you can a massive heart-clogging plate of hash browns prepared a thousand different ways--but fuggedaboutit if ya wanna a bowl of soup and a corned beef sandwich or the wife wants a legit tuna salad sandwich--places like Three Brothers are a true delight. Is it the best food you'll ever eat? Absolutely not. Is it hip and trendy? Puh-lease. But that's not why you came, and expecting anything more or different is on you. read more

This place is amazing, everytime I've been here the food has been superb and the waitresses are so sweet, I always say definitely the workers play a huge part in the atmosphere and they seem to love their job which I appreciate. We waited 20 minutes for our food to come out! some of us asked for a different dish . when we went to pay the bill we were charged for EVERYTHING! while we were explaining what happened to the owner she started screaming and getting an attitude with us! then she told us to go someplace else!!!! this was the worse diner experience I have ever had!!! read more

Garbage!!! Was there with 20 people today after my husbands funeral. Out of 29 orders x 16 were very disappointing. The burgers were over cooked. Calimari was rubber. Waitress threw the food down never came back and the owner had an attitude. Three meals were sent back but never taken off the bill. Bill was in excess of 370.00 including Mandatory 2O% not only were Stanley and His Mother rude . They actually thought the joke was us. Well it's not . It's sub par. The outside of the restaurant is designed to look like an old diner from the 50's (don't quote me on that era reference) which makes the diner look inviting. I got the breakfast burrito which Id rate a 4/10 w/ a side of home fries 3/10. The restaurant was busy so it took the waitress a bit to get to our table to take our food order, after we put in our drink orders. The coffee was fresh, atmosphere was upbeat, and I think maybe their other items might be better than the one I ordered, I'd like to go back and give it another try with something different. read more

Straight to the point. Nacho cheese has no heavy cream so it doesn't dip or move it's just a hard cheese filament that coats soggy chips. Shrimp in a basket has great fries but there is no shrimp it's really just breading you'll be eating Phillie cheesesteak lacks much cheese and is purely unappetizing. Place looks cool, but everything there is overpriced to compensate for the recent renovations. Do not eat here I just wouldn't recommend. It's as if each booth has a vacuum to the underworld that simply sucks your soul away as you "eat". read more

*BEWARE* Me and my gf are new to the area and decided to try the diner out. I ordered the burger with curly fries and she had pulled pork Mac and cheese. The burger was flavorless, and the second I lifted the burger up I noticed the whole bottom bun was saturated in blood. I ate half the burger but had to stop or else I would have gotten sick (later on in the night I did). The pulled pork Mac and cheese was cold when we got it. You could tell the meat was definitely old and tough and the Mac and cheese tasted sour. Our waiter had two other tables and wasn't able to fill our drinks once. I get it if he was busy but this was Monday night at 7pm but he only had two tables. 50 dollars down the drain and we ended up at sonic later on in the night and for 20 bucks I was more satisfied. read more

I was visiting Danbury, and came in with my family to order some food. I got the patty melt. Cousins ordered fries, some sandwiches and a modified eggs Benedict. My patty melt was very dry and bland. It was hard to swallow, I don't know what it was, it just wasn't that good. My cousin ordered the eggs Benedict but request eggs to come over medium. It came out as a regular Benedict. We didn't complain or anything. We just had everything as is. The girl waitress was nice, but not very attentive. My water didn't get refilled until after I finished my patty melt. I would probably still come back if my cousins wanted to, but I wouldn't request to come back here. I think there's another diner down the street. read more

This place stinks. Food, service and overall experience. I give it until the end of this year if that

Disappointing to see that they've gone downhill... We've been going to 3 Brothers for years and have always had good food and service. However, this was not the case today; service was bad and so was the food. As soon as we sat down, we put in an order of Red, White, and Blue French toast (served with strawberries, bananas, and bkueberries) for our kids, so that it would come quickly and they would have time to eat, since they'reslow eaters. Shortly after that, she came back and said they were out of bananas (so we assumed it would come quickly); no -- it didn't come out until after we were nearly done with our own meals and it came out without maple syrup!! We waited, but ended up having to leave the table to ask another waitress to bring us syrup. Additionally, the French toast was dry and not as good as it usually is. Our waitress never once came over to check on us or to see if we needed anything, which forced us to have to get up and seek out assistance multiple times. We had empty waters and juice cups for a good portion of our dining experience. When our breakfast dishes finally came, the eggs in the breakfast burrito were overcooked and dry; we asked that it be made with American cheese, and they made it with cheddar; she forgot the sour cream and salsa with the breakfast burrito and, by the time she brought us some, the burrito was cold. We happened to order a side of hash browns, and that's what our kids had to eat while they waited for their food to come. Other issues today: I asked for splenda with my coffee, she gave me sweet and low; the hash browns were way overcooked and hard; we had to leave the table to go and get silverware ourselves because she never gave us any; we asked for water for the kids when their food was finally served, but she didn't bring them water until AFTER she gave us the check; one bathroom stall of 2 had no toilet paper and the hand dryer does not work. In the past, we even choose the longer drive to go here instead of other diners that are closer because we've always been happy with the food and service. Not sure what's going on here, but I doubt we will make the trip to 3 Brothers all the way from New Fairfield again if this is the new normal there. read more

The venue was cute and clean. Staff was friendly could be more attentive. Price was expensive for quality of food. The bar was weird. They have all types of alcohol (vodka rum tequila etc) but not know brands and most was flavored. Buffalo fettuccine was bland and just okay. Not what I was expecting for $16. Roast beef French dip was dry and flavorless. We did not finish or attempt to even continue eating. Expensive, mediocre, but large portions exactly describes this place. We will not be back. I was hoping for the style of 50s diner to at least even have a shake but it was a Italian restaurant with expensive and flavorless pasta. read more

We went inside they were practicing Soical distancing this is a good thing. But sadly they failed to deliver our orders correctly. I order the soup and sandwich combo. I struggled with the turkey sandwich and the French onion soup was excessively greasy. And served in a chipped bowl. The breakfast combos that were ordered were awful! The homes fried were missing bell peppers ! Yet the waitress was trying to convince us that there were peppers were in them! So we sent them back . When the home fries came back it was worse than before! They were mixed with raw peppers! We decided to walk out to the cash register and inform them that we weren't happy with the food. The clerk heard us out and decided it was ok and decided she wasn't going to charge us. So we walked out knowing that we were never going to return to Three Brothers again! read more

Dear three brothers, are you f*****g kidding me? I came out with my friends at 1:30 am to get after bar snacks. I order macaroni and cheese and a hard boiled egg thinking I would easily be spending less than $10. The bill was $15.94. For macaroni and cheese and an egg. The breakdown was $11.99 for the plate of literally just MAC and cheese, and $2.99 for a single hard boiled egg. One dollar more and I could have gotten the dish advertised with meat and fine cheeses. I talked to the owner about it, mind you this is not listed on the menu, and she's like I don't know where you go where it isn't expensive. Reality check literally every where else. I don't go to the new Milford one because of bad service and now I will go to none. DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF read more

I was passing through Danbury today for business, and stopped to see my daughter at Western Connecticut State University. We decided to get some breakfast since it was morning after all. She recommended that we go to three Brothers for some breakfast. I was completely pleased with the food, the service, and the cleanliness and bright atmosphere overall. Really nice friendly place. Perhaps one of the biggest highlights of this place is the excellent showcase of homemade desserts that they have, absolutely beautiful and amazing! I am not sure why there are so many uncertain reviews. They have the best breakfast in town. I was a college student here from 2003-2007 and went here regularly for early morning breakfasts. Sat down to breakfast with my partner at 7:50am. Gertrude was our server. As she was busy with a party of 5 and a party of two we sat for 5 minutes before she came to get our drink order. The two other servers only had 1 table each and did not offer any help to her as she clearly was busy. Nor did the owner seem to be bothered that guests in her restaurant were waiting for a long period of time for a simple order to be taken. Once it hit 8:15 and we only had drinks in front of us our order still not taken we decided to leave. It is unacceptable to let your team struggle. Also to let your pride get in the way when it impacts the guests experience. My clock starts the second I walk in. I am very understanding, however 20 minutes and the entire team let this server fail, and that server couldn't ask for help was much. Lastly upon leaving when the owner confronted me to why I was leaving and said " sweetheart " to me is patronizing, and demeaning. When someone is upset any language like that to diffuse the situation only makes it worse. A clear lesson in how to handle upset guests needs to be administered here. As well how to help each other when others are struggling or need help. read more
