This place has a really cute ambiance, lots of wooden table tops and a high quality look. I finally stopped in after walking by this coffee shop so many times. I made a quick stop for a soy chai to go in my keep cup. I ordered and waited a while, then my name was called and I eagerly grabbed my keep cup. Instead of saying "soy chai," they just said "chai", so I asked if they used soy and they said no. They asked me if I asked for soy, and I said yes, then they just grabbed the cup back without saying anything, and remade it with soy in like 30 seconds, then just set it back on the counter without a word, just with a head nod. In my ten plus years of customer service, I never would have done that to a customer. Anyway, I took my chai and it was tasty. There were chunks of cinnamon at the bottom, which was not ideal, but the drink was good. The chai was a bit spicier than most I've had, but still on the sweet side.
While waiting for my drink, I had a look around at the people eating in. The menu looked good and less expensive than most surrounding places, but you get what you pay for here, and by that I mean a $14 avo toast is literally two slices of supermarket white bread with a side of butter and a side of avo. I probably wouldn't eat here, because if I'm going to spend money eating out, I like to make it count.
I probably wouldn't go back here on purpose, but if a friend wanted to go I wouldn't say no. All in all, I had a below average experience, which is sad because this place looks really cute and fun. read more
