Tucked away in San Souci this restaurant is off my usual radar for places for fine dining, and it was amazingly good. The staff here are all excellent at their jobs. Polite and attentive. The food here is exceptional. I had the half roasted duck with turnip, carrot and roasted chestnuts. It came absolutely smothered in a honey like glaze which made it incredibly rich. Friends had the Osso Bucco, the roasted lamb and the pasta carbonara. All were bursting with flavour. My favourite part was the Zucchini flowers stuffed with goats cheese in tempura. I also liked that you could order fried lamb's brains as an entree. Mmmm Brains. Make sure to get the garlic bread and the warm olives to start. Red wine selection is fairly substantial. The lasagne was nice although not outstanding there just wasn't enough meat for me and I got sick of it half way through. My friend ordered the parmy which she thoroughly enjoyed. The Shakshuka Baked Eggs had a slight spiciness to it but was lovely and the runny eggs in the sauce was great. The bread soaked up all the sauces. The Huevos Rancheros Baked Eggs were not so successful. It was a bit too oily with the mince and the pork belly in it. It was a bit unbalanced as also had avocado in it so fatty in taste. I handled that. When we arrived, i sat down at the table with my mother father and sister. I have been sick lately and as the restaurant is SO SMALL and they crowd way too many people in the restaurant it was so crowded and consequently hot, i fainted an began to feel nauseous (chronic illness) So we tole the owner that we were sort but we had to leave. Then it started "No, how dare you leave" she remarked "You will not leave how rude are you" and we were shocked we actually laughed at her. She demanded we stayed as it was rude that we left and she said she didn't care abut us. She then said never to come back. She said that we are so disrespectful. I later had to be admitted to hospital. I do not recommend eating here ever. I went back a month later to get takeaway and the food taste dlike horse poo. Awful and all canned and processed stuff.
