A respectable, local pub to have a casual meal before a night out, a relaxed Sunday Breakfast (from the menu), or have a couple of beers and catch a game of football. The pub features a pool table section, function area, ATM and bottle shop. Having experienced some rude service in the past here, it's great to see the new bar manager interacting with the customers a bit more.
The bistro offers a standard but well executed pub menu including spaghetti Bolognese, bangers and mash, chicken parmigiana, seafood, steaks and burgers; with a few nice surprises thrown in. The roast pumpkin salad with grilled Haloumi, cherry tomatoes & pine nuts ($12) is definitely worth trying. I also like the pork cutlets served with mash & steamed veggies, topped with a spicy Asian orange sauce ($18).
