I was really keen to Morgan's response because of her experience with dream catcher hair extensions and her attention to detail. She asked me questions to get a better understanding of my hair and that made me feel taken care of. Within time she assured me she could help me. I have had my hair extensions installed, adjusted, color matched, cut and styled. I come to my hair appointments more consistently than I do dr. appointments (that's got to say something right ?) She works with my work schedule to accommodate my appointment times. She has delivered every single time and at an affordable rate! Every time I reveal to someone that I have hair extensions they are SHOCKED. They think my hair is all natural. Let me tell you , that is the best compliment ever LOL!! She only does hair extensions (she does do a trim to blend extensions) and not color or other services. She does several types of extensions so she will fit you with the best extensions for your needs. She put me in dreamcatchers and several months in they are a dream. Silvana is not in a fancy high end salon atmosphere but it is clean and comfortable. She has a partner she works with to get your extensions in and moved quickly and easily. I find her service and prices to be spot on. Good extensions are not cheap but they can last for a year if taken care of properly. I am very happy to call myself a client!

I showed Melanie an old picture of MYSELF, not someone from Pinterest or Google, MYSELF. It has been a month since I emailed Gabrielle's regarding a refund and radio silence. I NEVER received a response - my email was completely ignored - which seems to be a pattern with Gabrielle's customer service. The picture I showed Melanie was a picture of me with shoulder length hair. I went into the salon with 95% dry hair because every knowledgeable hair stylist knows you can't cut curly hair wet, but Melanie decided to wet it before cutting it. I was hesitant, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I had gotten my hair cut by multiple stylists at this salon over the past six and a half years. When she was done, my hair was the length I requested, so I paid (and tipped) and left. When I got home and my hair had dried, that is when I noticed that she had cut so much hair off that my hair was CHIN length. She had cut my hair into a French bob. In my experience, I usually give my curls about a week to settle after a hair cut. Even after a week, my curls had in fact not settled and I am stuck with a haircut that I HATE. I NEVER expected that I would have an experience with this salon since I had been a customer since 2016. I have recommended this place to another person who has also been a paying customer at Gabrielle's. I put a lot of trust and faith in Gabrielle's and Melanie Amos and was let down 100%. A month later, and I still had not heard back and still HATED my haircut. If you are looking for a salon with knowledgeable and professional stylists and employees, I would keep searching and steer clear from Gabrielle's.

We actually met when she was training in Los Angeles at Nine Zero One and we became friends and stayed in touch! I now literally travel over an HOUR in traffic.... from LA to her salon near Thousand Oaks..... just so she can color, cut and install my extensions. I had two consultations before my appointment and clearly explained that I wanted to keep my brown hair while adding two money pieces and subtle highlights. I even brought photos to show the exact color I was hoping for, and I was reassured that this look was achievable. However, I left the salon with brassy orange hair and an uneven haircut, which was the complete opposite of what I requested. I had spent a long time growing my hair, so having it cut unevenly and over-processed was incredibly frustrating. The service itself was also uncomfortable. During the bleaching process, the application felt very rough and my hair was pulled quite aggressively at the bowl, which was painful and concerning. After the blow dry, I was told I should come back in six weeks to fix the color, which was surprising considering the color was clearly not what had been discussed. It also felt strange to be asked to pay before the blow dry was finished, especially when the damage was already apparent. To their credit, when I returned, the senior educator and her assistant were much kinder and did try to correct the situation. I appreciate their effort, but unfortunately the final result still wasn't close to what I had originally asked for. I have had my hair lightened and colored at other salons before and have never experienced this level of discomfort or damage. Sadly, my hair now feels very compromised and the color is still not what I wanted. Because of this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning or recommending this salon.
