It started ok but the next day was a mess. Communication wasn't good . I was told that they could take care of the concrete issues by Bryce but they couldn't. The job was done it rained before they could finish but they decided to do another job the next day before they came back and finished mine. I was issued a discount that helped a little. Next time guess I better take a few more estimates before I choose who to hire. That's it. read more

I have only one thing to say about Thrasher and the John/Justin Team that came out and completed the project, and that is "WOW" was I impressed from beginning to finish. The google rating was a 5 star without much thought as they deserved much more than 5 stars. Here is how I rated them personally before choosing my ratings. They received a single STAR for showing up to the job site. They received another STAR for being on time and confirming the appointment. They received a STAR for reviewing the project before beginning to ensure complete communication. They then received another STAR for the level of expertise they demonstrated and the trade skills they possess and utilized on the job. Then finally John and Justin earned the final STAR from their teamwork and how they completed the job as a team including clean up and final communication with me and making sure I was completely satisfied. If there were more STARS to give out, they would receive one for allowing me to watch and ask questions during the entire process and they would receive another STAR for being courteous to me during the installation. I was like a little kid asking every question in the book...lol, and for that, they would get another STAR. John and Justin also allowed me to take pictures and video which I am sharing with you on this review, so look at some of the before, during and after pictures I have uploaded. How did I choose Thrasher you may ask? Well, I considered mud jacking and poly jacking and interviewed about 4 companies and settled for the top 2 volume companies. I signed an agreement with a different company, and I felt like I wanted to wait and talk to concrete replacement companies and the sales representative was very upset and wanted me to keep moving forward to the installation date, but I did not like the pressure and then I told them NO and to respect my decision. Thrasher Foundation & Repair was more than patient and courteous with their sales staff presentation and follow up, as well as the support staff too, so that is what made my final decision to choose Thrasher Foundation & Repair. I am a google reviewer "level 6" and I make sure that I inform the google readers in detail what they can expect and receive from the place of business that I either visited or contracted with using their services. Before I begin. I just want to say that all we ever wanted was the work to be done the way Thrasher said it would be done in the beginning. We never asked for special treatment or favors. We just wanted it to be done right and to the level they promised us. Below I summarized our issues with Thrasher. If you want to read more about our issues they are also below. In simple terms, do not hire this company. This part of our remodel cost well over $60,000 and has delayed our project for over a year. Our house is a ranch of about 2000 sq feet. With a crawl space under most of the house and a basement under part of it. We had both supplemental beams and peering done. Now they are saying our house is probably 'warped'. I am a general contractor and this is the first time I have heard that term used when describing an entire house. I could be wrong but why wasn't this mentioned in the beginning? I cannot believe how bad our experience has been with Thrasher.  -Over promised and way under delivered. Parts of our house still have up to 3/4 of an inch drop in the floors. -Major lack of communication with us and within their own company. -Installation did not follow what they show in documentation on their own website. -Left workspace filthy and did not prep the space for the work. -Installed a supplemental beam right next to a cut floor beam and did not bring the cut floor joist to our attention. That section of the floor dropped almost an inch. -Raised our house off the crawlspace foundation and did not fill the gap. -Still waiting on documentation  Over promised and way under delivered- they promised our floors would be level. I have a text that states that from them. They are not level. People who came out to do any work sometimes didn't even know why they were here or what they were doing. One night the entire team left to go to another job leaving one guy here to finish up. Which he did not finish. Management is good at telling you that you will be satisfied no matter what, then you have to keep contacting them. They are also good at telling you they will be right on the issue. They are more reactive than proactive. One manager told me that our project was going to hurt his bonus.  Parts of our house have up to 3/4 of an inch drop in the floors- In our living room in one corner there is a 3/4" drop in the floor that runs about three feet out in each direction. It is right where a pier was placed. I was told that I would have numbers stating how much lift they got at that pier. That was over a month ago and still no numbers. This is when they mentioned the house might be warped. Installed a beam right next to a cut floor beam and did not bring the cut floor joist to our attention. That section of the floor dropped almost an inch. I would not have even seen this if I had not crawled under there myself. I think about the people who are not able or don't want to crawl under their house. This would have been left like this and Thrasher would tell you that your house is warped. We have had at least 20 different people from Thrasher in our crawl space and not one of them mentioned a cut floor beam. There was a gap in the floor joist of almost two feet. So not a little cut. This two feet gap was right next to one of their beams.  They raised our house off our foundation in some places over an inch. We contacted them to get the gaps filled. We told them our house was freezing all along the exterior walls. They said they would get right on it. That was over a month ago. We finally had to pay someone else to do it. They were just going to leave the house this way. It would still be this way if I had not crawled under there and seen it. It would have been open to moisture, rodents, bugs and snakes. You think a company as big as Thrasher would have a product to fill these gaps but they only use canned spray foam. Which is not a permanent solution. When we first got the bid we considered installing a new basement under our house. I feel in hindsight that would have been a better choice. That is why I contacted them before we started to make sure our floors would be level after they were done. Their response, "yes your floors will be level". They also said we could start installing sheet rock a month after they were done. This also turned out not to be accurate. One supplemental  beam fell over and again I would not have noticed if I didn't go under the house. In all fairness they have done some work that we did not have to pay for. In order to make up for their mistakes but we have issues with that work not being done right. So there is that. I also had complete faith in Thrasher in the beginning. I even recommended them to clients, but not anymore. read more

Our warranty repairs were unacceptable. First time service in 2023 was good, however warranty work was needed summer of 2024. The repairs were not acceptable and a 3" variance was created at our front porch area. Two phone calls to Thrasher and 3 days later, still no return phone call. read more

Chris came by evening of 3/14/25 to assess outside concrete lifts and seal cracks then provided quote for home property. He said someone would contact us to set date/time for service. Received email Sunday 3/16/25 stating a crew would arrive the next day Monday 3/17/25 to complete job. We waited until all day but no crew. Finally notified this was scheduling error. Crew of 2 arrived late morning 3/24/25. Several holes drilled in stamped/stained concrete to lift height to front porch and driveway. Crew created almost full width crack on stamped/stained concrete sidewalk in front of house, didn't lift the sidewalk to meet driveway, didn't lift apron of driveway to meet garage, put numerous holes in stamped/stained concrete sidewalk and missed cracks on walkout patio. We notified Chris on 03/30/25 of disappointment and requested he come by. Upon arrival he immediately expressed concern with the work. I saved a large piece of the foam used on our project as it didn't feel the same as what Chris showed/advertised on 03/14/25. As suspected, Chris confirmed the foam consistency used was wrong but told us not to worry because they guarantee it for 5 years. How did they not use the right foam? Chris told us during our consultation that Thrasher sets the standard for foam products but left out IF the crew uses the correct consistency (Ugh!) A crew of 1 returned 4/16/25 to repair the areas of concern. Today our once beautiful stamped/stained concrete sidewalk to the front door has thirty 1-inch quarter sized gray spots and a ugly gray crack 30-36" with 1-inch wide filler holding it together. The sidewalk is a rose color, so the gray filler is awful. Ultimate disappointment is neither Chris nor anyone else from the company called or stopped by to check our satisfaction with their final product after incurring so many issues. I have photos to prove my words. If you have a project, research companies, ask lots of questions, get quotes and talk through your project carefully before securing a company to do the work. Read their fine print carefully. Coincidentally, several years ago we used a small company from Emporia KS to lift the same front sidewalk. It took 1 visit to complete the project and all holes were filled using a stain that matched the color of sidewalk. Their work held several years through the numerous droughts we experienced. That owner retired. If you look very closely you may be able to see those old holes but I assure you'll have no problem finding the awful new gray ones. read more

The salesman they sent to my house talked a good game, and they came in with the lowest bid, and I regret choosing them tho waterproof my basement. I was told I would need to move any items in the basement back 5-6' from the walls they would be waterproofing, and that they would hang temporary walls of plastic sheeting so as to contain the concrete dust as they dug up and removed the foundation where they would be installing the drain. They did not hang any plastic sheeting and every square inch of my basement is covered in fine-particulate concrete dust. They also failed to re-install the cover to my sump pump. They completed the waterproofing months ago, and last week I was still cleaning up efflorescence from along the new concrete they placed over the drain - a clear indication that water is still seeping in on the floors (they talk about this on their website.) I regret choosing this company to waterproof my basement and am glad that I did not agree to additional services they recommended to me. we called for an estimate to raise a short sidewalk. after the estimator looked over everything gave an up front estimate so we scheduled the work and paid for it then. originally scheduled for April but they called and set up another date earlier in fact the crew finished up yesterday they arrived on time was polite and friendly explained everything as they did it and best of all they lifted the sidewalk and front porch. now the house looks happy and the wife is happy Thanks guys you will be recommended to all that ask me read more

Their service-rep-to-customer communication needs to be fixed... Our foundation was bowing, so we got a bid to put bracers in and decided to have them go ahead which was fine. Everything went smoothly. Our bill was paid promptly, and we had no complaints about the work or the upkeep instructions they left. That was a year ago. The problem comes with their communication and the billing department. We had our annual inspection done about a month ago. The rep who came out took all the necessary measurements, sat down to explain them, and then shook my hand and left with no mention of payment. When we had the bracers installed, my husband and I were led to believe the annual inspections were included in the sum we had already paid. (I believe "complementary" was the term used) That is until we started getting phone calls from them saying that our payment was past due. That our bill would be sent to collections. That it was supposed to be paid on the inspection date even though we had no idea we were supposed to pay them anything. Yeah... great customer service right there. The harassment over a $150 "complementary" inspection is enough to make me tell everyone never to use the company. read more
