For the estimate, Brandon (owner) came out personally to walk me through the process, pricing, warranty, and timeline. He struck a great balance--warm and approachable, yet professional and knowledgeable. Cost-wise, all of my bids were within $300 of each other, so price wasn't a major deciding factor. The companies I spoke with offered almost identical processes and warranties, so my decision ultimately came down to communication and overall confidence. Brandon and his team made the best first impression, and trusting that gut feeling definitely paid off. As for the installation itself--the process was smooth and well organized. The team dropped off a storage pod (included in the price) on Friday, giving us the weekend to clear out the garage. They returned Monday and completed the first phase in about five hours, which included surface prep (diamond grinding), crack repair, base coat application, and decorative flake broadcast. They allowed the floor to cure overnight, then came back Tuesday to scrape and clean the excess flake before applying the topcoat. They provided clear post-install instructions, no foot traffic for 24 hours and no vehicles for 72 hours, as well as after care information. From start to finish, communication was excellent. The team was friendly, professional, and responsive to questions. Overall, they made the entire experience easy and left me feeling confident that we made a good investment.

We were drawn to this company because they offered faster dry time and ability to stay in the basement while they worked. We should have done much more research. It has only been 2 1/2 years and the floors have non-removable stains, and plenty of scratches/dings. While the finish on our old floor stood up for a much longer period of time, I was totally disappointed with the continued poor performance of this floor work. And, please keep this in mind, upon leaving, SVB gave us an entire BONA kit for care of wood floors. About 8 months ago I called SVB and requested that they come out and give me some reason for the floor performance being so poor. They prodded around and said that the stains were not able to be lifted. AND THEY ARE VERY NOTICABLE. The representative asked what I used to clean the wood floors. I told him I was using the BONA products that had been left when the floor was completed. The representative said, that this product use would void my guarantee or any warranty. So now, 2 1/2 years down the road I have an expensive refinished floor that looks just about as bad as the old one. I do not recommend this dealer for floor finishing. They may have groovy equipment, but their process and support are sorely lacking.

Carlos was one of only two salesmen who came prepared to check the moisture content of a damaged area on our floor. That right there tells me a lot. Their quote was very detailed, and I think they were the only company that told us the brand of stain and finish they would use. Their pricing was also very competitive with the other four or five companies we got quotes from. We were very impressed with their dust control system, as there was almost zero dust left for us to clean afterwards. There was a very minor hiccup that resulted in them coming back out to spot-fix a few areas, but they responded quickly, and the floors look beautiful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone interested in refinishing your wood floors.

Purchased brushed granite countertops from Alex at Sash Granite & Stone. I experienced poor…read morecommunication and poor installation. He provided an estimate based on measurements I provided and I authorized him to cut the countertops. I received a call approximately a week later to schedule installation. It was not until AFTER installation did he mention the additional $1200 difference in his measurement and the initial estimate. You would think that a difference of $1200 would be worth mentioning prior to cutting and installation scheduling. Regarding Installation - The quality of the countertop seams was terrible, they weren't level and were very visible. When you ran your hand across the seams you could feel a height difference between the 2 pieces of granite. Alex came out to inspect and stated that there was basically nothing that he could do to fix the issues (that his installers caused) on brushed granite. A reputable company would have offered to replace a poor quality product they installed. Lastly, I noticed that water was not beading up on the countertop. Which lead me to suspect that they had not sealed the countertop. Sure enough I purchased some granite sealer and applied it..... now water droplets bead up. Would definitely not use or recommend Sash Granite and Stone.
