Broken branch

This company was working in my neighborhood and damaged my tree. We had video of it happening. The back end of the trailer caught my tree branch and broke is. This was not a small branch. The driver stopped as he knew what he did and simply drove off and parked on the other side of the road to complete whatever service he has in the area. When my wife came out and noticed the tree damage they said nothing. After reviewing video from neighbors and my own system, I called the business. Their Office Coordinator, Sulet Lopez, insisted that she needed as clear of a video as possible sent. I sent a very clear video. On October 7th she stated that she would have Brad Peters from upper management contact me. After not hearing anything for 3 days I emailed and indicated that I had to have the branch removed since it was a large branch and hanging in the street. Still no response and no call from Brad. On October 16th I emailed again and requested a call or at least a response...nothing. On October 18th I once again asked for the response or call and this time I indicated I would not be reaching out again and simply leaving a review and posting the video on social media to warn people about this experience. I received a call from Austin Hall the next day. I missed it and called back. He seemed lost on what to do or say in this situation. I asked him if anything needed to be done to the tree to ensure that it would not have any additional issues and he said he does not know and did not think so. I then stated that I will receive a small charge for my landscaper removing the tree branch and disposing of it and asked if he would be willing to take care of this "small charge". He simply said no. He indicated that his driver never left the road..... At this time I was taken back and decided this was no longer worth discussing as this person and company obviously did not care that they damaged my property. A simple small gesture of acknowledging the mistake and handling what had to be a small $50 or less bill would have at least showed they cared about what happened, but instead he simply said no. He stated that the truck never ran off of the road, but did not bother taking responsibility for the height of the trailer catching this branch or that his company did in fact damage my property. Just because the truck never left the road does not mean that the driver was not responsible for his surroundings and damage he caused. Accidents happen and I would have been more than reasonable with this situation. Moral of the tale - If they will not take responsibility for something this small when I am not even a client, what will they not take responsibility for when doing a service for a client?

Old hedge and planters.

Next to Nature transformed my yard into a wonderful outdoor living space. So happy with the changes they made and the work. I do my projects in small increments, sometimes it's hard to schedule. But once they are there it's a hundred percent ! Call now for the best outdoor kitchen, landscaping ever. Quality is the name of the game!

After spraying.

Hunter drew up the plans based on our specs on his iPad. We were able to select the materials, colors and the full plan. There was also an agreement drawn up that protected both us and his company. This was a great way to build trust and peace of mind that the project would be completed on time. We also needed a gate added to our chain link fence on one side of the House. I wanted a double gate, and I wanted to use some of the materials that I already had from a previous project. Hunter drew up the plans for the gate, and the price was much less than we expected. We were very impressed that we wouldn't have to wait until next year for these projects to be completed, as most contractors were booked out that far. We are extremely satisfied with the way everything turned out. We use our deck every day, and our dog loves sitting in bed and looking out the sliding door to see what's going on. Now we can just let her out the door instead of walking across the length of the house to let her out to do her business. Both Hunter and his crew were extremely professional. They always cleaned up after themselves every day they were here. The work was done with care and attention to detail. The deck is sturdy, attractive and we've gotten many compliments from friends and neighbors! I will definitely continue to work with Boyt Home Improvement for future projects - and I'll recommend them to anyone needing projects completed around the house.

We came into contact with them when we needed someone to do extensive tuckpointing and repair work on two old stone walls leading into a basement garage on our 70-year-old house, but we were having trouble finding a company that was interested in just repair and tuckpointing. We eventually called a high-end concrete and masonry contractor that specializes in large and elaborate masonry projects and asked them for a recommendation and they provided Masonry Craftsman's contact info. I called Pete, Masonry Craftsman's owner, and he offered to stop by and take a look as soon as we could be available. When Pete first came to the door, I mentioned in passing that we had at one time wanted to replace the front brick entrance stairs that he was standing on but had found it would be prohibitively expensive. The stairs had been a bad DIY project by a previous owner that resulted in two super-steep steps that were a chore for most people to climb. I told him that we had spoken with several contractors in the past and they all said we needed to tear them completely out and replace them with poured concrete for a huge amount of money which we couldn't justify spending on the house. Pete took a look and quickly proposed a plan to insert two additional brick steps into the stairway, and also mentioned that he could tint the mortar and use some extra brick we had of the same type so it would all look original to the house. He quoted us a price that we felt was reasonable for the work involved in order to repair both the walls and to redesign the front steps . Long story short, Pete and his assistant Dave were able to start immediately and finished the job a day faster than promised, and it all looks terrific. The stairs were particularly great considering that we thought we would never be able to afford to do anything to fix them. The idea Pete came up with is not only very functional and allows people to enter and exit the house without climbing gear, but it really matches the character of the house. Our walls also look very nice as well and Pete and Dave cleaned everything up thoroughly before they left. We usually cringe at the thought of having anyone work on our house because it often results in disappointment, but this is one of the few times that we have had our expectations exceeded, and both Pete and Dave were very pleasant to work with (they even fixed a small cracked area in our neighbor's sidewalk for free with some leftover mortar). We will definitely call them again for any masonry-related jobs.
