I needed assistance with drainage around my house and deck. The guys were friendly, professional, and quick. They came out and gave me a quote and explanation of ways to rid my yard of standing water. Their explanation and suggestions were the best of three companies I met with. The price was very competitive and the work was top notch. I wouldn't hesitate to have them back for any additional jobs. read more

The first week of May, I talked with Matt Nelson about fresh mulch and landscaping cleaning for our property. He said he and his crew would be out the following week. Since that time, Matt has not returned my phones calls or text. The lack of customer service is terrible. I would not recommend dealing with this company. read more

We hired Tuff Turf after interviewing and getting a few bids from others on a paver patio and some landscaping. Bryan provided the best design vision and provided drawings for us to see his plan along with a competitive bid. They started the job on a timely basis and finished the job as quickly as weather allowed. Neighbors and family are all very impressed with the work. Care was given not to impact the surrounding area as much as possible but the scope of project made that nearly impossible. They put down sod and seeded areas that needed work after the project was complete. I will post some pictures once the surrounding areas fill in as I'm sure they will. Would certainly use them or recommend them to anyone interested in a landscaping or hardscaping project. read more

Had Matt and his crew out this week to take down a few trees, stump grind, remove shrubs (from overgrowth), remove gravel from flower beds (yes, country road gravel-see pictures), mulch and build a retaining wall! Matt went above and beyond on this project from the day we met for a quote to job completion. We purchased a home that was previously rented for a few years and we have had our share of contractors, plumbers, etc to the house. By far, my husband and I agree that Matt was the easiest person to talk to and work with! During our project we had a few requests. He always put the customer first and made the process so simple and mindless for us- what you want after all when paying for a service. Also, we were able to visit a site to look at our wall color options. It was a super simple process and enjoyed seeing all the stones in a real wall setting. I would highly recommend this crew. After contacting multiple companies of which only one gave me a quote. I finally called Tuff Turf. Matt was super responsive and the price was unbeatable. I wanted all existing bushes removed in front and all the pre-formed stones removed and replaced with natural rock. All new greenery, a downspout buried and some dry creek beds installed where water would flow. Matt gave me a quote and started 2 weeks later. His crew was amazing and hard working! 3 days later I had a transformed yard. I didn't get a "before" picture but got one of the start of the project. read more

I'm not one to write reviews until now. I found what I call a Diamond Company, you know those companies that shine with professionalism. Tuff Turf is one of those companies. My backyard was an undesirable space due to a steep gradient. In addition to being an eyesore it was an unusable space. My wife tried to use a small section as a raised vegetable garden bed but it was too cumbersome to navigate and use. When it rains all the water from neighboring lots comes my way and spills into a culvert behind my yard. I met with multiple landscaping companies to find a solution to the problem along with their bids. After meeting Matt with Tuff Turf and discussing the issue, I selected Tuff Turf to do the work. One of the best decisions I have made. The plan was to build a retaining wall and level it so I can gain usable backyard space. In addition, we built a second retaining wall terraced so my wife could have a vegetable garden. My HOA informed me to get city approval. I learned most of my backyard is considered an outer stream buffer zone. I was deflated after learning this news. Matt assured me he would get it approved. I was not billed any additional cost for his time gaining city approval. The weather didn't allow his initial plan on getting materials down the hill. Instead, his crew manually hauled the block down the hill. This process had to triple the estimated man hours for this project. Once again, no monetary increase from the initial estimate. His crew was meticulous constructing this wall it looks like a work of art. It is rare to find a results driven company these days as most are volume driven. I am elated with the results of the project. The amount of backyard space I gained has me smiling, however the smile on my wife's face is priceless. She now has her space for a vegetable garden, and it is 4 times the size she had prior to the project. Hands down the most responsive and customer oriented company I've hired. Matt is a very responsive, personable owner who you can tell is very invested in making sure he exceeds customer expectations. He essentially re-designed and re-landscaped our entire yard at a super-competitive price. Matt is absolutely wonderful, and has the vision for elegant landscaping, so you are happy with the results! I also found Matt to be very helpful in deciding what types of plants and trees to purchase, that not only look amazing, but are sure to have success growing.
