We started on the wood-area of the park, walking toward the creek and water falls at the Glen itself. The round trip of the hike was just a sliver more than 2 miles but it was an easy hike, with just two sections of up/down hill-climbing. Very beautiful and picturesque, with an amazing tunnel under the Amtrak tracks. Very much recommended for a short, morning hike if you don't mind the drive out.

This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

The red is the hardest but I love how you can start with blue got to red and it takes you back to entrance. Lot of squirrels and chipmunks. Saw some cool mushrooms. Trails are pretty clear for the most part. Makes me sad that they have an overdose kit at the entrance though. I'm not sure why it's there. I hardly see cars parked there and it's never busy like corbets glenn.

There are beautiful hiking trails and gorgeous, expansive landings where you can peruse the disc golf course, walk some stairs, and relax. This park is wonderful in all seasons! Made a stop by Tryon Park this weekend with my puppy and partner! I live quite close by and had…read morenever been, so we decided to drop by without really knowing what the park was like or what the layout was. This should really just be called Tryon Trails as there really isn't a park area at all. We only made it up the first little hill after the parking lot and a few feet in before turning around. The trail system looks incredibly confusing - this would not be the spot for a quick walk or drop by. Our dog had no problem navigating the trail we momentarily traversed, but it was insanely wet, marshy, and slippery. I would try again when things are dry, but with so many other great hiking and greenery options nearby, I don't know that I'll feel the need. Overall, and okay park if you are looking for a long haul hike. Looking for green space? This isn't the spot for you.
