This is a really lovely park... plenty of open space for playing games on the grass, getting some…read moresun, and also a pavilion or two for larger groups that want some cover & picnic tables. in the lower area, there's a very short little pathway by the water... there were kids playing and exploring the water, and someone else was fly fishing. On the upper portion of the park is the actual walking trail, which is a really well worn out path and very easy to walk (though I wouldn't consider it accessible to those in wheelchairs, etc). There isn't really anything to *see* at the end... it just kind of ends... but then you turn around and walk back. Honestly, my dog was more than happy to explore the entirety either way. :) I do have to remove one star because their bathroom facilities aren't great. At the time of my visit, the women's restroom was completely clogged - and the men's room was basically a single stall. :-/ TL;DR Really enjoyable park and I'll definitely be back in the future.

Webster park is one of 4 area parks that is regularly groomed for skate skiing and traditional…read moretrack nordic skiing. There are miles of trails and once the trails have been groomed, skied and packed in, the snow sticks around a while. Plus their location to the east of Rochester and right on the lake means they often get several inches of new snow when other parks might only get a dusting. My husband and I are avid cross-country skiers and we have skied all over the park, including areas that are not groomed. The park is beautiful, quiet, with ample parking, and when the temps are good, it is about the best you can get. There are trails that are more easy/flat, trails that wind through woods, trails with up and down hills, trails in the pine forest, trails across the open fields - lots of options for every level of skier!! There are also many parking lots where you can access the trails, and for those who like other winter activities, like ice fishing and sledding, there are lots of places to enjoy. I love this park, especially in winter!

The park was designed by premier landscape architect Fredric Law Olmsted back in the early part of the last century. The festival itself had plenty of parking, food vendors and music at the main stage. This park would certainly be stunning all year round. I can't wait to see it agin in another season.

Sporting fields nearby are usually populated by soccer teams, softball players or folks playing frisbee catch with their pooch. On the canalside, you can catch families out for a stroll, plein air artists or couples walking hand in hand. It's a picture perfect location with a distinct view of the canal.

The trails would be very buggy in the spring and summer and I'd recommend bug spray for sure. I loved the different trails and how they went through different types of forest land. The pond was very nice and relaxing and a lot of care went into the overall design of this place. There is a large number of benches and places to rest and enjoy the serenity of nature. Nice visit, I'd come again if I was in the area!

Does not have its own dedicated parking lot. Is heavily used you will find people walking their dogs in the nice weather riding their bikes kids scootering, in the winter we had people cross country skiing and snowshoeing as well as walking. It's great during any season they have some nice historical markers towards the center that tell more about the area. One of my favorite places for a quick little walk.

There was a bathroom as part of the pavilion, it is on the outside of the building, and it is open to the public. Which was nice having a bathroom so close. The bathrooms were spotless. I did get a bit of a surprise when I tried to hang my purse and found a pair of female panties hung there instead. Haha! I jumped, acting like they were going to jump out and grab me. So, yah, that happened. Probably someone changing into their bathing suit left it. You can see the water from the pavilion, or walk out to it. The landscaping was beautifully done, parts were immaculate, and some parts weee sanded for having fun, park like setting to play frisbee, horse shoes, Bocce ball. Etc.... You do not have to rent a pavilion, you can just go, and use the grounds. We paid 9.00 to get in. I think that's a per car fee. We don't live in the county, so Idk if that fee is for residence of the county or just non residents. Maybe something to check on before you go. They had grills there, a little fence around part of the pavilion, with picnic tables. Everything was set up very nicely. I have no idea how the pavilion rentals work, or how much they cost. But it was a beautiful spot. Trees, pathways, water, what more could you ask for. It seems quite large, and others were there as well enjoying the day like us. It is a joyful place, and everyone just enjoyed themselves, and respected each other. Very joyful, peaceful family place.

I went to the park today to look for "sea" glass. Admission is $9 per car unless you're military,…read morethen it's free. I parked in area 3 and began my hunt. There was one family there with kids playing in the sand and water. I did find a little bit of glass. Stopped on my way out to use the restroom and it was pretty disgusting. I guess no one had cleaned it yet from the weekend. I'm talking poop on toilet seats, in the sinks, etc. kind of disgusting. I then drove to area 5 and began my search here. There were 2 families here playing in the sand and water. Again, I found a little bit of glass and a few interesting pieces of rocks. If you're wanting to look for sea glass, make sure you look at the tidal charts first. Looking at low tide is optimal. Also, make sure you take a trash bag to haul your trash out with you. There are no trash cans, and there will likely be some litter on the beach.
