Helen was still so welcoming even after we 4 strangers popped in without an appointment. To top it off, we were all new to the process of pottery painting. Helen was so patient and helpful that it made all the difference in the world. And don't get me started on the value....it is so inexpensive! There is no way that she is running this place with any profit. It's clearly a labor of love for her! We had a fantastic experience and were grateful that Helen was so accommodating. The studio fee was $18 per person (includes all the paint and supplies you need) plus the cost of the pottery item you choose. My wife chose a Small Nesting Tray ($23) and my niece chose a Rectangular Pen Cup ($18). After 10.25% sales tax, the visit cost $81.20 total. You have to come back at least a week later to pick up your finished pieces. We sat outside on the back patio. This is a humble studio. The complimentary water ran out so I walked to a nearby cafe to get some. There was also complimentary Kirkland Signature green tea. The restroom, located outside, is tiny. Nice staff. You pay an additional 10 dollars to get it in the kiln to pick up a week later. The paintbrushes are mostly abused or past their prime so it's difficult to do any detail painting. That was most frustrating for us. We had a good time. Expect to be there between 90 minutes plus with an 8 year old. Then you clean up at the back sink which piled up with palettes and bowls in a mess. The public has difficulty with that- the sign should be bigger! The great staff and sitting and talking with the kid made the experience very nice.

If you are looking for a cozy, cool norcal wheel-throwing spot, this is the place! Lin is the absolute best mentor and ceramic artist. They offer a lot of fun options, and for our party we chose pottery and slime, which was a huge hit. The full 3 hours went incredibly smoothly. We had a private room for the kids to do their activities, enjoy pizza, and have cake, and everything felt easy and well organized from start to finish. The staff was wonderful and made the whole experience feel seamless. We will definitely be back with our kids.
