I don't feel compelled to write a review too often - only when I'm super upset or super thrilled with an experience...and this one is the latter, thank goodness =P We recently got into an auto collision (a golf cart rammed full speed into our minivan's fender); and while my immediate reaction was to bring it to our Kia dealership's service center, my wife's friend raved about an experience she had at Tho's Auto Collission. I was hesitant to go outside the reservation, so to speak (an authorized dealer); and I have a stigma with auto shops in the Bolsa area (cheap, but you get what you pay for; horrible service, etc.)...but because I give tremendous weight to referrals and this reliable friend in particular, I gave them a call. Loan was my point of contact - from beginning to end - and she was sooo pleasant to work with. She asked questions to ensure she could help; she explained the process of ordering parts; and she liaised with our insurance company for the entire time, so that I wouldn't have to play messenger in any communications. She even reserved my rental car reserved and ready for pick-up; and I didn't have to return it at the rental car center - I just dropped it off at the auto shop and she took care of the logistics. I loved this experience, and I'm glad I didn't give in to my assumptions (I guess I owe my friend a "I told ya so" gift or something). Loan was awesome; took full accountability and responsibility for my experience; she returned the car fully detailed, like I got a new car for the first time again; and I've been telling others about this encounter nonstop. My car got hit in the parking lot while I was at work & I decided with the other party that it would be best to pay out of pocket to avoid insurance charges. Tho's Auto Collision was the 3rd or 4th quote I received, but the best by far. I spoke to a woman named Loan who was on top of all of the paper work and was even available by text message throughout the whole process. I also let her know that I needed a rental and she took care of it. Dealing with car damages can be a stressful experience & Loan made the process run smoothly. All paperwork was emailed to both parties in a timely manner & we never had to worry about whether or not something was signed or taken care of. Payment was handled through her as well so I didn't have to worry much about contacting the other party outside of the shop. It took them about 3 days to repair the damage to my left bumper. It had to be taken off and have paint matched to fix it up. Seriously, no issues and it looked good as new once picked up! The rental also served its purpose for the time being. Shopped around and found their prices were the best but after service their quality and service was outstanding. Been to Tho's auto 3x times over the years and the service and quality has been top notch. It's started with a small paint job on my BMW and they matched the metallic silver paint 100% looked great! I then ran over something that scratched a huge portion below my Sienna and the fixed it and matched the paint 100% and it was the glittery pearl white that was hard to find. Both times they buffed out some scuffed areas for free making my cars looking nicer. My last visit was a damaged right mirror on my Tundra. Insurance originally quoted for basic model but I had to convince them it was a higher model, not basic. Tho got the correct serial # but Toyota sent the mid level model, that wasn't correct. Tony figured it out and had to call Toyota to send their correct model. It took an extra week but they took care of me. Loan noted because I had to come back they reduced my portion of the insurance, which would have been $500 but they charged me less and I'm grateful for that. I highly recommend their friendly and honest work! Edited: I forgot to mention I had blacked out the chrome mirror with a glossy black plastic cover. When they replaced the chrome mirror, Tony painted it with glossy black for free to keep my black out look. I'm telling you they take care of their customers!!!! read more

It's hard to find a good and honest Auto Body Shop. I have had bad experiences in my past dealing with different auto body shops, and I have had a great first impression with Tho's Auto Collision. My 2015 BMW 535i GT got side swiped while I was at dinner last night and the careless driver did not leave a note (I hope karma gets that person back!). I came across Tho's Auto Collision through yelp and decided to give them a try. I called first and spoke to Loan. She told me I could email her some pictures and she could give me a quote over the phone or come in. I decided to come in. As you approach the location, there are a lot of different auto shops and parking can be hard. They are located on a corner. Loan was super sweet and very helpful. She said she would try to see if they could buff out the scratches. It would take about 10 minutes and we can see from there how much work may need to be done. 10 minutes later, I saw the car and the car looked a lot better. You can barely see the damages. The scratches were gone but just a minor bump was visible . I have attached the "after" picture and you can't even tell it was side swiped. I wish I took a "before" picture but I didn't. She didn't charge me for buffing out my scratches. I am happy for the fact that she was very honest and didnt take advantage of a minor fender bender. Although I was expecting it to cost a few hundred dollars, I happy I didn't have to pay anything. I have another car that needs some work done to the bumper and I will be coming back. Found this place like everyone else... via yelp... Immediately I contacted the business through yelp's messaging system, and with in minutes I received a reply back. Right away once receiving the message I knew I found a diamond in the rough. There was no hidden agenda to get me in, and their quoted price was more than fair. What I really appreciated were the "if scenarios." For example, "if" my paint color is a pearl white rather than a flat white, then the price is higher (not that much higher, but I appreciate them telling me this)... They didn't just give me a "low ball" offer to get me in. They kept me informed about the status of my vehicle constantly via emails or calls. There was no BS-ing with this place. My accident actually happened a year ago, but I didn't have a cool Yelp account at the time to leave a review. Anyway, as a poor struggling college student who got hit by a serious fender bender, Loan and her family really helped me out. They were very kind, responded to emails and phone calls quickly and very reasonably priced. Better than lots of places! They can even negotiate a payment plan with you if you cannot afford the cost right there and then. They fixed my car better than ever and even introduced me to a nice brake light inspection shop a mile or so away. They're great people and are willing to do free estimates. Of course, they're also bilingual, so I try to recommend family, friends, and co-workers to come here without worrying about the language barrier. I just realized I don't have a review for this place. My bad. This is THE spot. I was brought here originally by a friend who customized cars, show winning cars. I've had my 2003.5 G35 repaired & repainted by them 3 times over the past 10 years. The paint jobs are flawless, the customer service is on point and they beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. They won't go behind your back and repair an item on a brand new car, they will find the proper parts and replace them. The color matching is perfect, the clear coat they add is so solid, that my car left in the mountains for a year uncovered just needed a quick wash to be restored to its usual beauty. I haven't gone anywhere since. Other body shops (ones that work with dealerships and insurance recommended) will cut corners, where Tho's will go out of there way to find the same part - I had a rare bumper for my G35 and they worked with my insurance to repair the bumper rather than replace it with a generic stock bumper.
