My previous go-to mechanic tripped me with a quote of $575 for the valve gasket cover replacement (I assumed they meant the entire thing, not the rubber seal). So I went to this place due to reasonable prices. Their labor prices are also more competitive. The only downsize is that they don't do appointment. Otherwise; so far so good.

I don't feel bad blood or any sketchy feelings toward anybody at the shop. I just feel it's dumb luck and just plain bad luck on my part for having such a faulty truck. Everybody at the shop has done an amazing job helping me out. Will at the front counter is an amazing person who goes above and beyond to do whatever he can to make the pricing work for you.. Trey is an amazing technician who knows exactly what he's doing and sends detailed videos and reporting of everything he inspects. Unfortunately my truck started leaking and it was a faulty water pump. The same water pump I replaced 4 years ago at the exact location here at autolink. Again, I don't feel any sketchy feelings. I don't feel any kind of way. I just feel frustrated that the same water pump would go out after 4 years. I feel like something like that just doesn't happen. Even with that, I'm in a position in my life where I can't and don't have the resources to do anything further with this vehicle. About 2 weeks ago, maybe three. I replaced the complete brake system in my vehicle and it cost me about $2,000. Today I got the estimate for the water pump repair and it was $1,500. This is on the higher end of any shop repair. Again? I feel it's worth it because of the work they do, but to be honest, I feel something more should have been done to either prevent the water pump from breaking down again or getting some kind of warranty for that water pump that just happened to break down once again after 4 years. In the back of my mind, I can't stop thinking about the fact that something like this just doesn't happen that often. Water pumps don't break down that often. Anyway, that aside again, I hold no bad feelings toward this shot because I highly recommend them to everybody. They are on the higher end of the pricing ever since they started getting more clientele and more business. That is something that is to be expected I guess. Even with that, they were able to bring down the price significantly, and I appreciated it ever so much. At the same time I had to explain that at this time in my life I I can't and will not continue to repair this truck. I picked up the truck from the shop, drove it home and it's going to be sitting in my driveway for a few months until I figure out what I'm going to do with it. I have to save money to fix it because I do want to keep it and pass it down to my kid because after $15,000 worth of repairs I think it's pretty much brand new and should hold up for my son for a few years. Thank you everybody at the shop, Jay, will, Trey all the mechanics that I haven't met. They are detailed and explain what needs to be done with great reporting and paperwork. I will not be going back for a while. I'm going to save up some money. Get a new car and when the time comes I'm going to fix the truck and pass it down to my kid when he's old enough to drive. But I am seriously done with this truck. It has been nothing but a money pit. Again, I hold no bad blood, no hard feelings toward anybody at the shop. I just feel some kind of way about the same part breaking down 4 years later and me having to fix it at the exact same place with no kind of warranty.

I was unfortunately late by 30 minutes, so I waited for two people (I think they both had alignments too?). However I was out by 90 minutes from start to finish. I think they spent about 30 minutes or less on my car which is pretty fast from my experience. They didn't scratch the rims (19 inch staggered wheels like rear 255/35R19) They used torque wrenches. Tires are well balanced using hunter road force balancer and I didn't notice any wobbling or roaring. I'll be back and on time for my other cars :)

After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days. I truly appreciate Ed's honesty, professionalism, and follow-through. He did exactly what he said he would do and then some. I had to get my Porsche repaired after having front bumper, headlight, driver side fender, windshield and AC damaged. Through my insurance, State Farm, I tried taking my car to Caliber Collision, Crash Champion formerly Fountain Valley Bodywork's, and two other higher end body shops. Sterling and another one I forget. None of them would touch my car, let alone give me an estimate, even though they were approved authorized Porsche repair shops. Until I took my car to Hai Tech Collision. That is where the manager Kevin took care of me and my car from the start. I didn't have high hopes, with everyone always saying parts are on back order and what not. Figured my car will be at the shop for minimum of a month or so. To my surprise, Kevin had my car fixed, went out of his way and brought to Porsche dealer for a thorough inspection, and detailed within 2.5 weeks. I'm sure it would've been done sooner if he had not been on vacation. Yes, that's correct, Kevin was communicating with me on the progress of my vehicle even while he was on vacation!!! If that's not top notch customer service, then I don't know what is. So my neighbor decided to reverse and hit my new car that was simply parked on the side. I brought it to two different mechanic spot to get an estimate, one was where he suggested, the other was here at Hai Tech collision. I decided to go with Hai Tech. They began by giving me an estimated amount for cost, as well as 5 days to complete the job. So I said okay. So 5 days went by and I still haven't heard anything, therefore I decided to call, they informed me that they have not finished the car yet, it is still apart. They informed me to give them another 3 days. Sure why not. 3 days past and I was still without the car, I called again and they said oh it's almost done and they would have to paint it. The painter had a family emergency. So give them another 2 days. I was like okay, I guess.. it's now been 2 1/2 weeks, for what was suppose to be 5 days, ended up being 17 days. I stated, please just paint it and give it back, I'll wash the car myself etc. basically they did a great job for body works/paint, however the amount of time it took for me to even get the vehicle back was harsh. I was left with uncertainty and minimal communications unless I called. Overall this is what it is. read more

We chose this collision repair from a list of affiliate State Farm Insurance providers because they had the best Yelp review. We now know why. Hai Tech is an experience, not just a body shop. "Vince" the owner and his daughter are incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly. Unlike other body shops, this is a clean, honest, well-managed operation. Our vehicle sustained $3,000 in damage after coming into contact with metal debris that had fallen off the back of a truck on I5. We weren't even aware of most of the damage that had occurred on the underside of the car. Vince was careful to perform a full inspection so that our insurance would cover all repairs. Our VW GTI was repaired ready for pick up on the exact day that they said it would be ready. The repairs were all perfectly and professionally completed. We received a 3 page itemized bill listing all (original VW) parts and labor. I highly recommend Hai Tech to anyone who wants prompt, professional and courteous service. This is a 1st class business. My insurance agent advised me to have my car towed to this shop as they have a great rating with them. Once I got there, I was taken care of immediately. When I got hit, State Farm gave me several names of their preferred repair shops and after reading the reviews, I settled on Hai Tech and I do NOT regret it at all. They made everything so easy for me. They even repaired my rear bumper which had nothing to do with the accident for the cost of the bumper only. Kevin who handles State Farm claims was great. Just when I needed it the most. I felt so devastated after the accident knowing I won't have the money to get me a new car. I asked around for a reasonable bodyshop and was introduced to HaiTech. I would give 7 stars to this body shop because of Kevin, he was really helpful and did a good job repairing my car. My 2016 M-Benz was dropped off at the shop after an accident looking pretty bad and Kevin helped me from A to Z, from answering all of my questions, dealing with the insurance, and fixing the car with details. I never felt uncomfortable asking questions and the even assisted me when I struggled with insurance - as a young women in OC this is a rarity. But the stand out was that the repair was above and beyond the expected. For a neighborhood shop they service their community extremely well and are efficient in Vietnamese and English. Usually when you look for a mechanic, you want one that will turn you away more than they reel you in, and that is exactly how Andy runs their shop. He knows I have an aging car so we often discuss what is worth and not worth fixing at this point in time. On the rare occasion that he does have to repair my car beyond a routine oil change, he would go out of his way to inspect other areas as a courtesy (complimentary) that other shops would charge diagnostics for. It's a shame that there are some old complaints in these reviews because this shop has been a pillar of the community. Opened around the time I was born actually, so to claim that they are "out to get people" is disingenuous, it is clear that being open for 3 decades and counting means they are in it for the long haul - their reputation is all they have. I'm sure if there were some misunderstandings, speaking with them instead of running to Yelp would solve every issue. I'm just glad I got a mechanic I can rely on which is hard to come by nowadays!
