Love this place, specifically this one. Gas is always lower than everyone's and service is great here

The gas here is a little bit less than the guys across the street plus they have a lot more to offer in their store. They staff are friendly here and they service is pretty quick. I'm a rewards member at Thornton's and the location in Palm Harbor on US 19 North & Tampa Rd., is great! I have been going to this gas station for years and many of their employees are still working there. They have blue paper towels near the gas pumps which I like to use to cover the gas pump so I don't have to touch it while I'm pumping my gas. The staff is friendly and Chris is one of the hardest workers there, he works behind the counter and I even see him outside picking up trash around the gas pumps and taking out the trash, etc. The bathroom is always clean and fully stocked. I don't buy drinks or food, however I see a lot customers buying it and this gas station is usually pretty busy. Thornton's is not just a gas station, it's a convenient store with hot/cold food, coffee etc., Overall, very clean, organized, friendly service, very well lit outside and inside which makes me feel safe, surveillance cameras everywhere as well, great price on gas if your a Rewards member. I like that the employees wear face masks and are complying with the Covid 19 safety guidelines. The representitives inside are pretty awesome, very friendly and they have almost every soda known to god at their soda bar in the back. This use to be my favorite gas station. Their rewards program was amazing, then all good things came to an end. You still get the 10 cents of gas for first month. Then 3 cents after that. They will send you flash rewards for 6 cents after that. It is a good deal so that is what the two stars are for. Their specials in the store can be so confusing and if they can over charge you they will. The staff no longer helps you find the correct specials and now give you the blank stare ( you know the look). I have decided that the store is no longer worth the hassle. FYI. The old reward program counted your number of visits and issued milestone bonuses. I have over 300 visits, mostly inside the store. read more

This is a gas station a place you buy gas. The best thing about it is the loyalty card where if you use it you can get anywhere from 3 to 20 cents off per gallon. They also have hot food and right now $0.79 fountain drinks. The inside is clean and tidy with a large buffet style thing in the middle. So far the staff is super nice. I will definitely continue to buy gas here. read more

All I can say is that I will never return to this gas station again due to the horrible distinct smell coming from the inside of their convenience store. I went inside to buy a bottle of water and I felt like throwing up because of the smell. It smelled worse than a hospital cafeteria. I really do not understand how anybody can buy hot foods from this place. I'm not sure if it's just my sense of smell but I do not recommend anyone to step inside this establishment. read more

Stopped in for a fill up and used my cents off. Always love getting a deal. easy in and out. Nicely lit outdoor area. Clean. Staff was changing out the garbage bags near the pumps. Manager is horrible and just plain mean. I even gave her a chance to apologize. I am reporting my treatment to corporate. And if you're reading this, to have "the best customer service experience in the world " as you claim, you have to apply it to inconveniences, not just being polite when things are going your way. read more

I have been coming here for years. Seems like the diesel pumps are getting slower and slower, which makes filling large tanks a pain. They need to check the fluid where they store the window squeegee cleaning tools as they are either empty or people pour all sorts of stuff in there (this last time was diesel fuel). In addition, replace the window squeegees as they are all falling apart. read more
