I've been wanting to try Canes for some while and with friends in from out of town, this was our chance. We're still in the world of Covid, so we socially distanced when we placed our orders: A raspberry tea, a frappe and an italian soda, 2 bacon, cheese and steak pies and a cuban sandwich. We took a seat outside and waited for the order to come. The drinks, all made to order, took a few moments to come out, but they were deliciously refreshing. The food, because it's baked to order, came out about 20 minutes later. The cuban sandwich was good, one of the top cuban's I've had in a long time. The steak pie? I felt like I was back in Scotland (although these are Aussie style). They were DELICIOUS. My friend and I were over the moon with these fresh baked delacies. They were so good, that I decided to bring home some for the family for dinner. We even ordered Sausage rolls for breakfast the next day. Totally not unhappy with anything we got, including the PRIDE rainbow socks from their General store portion. The service was awesome, friendly and warm. The place is small and cozy. Menus are on the wall, & easy to read. Prices are reasonable. You can create your own lattes or order one from the board. It's a good place for breakfast or lunch. We had lunch. We received personal, attentive, friendly service from Vinny. This was my first time here. My friend had been here before and enjoyed her latte and meat pie when she was here before. That's why we visited today. Since she enjoyed these two items before, she ordered both again. I had the pressed Cuban which was delicious. I had to take half home because it was so big and filling. If you want the meat pies, call ahead if you want them ready when you arrive, or wait 20 minutes for them to be prepared fresh. We didn't mind waiting 20 minutes. Both her meat pie and my Cuban were delivered to our table hot and tasty. We are looking forward to our next visit! read more

It's tucked in a tiny strip of stores on Alt 19 in Palm Harbor but no problem for GPS. Stopped in on Presidents Day for a snack and caffeine. Also to see what my husband would think of an Aussie pie. I think I had one years ago in Sydney but definitely had forgotten what they taste like. Christy, one of the owners I think, was very welcoming & helpful in explaining all the delicious pie and roll (ie the sausage roll) options. There is vegetarian ones as well. We tried the traditional meat pie (the square one in our photos) filled with a flavorful gravy and nice quality beef. It was really good & the pie crust is wonderful. Also tried the sausage roll (think ground breakfast sausage in more of a phyllo-y crust). Good breakfast option. But my husband declared the pie the winner for him. Very clean place with lots of cute puns/clever sayings hanging around the "store" along with some fun art. Oh and the donuts looked amazing too. I've come here often in the past and loved it, not anymore. It has a new owner. During the transition and train up, I did not see the new owners here. The day before the transition was done, I saw the new owner and he was a fish out of water, I could do brain surgery better then he could make a latte! In the past the morning was staffed with 3 lovely people. My first visit they had 2 people working and it took a while to get my coffee. Today, one person was working! She was working hard butt no way could she keep up. I ordered a brewed coffee and bagel with cream cheese. The brewed coffee is now self service and it was empty. Plus they were a bit light on the cream cheese for my bagel. It seems like they increased their prices. They had NO decaf coffee at all, no donuts, no mixed berries. In addition they scaled back a lot on their food menu. I would recommend they set up some bleachers and sell popcorn. This will allow more people an opportunity to watch this train crash! read more

Friendly place with all kinds of coffee drinks. I like it when employees take an interest in your order, and just don't punch the cash register. This is a place that cares. I don't get the "corner store" part of the name. My daughter noticed socks for sale, so I guess that qualifies. Frozen coffee drinks tasted fine. I'll opt for a less sugary drink next time. This place has completely ruined starbucks for me lol. I work about 10seconds down the road, so stoping here for a quick coffee and bagel in the morning is super convent. The coffee is always outstanding and the donuts are AMAZING (red velvet) being my favorite. The staff knows their customers by name and makes you feel so welcomed as soon as you open that door. So, I want to start off by saying that I am not a picky eater and I absolutely love trying new dishes and cuisines and when I found out that this place serves Australian pastries...I had to give them a try. They are conveniently located close to the therapy clinic that I take my girls to and their shop is small, welcoming, and clean. The owner (owner's wife?) greeted me with her pleasant accent, made me feel welcome, and recommended to me her husband's favorite stormy bagel. So, naturally, I had to try it. She also told me about their signature pastries and to call ahead so they are hot and fresh. Anyway, back to the bagel - it was amazing! It was hot and fresh and tasty and delicious (lol). It had the right amount of salty and savory with just a little bit of sweetness. The salty and savory wasn't overwhelming and, overall, it was just a nice, simple breakfast that filled me up. I'm a Seattle girl who was such a Starbucks fan that the Starbucks cafe in their corporate office that I stopped at in the morning had my order ready when I arrived and the Pioneer Square delivered my Lattes several times a day. This is a cute little coffee shop not far from Palm Harbor High. I came here because a friend of mine that works at Palm Harbor had a gift card for the spot and suggested it as a halfway meeting point since we don't live close to each other. It's definitely a tiny little place and is in a plaza so parking is limited. Although it's definitely cute little place I would love to come back to as when I am in North County I always love to go around Palm Harbor or Tarpon Springs. The staff were very nice and friendly and had a nice smile on their face. The only complaint I could give is that I was on a diet and they didn't have a ton of low carb options lol but they did at least give me a banana hahaha. They do have smoothies do which I would like to try someday. I got a cold brew coffee with sugar-free caramel and oat milk and it was really delicious. My friend got a bagel and cream cheese and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was not jealous of the carbs and dairy she was consuming haha. They definitely have an interesting Variety in their menu and I would love to try one of their Aussie pies one day. Came here for the first time with some friends--they market heavily towards the high school audience, with PHUHS so nearby (partnering with school clubs, active social media advertisement on instagram, etc.) so we decided to give it a try. The vibe is pretty relaxed, business seems slow, but they're new and have a good start going. They keep the door propped open and music playing in the background. Great atmosphere! We had a coupon for a free cookie, and they gave us one each! Really goes to show how they care about the customers--not like corporate chain stores. We ordered two frappes, which are priced fairly for what they are, not sure how they're flavored, but they feel unique. Cotton candy flavor was great--no complaints. The owner asked us our names, got to know us, and was generally pretty chatty with the students here--even though I suppose that's part of the marketing, it was a nice touch. First of all, Cane's has reopened under new management. Was glad to see many of the old offerings were still available. Tho, I do miss the Australian delights - sans Vegemite. Wife had a tasty lavender cold brew which was unchanged. The high school sweethearts smoothie I had, on the other hand, was no match to the past. I found it to be watered down lacking banana. And, the strawberry was virtually non-existent. The sesame bagel w/cream cheese was delicious. It had a more airy, less chewy texture which was a pleasant surprise. This is by far one of the coziest and friendliest cafe's you'll find - anywhere! You're always greeted with a smile when you walk in and everything on the menu is fresh, delicious and made with love. The owners are the cutest couple and are living the American dream - running their own successful business!! I will go back for the hospitality every damn time (and the coffee being as amazing as it is just blows the other coffee shops out of the water). The baristas (all of them) and owner are so friendly and SO sweet, greet you the second you walk in, are knowledgeable and kind when answering questions, and have genuine conversations with you. The new owner of Canes Cafe obviously has no experience or skills running a coffee shop. They have been open since June yet have no supplies at all. I couldn't even get a lid for my coffee. They took way too long to make our food and by the time we got it it was cold, but the food wouldn't have been good even if it was hot. We paid 30 dollars for sour cream cheese, a poorly made panini, and some of the worst coffee we've ever had. My dad said he could fart a better coffee. Jokes aside, don't waste your money. One of the owners came in with more supply's and after seeing him I was no longer confused on why our service was so terrible. First time going there yesterday and i was blown away with how wonderful my time was there! Coffee was out of this world, it was a tasty caramel fall latte. For lunch, I had a ham & cheese panini and it was so flavorful and yummy. More than that, the atmosphere was so comfortable with the nicest lady working. I expected this to be good from reviews but I am blown away. The pies were all so good; the cafe buys them from a traditional Aussie bakery started in Sydney and now in ATL, GA. They take 20 mins to heat so call ahead if you're in a rush! We tried 4 of them and our fav was the Steak and Cheese. The drinks were delicious- way better than my beloved starbucks/dunks. We sat outside with our dog and they brought out a bowl of water for him. It's the little things. Can't wait to stop in again soon. read more

the new owners have taken this place down. same name, not service. the people who waited on me did not speak much English so they did not understand HOT latte coffee and gave to me iced. the smoothie ingredients are not listed and when asked, was not given all ingredients, so I ended up paying extra for coconut milk and way way way too much sugar I was not expecting and yogurt. overpriced, poor service, and poor quality,, sad but I wont go back, and I work close by and use to frequent this place for yrs before new owners. save your money and go elsewhere read more

Love this place! Discovered in while on walks, and it's a great local spot. I've had both their hot and cold lattes, and both have been really good. Lots of different milk options (cow, pat, almond). I havent eaten there yet but all the bakery items look great. Staff is friendly and courteous, and you always get a sticker when you order a hot drink! read more
