Traditional Aussie Pie (meat & gravy) & a Sausage Roll. Yum
    Bridget B.

Want to try a super tasty, flaky crust savory Aussie pie to pair with a huge selection of lattes, smoothies and frappes? Then look no further. Cute locally owned coffee and other yummy items shop. It's tucked in a tiny strip of stores on Alt 19 in Palm Harbor but no problem for GPS. Stopped in on Presidents Day for a snack and caffeine. Also to see what my husband would think of an Aussie pie. I think I had one years ago in Sydney but definitely had forgotten what they taste like. Christy, one of the owners I think, was very welcoming & helpful in explaining all the delicious pie and roll (ie the sausage roll) options. There is vegetarian ones as well. We tried the traditional meat pie (the square one in our photos) filled with a flavorful gravy and nice quality beef. It was really good & the pie crust is wonderful. Also tried the sausage roll (think ground breakfast sausage in more of a phyllo-y crust). Good breakfast option. But my husband declared the pie the winner for him. Very clean place with lots of cute puns/clever sayings hanging around the "store" along with some fun art. Oh and the donuts looked amazing too. Worth stopping in and supporting a cool local business. Cheers to their success.

I know I'm fat but I still want some cream cheese on my bagel!

I've come here often in the past and loved it, not anymore. It has a new owner. During the transition and train up, I did not see the new owners here. The day before the transition was done, I saw the new owner and he was a fish out of water, I could do brain surgery better then he could make a latte! In the past the morning was staffed with 3 lovely people. My first visit they had 2 people working and it took a while to get my coffee. Today, one person was working! She was working hard butt no way could she keep up. I ordered a brewed coffee and bagel with cream cheese. The brewed coffee is now self service and it was empty. Plus they were a bit light on the cream cheese for my bagel. It seems like they increased their prices. They had NO decaf coffee at all, no donuts, no mixed berries. In addition they scaled back a lot on their food menu. I would recommend they set up some bleachers and sell popcorn. This will allow more people an opportunity to watch this train crash!

This place has completely ruined starbucks for me lol. I work about 10seconds down the road, so stoping here for a quick coffee and bagel in the morning is super convent. The coffee is always outstanding and the donuts are AMAZING (red velvet) being my favorite. The staff knows their customers by name and makes you feel so welcomed as soon as you open that door. I will be a weekly customer here.

Bubble waffle for Fourth of July - Delicious!

Bubble Waffles are on menu! You can add ice cream. Can't wait to see what else! Try this place out.

    STORMY everything bagel

So, I want to start off by saying that I am not a picky eater and I absolutely love trying new dishes and cuisines and when I found out that this place serves Australian pastries...I had to give them a try. They are conveniently located close to the therapy clinic that I take my girls to and their shop is small, welcoming, and clean. The owner (owner's wife?) greeted me with her pleasant accent, made me feel welcome, and recommended to me her husband's favorite stormy bagel. So, naturally, I had to try it. She also told me about their signature pastries and to call ahead so they are hot and fresh. Anyway, back to the bagel - it was amazing! It was hot and fresh and tasty and delicious (lol). It had the right amount of salty and savory with just a little bit of sweetness. The salty and savory wasn't overwhelming and, overall, it was just a nice, simple breakfast that filled me up. I would definitely recommend it and I will be indulging in it more often. (By the way, I'm going back for those meat pies! Yum!) Thank you so much for y'alls amazing customer service! You got yourself a regular!

My favorite coffee shop in Palm Harbor! I'm a Seattle girl who was such a Starbucks fan that the Starbucks cafe in their corporate office that I stopped at in the morning had my order ready when I arrived and the Pioneer Square delivered my Lattes several times a day. I couldn't find a coffee shop in this area that was more than just okay until I found Canes. The coffee is incredible! On top of the great coffee selection is the fabulous service! They are so friendly and personable! They'll make you feel welcome and with the great service and incredible coffee you'll be as hooked as I am!

This is a cute little coffee shop not far from Palm Harbor High. I came here because a friend of mine that works at Palm Harbor had a gift card for the spot and suggested it as a halfway meeting point since we don't live close to each other. It's definitely a tiny little place and is in a plaza so parking is limited. Although it's definitely cute little place I would love to come back to as when I am in North County I always love to go around Palm Harbor or Tarpon Springs. The staff were very nice and friendly and had a nice smile on their face. The only complaint I could give is that I was on a diet and they didn't have a ton of low carb options lol but they did at least give me a banana hahaha. They do have smoothies do which I would like to try someday. I got a cold brew coffee with sugar-free caramel and oat milk and it was really delicious. My friend got a bagel and cream cheese and I'd be lying if I didn't say I was not jealous of the carbs and dairy she was consuming haha. They definitely have an interesting Variety in their menu and I would love to try one of their Aussie pies one day. It's a cute little place to stop by when you are an alternate 19 in Palm Harbor area and I would actually like to go back again.

Shameless marketing towards the preteen-teen audience demographic.
    Kyle N.

Came here for the first time with some friends--they market heavily towards the high school audience, with PHUHS so nearby (partnering with school clubs, active social media advertisement on instagram, etc.) so we decided to give it a try. The vibe is pretty relaxed, business seems slow, but they're new and have a good start going. They keep the door propped open and music playing in the background. Great atmosphere! We had a coupon for a free cookie, and they gave us one each! Really goes to show how they care about the customers--not like corporate chain stores. We ordered two frappes, which are priced fairly for what they are, not sure how they're flavored, but they feel unique. Cotton candy flavor was great--no complaints. The owner asked us our names, got to know us, and was generally pretty chatty with the students here--even though I suppose that's part of the marketing, it was a nice touch. In sum, a great stop if you're nearby and in the mood for a little treat or a place to chat with friends. Highly recommend!

I have been a regular here for almost two years and I knew that there had been falling outs with previous employees. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and continue coming because I enjoyed the people there and I am a supporter of small/local businesses. (Its not like the product or prices are good) However, after what I witnessed take place this past week has undoubtedly confirmed my suspicions. The owners take advantage of their employees and treat them horribly. The previous owners were just as bad which is why these new ones have taken over. It is painfully clear that they do not care about their employees or their business. You will see in previous reviews from over a year ago that "big changes are coming!". Nothing has changed about this place except for the employees because no reasonable adult would stay and work at such a toxic place that hardly gets any business due to the gross negligence. They have resorted to hiring the managers sister with a nasty attitude. These are the type of people who lack the ability to take any accountability for their actions or shortcomings. Everything is everyone elses fault. The owner is a boomer who supposedly values hard work and good moral principles, yet can't even be bothered to show up 98% of the time. He lets his wife run everything and has zero idea whats going on. They also lack the ability to take any kind of criticism. Its easier just to fire people right?! All in all this place is ran by people with huge egos and zero qualification. To be truthful I think it's embarrassing that they can't even run a place where the product sells itself. Clearly the owners are very privileged. As long as it doesn't effect them doing the bare minimum then they don't care. Nobody wants to come here or work here anymore and honestly I can't blame them. They did a lot of great people that helped keep their business alive extremely wrong and all 4 "owners" should be embarrassed. I don't expect anything to be done about this besides a fake damage control response promising a bunch of "new exciting processes and events being implemented!!!" when in reality nothing will happen apart from gossiping about it to the 3 people that still come here. There are quite literally hundreds of kava bars in Florida that deserve your business way more than these people do.

We drove along Route 19 north to see if anything would drive our curiosity. Saigon Cafe did that for us, with its signage and location. Some may describe it as a hole in the wall type of place and I would not disagree. It's located in a nondescript strip mall, where road construction is all over the place. We took the chance and stopped in to check it out. The restaurant is clean and organized. The waiter and cook greeted us warmly. We were given menus and proceeded to review their offerings. Not much except basic Vietnamese and Korean fare. We decided on a tuna bahn mi sandwich and pho with brisket along with a shrimp and pork wrapped vegetable roll. Our expectations were minimal as we did not know what to expect. Surprise! The portions were large and the flavors were solid, not overwhelming. We were very happy.
