I also used the ATM, made coffee with peppermint syrup and whole milk, stole 7 Sweet-n-Low packets because I'm out at home, bought 2 chicken empanadas that were probably 4 hours old, got one losing scratch-off lottery ticket, and paid with Apple Cash. Had great AC Pumping. Beer Selection was about average and the restrooms were alright. Just a good solid quick stop on 60 to take a break and stretch your road legs. Parking was ample and they have plenty of gas pumps. The gas prices are average for a large chain gas station. Did have got gas station food and cold fresh fruit available for purchase. read more

As with just about any RaceTrac I've visited in different states, this one lives up to their living combination of lots of pumps, super clean stores, tons of variety of snacks and drinks, and very friendly employees. This place can be a little difficult to enter if you're heading East due to the vast amounts of traffic which never seem to subside on SR-60. If you happen to be heading West, there is a large, easy to enter lot with numerous pumps and plenty of store-front parking if you need snacks, beer, or to hit the ATM and are not getting fuel. As with any RaceTrac, the employees are very friendly, and another is always quick to jump on a register should they get a mini rush. read more

This particular RaceTrac gas station is pretty nice and has some of the friendliest employees who really take care of you and if you have any questions they will help you out besides that they offer a lot inside such as your normal stuff found at other placed(sodas,waters,energy drinks and food) The place is well organized but the only thing I did not like is that the bags of ice were out side other then that this place was one of the best gas stations I have been too. The prices here are not to bad over all definitely stop by here if you are near Tampa.Very convinient gas station located in Clearwater not to far from the beach,stop by here to get something to eat or drink. read more

I'm just going to put this here and let people come to their own conclusions, but the more I think about it, the angrier I get. Visiting from MD on business, I travel a lot so my 14 year old son came with me on my companion pass and brought his friend who is 15. We are staying at the Westin on the other side of the bridge and went to find a convenience store to get snacks for the night and for the boys tomorrow while I am at work. Probably not the closest option but Siri doesn't always cooperate. We go in the store, get a few bags of chips, drinks and I got a pack of cigarettes. The man behind the counter rung is up while a lady next to him counted out a drawer. The man bagged everything up and I put my cc in the chip reader to pay. My son and his friend grabbed the bags and went to the car. The woman says to the man, he just left before it was paid for. (Remember my card is currently processing in the chip reader). The man says, I'm more concerned that he is carrying that tobacco. So this all took me a second to process because my teenagers doesn't usually wait for me to finish, this is normal behavior for him. I said to the woman, my card is in the chip reader. She says, well what if there is a problem. I flashed my wallet open showing her my cc's and said I have back ups if there is an issue. I was legitimately confused at this point. I then said to the man it's a problem for him to carry tobacco? An unopened pack at that? He nodded and said yes, the police would arrest him (the cashier, not my son) for selling tobacco to a minor. For carrying the unopened packs of cigarettes in a bag of snacks that I paid for with my cc. The purchase of course went through without a problem but I left there feeling unsettled because the whole exchange was just absurd to me. Here is the kicker, my son and his friend are black teenagers. (Well my son is mixed). I would like to think the crazy conversation was directed at my appearance maybe because I had been traveling all day(7 hours on a plane) and I will admit I looked a little rough around the edges.... but I'm really not sure. Is this a FL thing or am I crazy? No idea, but I won't be back to this store. read more

Although i don't know much behind the history of the gas Racetrac receives I can't feel anything different in my car, like I would with a mobil or other comparable stations. Despite not going into the actual store but once in a while when I have the inside is typically clean and well stocked with items from dog bones to a billion types of beef jerky. My only issues are the physical pump stations and surrounding area's don't seem to be well maintained and the staff doesn't seem to be in any hurry to assist customers other than in line. I understand that because of the low prices and frequency of use that they must be unrelenting on the staff. This is why they received 3 stars, if they just put a little effort into the outside appearance and training and selecting their staff it would be higher. read more

gas was $2.97 here today! :) other than that, the location is on the high traffic gulf-to-bay blvd and the only reason it received 4 stars and not 5 is that most drivers will have to wait til the cows come home in order to turn into this gas station if you just so happen to be driving in the opposite direction. a plus is this is on the way to sr-60, which makes it convenient to tank up before you get to tampa. they should have more exits out of this gas station than just one, maybe they did that to prevent accidents, but it takes a lot of patience and hopefully courteous drivers to maneuver your way out of here with your level of serenity still intact, and yes it is always busy. read more
