I went inside this thornton's at exactly 8:57ish am to get a drink and get some gas before my trip to Lakeland and when this employee cashed out my sisters, he made a racial comment about "Mexicans always paying with bigger bills." and was rude to another hispanic customer after us. I didn't get his name due to him not having a name tag but he was clocked in this morning May 21, 2023, light skin male around his 50's, and bald with a beard. If you're going to make a racial comment or even a bad comment, say it under your breath or at the person's face. Mind you I'm 24 yrs old and I know better than to do that. read more

This is a new chain to the Tampa Bay Areas. Basically, just a gas station with a quickie-mart attached. What makes this one different is the selection of drinks and treats inside. There is a huge soft-drink machine with lots of flavors and add-ins, a huge coffee bar with lots of flavor options, a wall of slurpee drinks in all kinds of flavors, a soft-serve ice cream machine with multiple flavors--and much more. Double yay for cheap gas! Who does that? These guys. Besides the cheap gas I must admit that the food is decent for a gas station. Honestly, part of the reason I come here so much is that I have a little bit of what's called Pica which makes me crave ice unfortunately. Well they refer to their ice as chew nuggets and its filtered water, soft crushed ice. They sell bags of it for $2. They have good fountain drinks, cookies and believe it or not --- egg salad sandwiches. Never thought I would buy food from a gas station besides candy, but hey they are doing their thing. It's clean, well lit and the people who work here are nice. However, one time a drunk guy was getting on his bike leaving the gas station, doesn't seem like peddlers come here and ask you for money. This is a great, new, clean gas station. They have a large selection of gas station junk food too. The gas always seems to be just a bit cheaper than everywhere else. When they first opened, they had the lowest prices by 20-30 cents and were giving away foods and drinks. They still give away food and drinks sometimes and the gas is still usually the cheapest. read more

Stopped in for a fill. They offer an app that give you cents off which I had 6 cents off to use. This made my fill up cheaper than had I of gone to SAMS or Costco. Large lot and easy in and out from two directions. I did not go inside so I can't speak to that but I love how clean and open the lot is. Definitely will return. read more

The gas did start out cheap but now they are the same price as everyone else in the area. Stopped in here recently while I was showing a friend from out of town the area, very good prices on fuel $3.10. OK, what baffles me about this place is they give away all their drinks. fizzy freezes, iced coffees, and teas for nothing. My friend and I were parked outside and sat there in amazement how many people were walking in and walking out with minimum of 4-8 drinks without paying a cent!??? WTF is this about? I love Thornton's! They have cheap gas and great fountain drinks. The people working there are nice too. They have a card you can get to get a free fountain drink every few drinks and if you register it you get a month of 10¢ of per gallon. After you use the card (on gas food drinks or whatever) 25 times you get 3¢ of per gallon for the rest of the year. read more

Very clean, new gas station. They offer refills up to 64 ounces for 59 cents. The problem is they only offer a 32 ounce cup AS THE LARGEST. The gas is usually the cheapest on the street BUT....if you get off of 60 its about 10 cents a gallon cheaper. They do offer a good variety and they are very clean. read more

Best gas station chain in Florida!!! They're always clean, friendly service, pumps are always tended (pay inside service at the pump is great!) The fountains have crushed ice (great thing for ladies who like to chew ice!) ... the staff is helpful, accommodating, the fast food choices are both decadent, and healthy depending on your needs. They have frozen yogurt, fizzy freeze, soda, tea, and the best coffee next to Dunkin. Everything is clean, and tended, and best thing of all the bathrooms are ALWAYS clean!!!
