    It's not traditional dry jerky very greasy . Good flavor but not my style of jerky. Maybe the beef sticks would be better.

    I bought their Teriyaki Beef Jerky and it had NO FLAVOR. It was tough as lather with not even leather flavor.

    Good quality jerky that is on the wet side but the cuts were too thick for me. It was sort of like eating a well done steak.

The person behind the counter was patient and answered all our questions. The meat is top notch and the sausages and sundries are wonderful. We were given a few extras on recommendation given certain things we ordered. Now I have read some of the other reviews concerning the slaughter house services and have no experience with these services nor what to expect. But as a consumer of meats, and concerning the butcher services, what is offered, the friendliness of the staff, and the proximity to my new house, I don't foresee making use of the in-store meat department ever again.

I would recommend that anyone thinking about using this slaughter house to research it and compare it with reputable slaughter houses. I ended up receiving prime cuts from someone else's beef, that was only grained for maybe 1 month, my beef was grained out and marbled for 8 months and stolen from me by this place. I would not even give these thieves a 1 star recommendation. They are absolute thrieves and they provide very unprofessional services. I am contracting to deliver prime cuts to top notched Resaurants with high quality marbling, I know what the quality of my beef look like, this place is not worth doing any business with.

    I've lived in magna for going on 8 years now and have passed by Colosimo's many times…read more Each time I've briefly seen inside and thought it looked empty so I was never really interested in going ins However I'm having some people over today and wanted to get some sausages/hot dogs to make for dinner and for some reason colosimos came to mind. When I walked in, my initial impression wasn't really much different than what I originally thought, that it's kinda a half empty looking store. I found my way back to the freezers where the meat was and initially didn't think there were many options. But the guy working there (maybe the owner?) came by to give me the "grand tour". He showed me that the sausages are actually in these white boxes (pictured). I picked the garlic and mild Italian options. Which come out to about $15 for 6 sausages. Initially that felt expensive, but when you actually look at them, they are pretty big, so it's really not tooo much more than if you got something from Walmart. I told him it was my first time, and as I said that he went into the back, and came out with a package of breakfast sausages on the house. He then also gave my kid a quarter so he could get a toy from the machine up front. At the last minute, I noticed the buns they had and put it on the counter. He proceeded to give me the buns for half off for basically no reason. Never in my 31 years of life have I had an experience like this at any store. I felt the pride he had in their product and was totally taken off guard at his kindness. I have yet to actually try the food, but if they are even 1/4th as good as my experience in store, I'm sure they will be incredible. Can't wait to go back.
