They have a couple different types of hotdogs to choose from and all of them are great. But they also have choices like burritos etc. I was a fan of the chori dogo, and the regular with beans and tomato. I haven't had a chance to check out the dessert but i definitely intend to. The staff is pretty relaxed and make sure that you know the options. The storefront itself can be a little co fusing you first time in, but there is more seating around back and a couple tables to choose from. They are definitely trying to update the decor but it feels small at first but I'm hoping the layout gets better over time.

Very overpriced for the quality they deliver and service. If you're charging $10 for an esquite, it…read morebetter be a damn good esquite, the place better look decent, or have good service ffs. They seem to be charging this high just because they can, and people are stupid enough to pay it or don't know any better. The place just flat out sucks. The seating is old and run down for the margins they're likely making on their half assed products. Vietnamese restaurants in that same plaza are charging similar prices for full on meals. The price itself isn't the issue here. There just has to be something to justify it. Do yourself a favor and go to the competition. Plenty of other places in the Salt Lake valley charge similar prices and at least look decent inside and taste better.

I've lived in magna for going on 8 years now and have passed by Colosimo's many times…read more Each time I've briefly seen inside and thought it looked empty so I was never really interested in going ins However I'm having some people over today and wanted to get some sausages/hot dogs to make for dinner and for some reason colosimos came to mind. When I walked in, my initial impression wasn't really much different than what I originally thought, that it's kinda a half empty looking store. I found my way back to the freezers where the meat was and initially didn't think there were many options. But the guy working there (maybe the owner?) came by to give me the "grand tour". He showed me that the sausages are actually in these white boxes (pictured). I picked the garlic and mild Italian options. Which come out to about $15 for 6 sausages. Initially that felt expensive, but when you actually look at them, they are pretty big, so it's really not tooo much more than if you got something from Walmart. I told him it was my first time, and as I said that he went into the back, and came out with a package of breakfast sausages on the house. He then also gave my kid a quarter so he could get a toy from the machine up front. At the last minute, I noticed the buns they had and put it on the counter. He proceeded to give me the buns for half off for basically no reason. Never in my 31 years of life have I had an experience like this at any store. I felt the pride he had in their product and was totally taken off guard at his kindness. I have yet to actually try the food, but if they are even 1/4th as good as my experience in store, I'm sure they will be incredible. Can't wait to go back.

I review places with my OAT method: O= Overall experience - This run down, 100+ year old market is very nostalgic to me. Yes, it could be re-modeled and cleaned up. But the beauty about it is the wear and tear this place has. Located in Magna, there isn't much out there but this spot is a must for holiday meals or dinners. Plus, the owners always give great recommendations for new products to try and they will give me a sample to make sure I like it too! A= Appearance - The meat and cheeses are like non-other in Salt Lake City. T= Taste - My favorite go-tos, when available, are the maple breakfast links, hot Italian bulk/ skinless, Kasseri cheese, and pepperoni. I love juiciness of the meat and creaminess of the cheeses.
