I was concerned I might accidentally run over a duck when I left. Very cute regardless, especially hearing the pitter patter of duck feet hustling across the pavement. Additionally, I was treated to a couple of roosters singing their customary morning greeting. Sorry, no pictures of the roosters or ducks, I was still waking up and I was concerned when the ducks fearlessly approached my vehicle. Perhaps, next time?

We got our boat a day early n I called to see if we could come a day early and was told in a very rude manner "No we are busy, I said we had no where to put the boat and was told I don't care I said No , come Tuesday as we said. We found a place to leave the boat over night and we brought it Tuesday at 330 making sure the women was home from a doctor appointment and when I got there I called their number as I stood outside their door listening to them talking and they wouldn't answer the phone so I called up hello we're here with the boat and Paul Redding came out with Glory yelling behind him to get out and get out now , I said we had an appointment for the boat slip and I had their money and contract and they both were yelling at me to leave , they said I will not tell them what to do and they were not ready for us to come so get out and take your boat somewhere else ? So their we stood with a boat and no where to put it because these very unprofessional rude people who told me to come after 230 on Tuesday and they had many empty boat slips and we were there to rent for the entire year with cash , I don't suggest anyone use this business , the caretakers appeared to be very unstable

When we finally made it, we were greeted warmly and were given a choice of a couple sites as three were available. Our site backed up to the water which was really nice. The atmosphere is very mellow at this campground, which is perfect for us. I love the vintage vibe of the campground as I have a vintage trailer. The staff checked in on us to see that everything was well through our time there and were glad to direct us to local sites that we were interested in seeing. Also, about two minutes away there is a Walmart so it is super easy to get anything you need or have forgotten. Made new friends in the campground and had dinner together which was really nice as well. Glad we finally made it and we will be back.

The campers placed directly next…read moreto us were loud, disruptive, and inconsiderate well into the night, making noise until around 3:30 a.m. I was told quiet hours were enforced. We paid for a campsite expecting a reasonable night's sleep and instead spent most of the night awake listening to our neighbors. Because we got virtually no sleep, we made the decision to leave a day early. When I texted the host, I wasn't even asking for a refund--I simply requested a complimentary night for a future stay as a goodwill gesture. The request was immediately denied because of their "no refunds for early departure" policy. The issue isn't that we left early. The issue is that the campground did not provide the quiet, enjoyable experience that guests are paying for. Hiding behind a policy while ignoring the reason a guest is leaving is poor customer service and shows a complete lack of concern for the guest experience. If you're looking for a peaceful campground, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

She felt as though we was tricked from the pictures. She was told no refunds. My aunt was so disgusted she nearly got back on the plane and flew home. The place from the outside had spider webs and dirt all over the place. Its seriously needs to be pressure hosed from the outside all over. This is only where the problems start. In my beach house cottage the power and stove went out. They stated its a DFI switch or something like that, nevertheless after having a "employee who can fix it." They couldn't find her, she went home. So I had to wait to finish cooking. After about 2 hours they magically came back on. This seems as though its been a ongoing problem from the way they made it sound. Another one of my aunts had to wait for her unit to be painted 3 hours past check it. Yes I said painted! Who paints a unit same day of check in? Well later I find out they had a squatter who wouldn't leave dying there. the place smelled so bad they had to paint it to remove the smell. They wouldve been better off not renting the unit till it was complete. My aunt had to try and sleep there with paint fumes and she has asthma. Lastly mother and I was hanging out till midnight. When it was time for her to goto bed, she discovers her unit flooded from the AC. Her Bedding was soaked. They did come and mop it up and give new bedding. They literally gave the new bedding to my mom. My mother is handicap, the guy claims he has never maid a bed before. My mother could've slipped or gotten electrocuted, the offered no help. Here is the worst part they offered a $50 discount for the trouble. Moral of the story is NEVER got there. They need new owners and management that gives a dam.

A convenient landing spot indeed...a quiet spot to enjoy a bottle of wine and listen to the crackle of the fireplace after a long day of sublime laziness. Blue Fish Cove is a simple no-frills kinda place located "off the grid" for those of y'all who don't want to be bothered... and it's a hop skip and jump away from Sac and SF. My 1000th review was a very hard decision but yet easy one as well. I would have never known about…read moreClearlake if it wasn't for the dude. With much honor Clearlake holds a special place in my heart as the Dudes grandparents settled here about 60 to 70 years ago when the lake was at its peak. The dude and his family has spent so much time and memories here it holds sentimental value as the Bepa (the dudes grandpa) I knew and adore is no longer with us but the memories will always be present. To me it was a time where the American dream was possible and achievable. A war veteran dedicated his blood, sweat and tears and built the dream cabin for generations to come and enjoy. I was able to get a tiny piece of it during the 4th of July. As it was my first time visiting Clearlake and visiting the cabin and experiencing the family camping. I can see how the dudes grandparents fell in love with the community and the lake as it has a lot of festives and community activities. It was a simple time back then. No distractions of electronics just time spent with those we love. Although Clearlake has changed They have a fire work show, carnival and so much more. This hidden gem has grocery stores, parks, Native American resources, their own police department, school just like any other small community. Although the lake is no longer clear but reminder of the history that continues to stands. The dudes grandmother who is in her 90s (Mema) continues to share with me what life was like raising a family in Clearlake in the 1940s, traveling with a large family and pointing out all the changes. I enjoy every single moment as nothing ever stays the same. Her stories are like a Gold to my ears. The dude took me to where him and his grandpa Bepa taught him how to fish, set up their own camp fire and swim. So it was lovely going back to memory lane. It was a magical moment until some crazy person doing donuts and drinking crashed into a car with a little girl inside and took off! It was mad. The drunk driver ended up coming back and crashed into another car and a police chase ensued! It was a scary moment as the dude and I were just feet away but time has changed so much! But the history stands. All weekend I heard stories of how wonderful it WAS and I believe it still is. I had nothing but great time of learning how to camp, not to swim in the lake due to the elevated toxin levels but it shows that dreams can come true if you want it and it shows - as the hard work of one who didn't believe the dream was possible ...it is and is cherished by many many generations and more to come! The dude and I are hoping to come back for Labor Day to celebrate the wrapping up of summer. Continue to honor the blood, sweat and tears of Bepa as he was my grandpa too! And his wife who is now a widow carrying on the magical memories of her spouse for those who listen. I would recommend it is a lovely community and lake filled with history and stories ! We can find beauty and hope as long as you believe.
