Clean bathrooms and showers. Clean sites. There's a pool. Shore power hookups. Water hookups. Nice shades at some sites (site 20 and higher are the better sites.) There are a couple sites that don't have much shade. Our weekend here was quiet and relaxing. The other guests mostly stayed in their campers/rvs. The 100 degrees temperatures probably had something to do with it. The campground met all our needs. We setup camp here and then explore the surrounding Clearlake community outside the grounds. We went to lake, the local community park where there was a Shakespeare play happening. We enjoyed a farmers market about 20 mins away.

We paid for a campsite expecting a reasonable night's sleep and instead spent most of the night awake listening to our neighbors. Because we got virtually no sleep, we made the decision to leave a day early. When I texted the host, I wasn't even asking for a refund--I simply requested a complimentary night for a future stay as a goodwill gesture. The request was immediately denied because of their "no refunds for early departure" policy. The issue isn't that we left early. The issue is that the campground did not provide the quiet, enjoyable experience that guests are paying for. Hiding behind a policy while ignoring the reason a guest is leaving is poor customer service and shows a complete lack of concern for the guest experience. If you're looking for a peaceful campground, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

This is a very nice property. We have visited to rent boats and enjoy day use many times each…read moresummer. But, new management has been installed and our last visit was a nightmare. We reserved a boat and arrived at the designated time. The boat we were given, we found had an almost dead battery. I called the office from the lake and the manager told us to just click the breaker switch. So doing this we limped a little farther up the lake and then the battery died altogether. I once again called and the manager said she didn't know if she had a boat to retrieve us, but she would call back in 5 minutes. After 15 minutes we hailed another boat from the resort and asked them to tow us in. They said they also had been given a boat with a dead battery but were able to get back in and switch boats . When we got back to the dock I saw the manager and asked for a refund. She flatly refused and had her employees remove us from the property. I was with my 10 year old grandson and my 82 year old disabled husband. We were set to at least use the beach for the day, but no. Now day passes are no longer a part of boat rental . So she had her employees, who were red with embarrassment, pick up our belongings and usher us out the gate. This was such a change from the way the resort was run under the owners. I heartily advise avoiding this business until new management is installed. It's a shame really because we visited several times each summer with family and friends. We won't be back unless we hear things have changed for the better.

Once on the water, Mark was there to give guidance and support. I also appreciated his patience and willingness to just go with the flow. None of us were preparing for competitive racing with SUPs, rather, we just wanted to get out on the water on a warm day and get the experience to see if it's something we want to pursue. If we're around Clear Lake again, Mendo-Lake SUP will be our first call for paddleboard rentals.

This past weekend my wife planned a little vacation around my birthday 7/22 at Clear Lake. Initially I was going to rent a boat to go out on the lake to fish with my son but was blown away how much a boat rental was.. $350 for 3 hours so I decided to see how much a fishing guide would be. After going through google and talking to about 10 guides which most weren't available because they were booked already we settled on Adam. The initial conversation with Adam was great as he's extremely friendly and helpful. We settled to meet at the Lucerne Boat Launch at 6:30AM the next day. After a little delay on my part we got on our way by 7AM. The 1st spot we went to we immediately caught a few fish within MINUTES! For the next 6 hours we caught over 25 fish between me and my son... some as large as 4lbs...we had a BLAST! Not only did Adam take us to places where there were fish... he taught us how to be better fisherman. I've been with several fishing guides before and I can tell you Adam "HANDS DOWN" is the best I've ever had. He's extremely friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and is MORE than willing to share his information with you. Costs was EXTREMELY fair at $55 at hour as I would have paid more to rent the boat for less hours AND I am 100% sure I wouldn't have caught as much fish. We were looking for a place to camp this year and since we no longer want to camp in a tent, I was…read morelooking for a cabin. There are very few within a 3-4 hour distance from where I live and most go quickly. I was fortunate to find a cabin at Clear Lake and we booked for two nights in the middle of the week. That is easier to find than the weekends. We went in early July and the weather was perfect, traffic getting there was clear as well since it was midweek, the last 10 miles winding into the mountains was a bit scary and tiresome but well worth the drive. Someone from the park called that day to check when we would be arriving so they could arrange check in. We got there around 3:30 and check in, which was easy. Note that if you are going to a cabin, make that clear, the attendant assumed that it was a tent site and told us that the particular site was reserved for employees. As I was getting to the point that I was getting upset, he realized that I was talking about a cabin. I didn't realize that I had to clarify that. They gave me a map to the park, which is quite large and very beautiful. Lots of tent camping sites but only one area for the cabins. The only downside was that the cabins, about 10 of them, are very close to each other. Each cabin has 2 bunk beds, a picnic table, a counter top and open closet. They also have electricity and A/C, all on timers. I love that the cabins have Dutch doors! Bathrooms are very close to the cabins and the parking. You have to pay for the showers and buy the tokens from the camp host who lives right by the cabins. You are not allowed to put up a tent in the cabin area. All the cabins have picnic tables and fire pits and they all face a beautiful meadow that is private to the cabins. The park has lots of hiking trails, dogs are welcome, an area for swimming and for fishing. I believe you can rent boats but since we did not do that, I am not 100% positive. The water was not clear but we had a great time swimming and trying to catch fish, we did not succeed but it was one of the best camping trips in memory. I can write pages but in summary, it was a fantastic experience with many wineries within 15-30 minutes from the entrance of the park. I would highly recommend.

The marina provides gated access, ample parking, a beach and grills for post-boating fun. The grounds are clean and well kept and the slip rental process is simple and painless. We got our boat a day early n I called to see if we could come a day early and was told in a very rude manner "No we are busy, I said we had no where to put the boat and was told I don't care I said No , come Tuesday as we said. We found a place to leave the boat over night and we brought it Tuesday at 330 making sure the women was home from a doctor appointment and when I got there I called their number as I stood outside their door listening to them talking and they wouldn't answer the phone so I called up hello we're here with the boat and Paul Redding came out with Glory yelling behind him to get out and get out now , I said we had an appointment for the boat slip and I had their money and contract and they both were yelling at me to leave , they said I will not tell them what to do and they were not ready for us to come so get out and take your boat somewhere else ? So their we stood with a boat and no where to put it because these very unprofessional rude people who told me to come after 230 on Tuesday and they had many empty boat slips and we were there to rent for the entire year with cash , I don't suggest anyone use this business , the caretakers appeared to be very unstable
