All my water and dhw is copper and they ran the whole install in copper and Propress fittings. In a world filled with PEX I appreciate matching materials (and not interrupting my ground path). PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, AND EXCELLENT SERVICE!…read more PROBLEM SERVICED: old hard-wire garbage disposal, leaking under the sink, clogging up, and caused kitchen sink to drain slowly TLDR: John went ABOVE AND BEYOND, same-day service. He didn't complain- (nor did he charge extra) for the distance (1-hour drive!). He was professional, courteous, and finished the job in 45 minutes. Most of all, I appreciated that he replied within 5 minutes of my request! Conveniently, he also accepts Venmo. PROMPTNESS: John texted me within 5 minutes after I submitted my request to his business page on Yelp. Fortunately, he had an opening in his schedule, and arrived 2.5 hours after we agreed to the time and rate. PROFESSIONALISM: He arrived on time, and quietly tended to the job. He was courteous and respectful throughout the process. Moreover, I appreciate the fact that it was a flat-rate (inclusive of whatever parts might be needed to connect the new unit), AND, as I later learned, irrespective of his commute time! EXCELLENT SERVICE: He drove ONE-HOUR to get to my house. I didn't realize where his business location was located until after the service was complete. Earlier when we texted and I asked if he serviced my zipcode, he said yes without hesitation. He didn't charge me extra for driving far. Also, it was a difficult task since it's an older home and a hard-wire garbage disposal unit, but he completed the job within 45 minutes. OUT PERFORMS COMPETITORS: I also want to point out that, prior to finding J Dias Plumbing's Yelp page, I had contacted (either via website "Contact Us" portal, phone call, or text) several other providers in my local area (some of them are located literally fifteen minutes away). Most of them didn't get back to me (which shouldn't have been complicated since the info I shared was thorough yet concise, and included photos of the problem). Some called my number, but, because I was working I couldn't answer the phone, and thus tried to follow up via the Yelp messaging portal. Instead of trying to guess a quote and a consultation-only date to see the unit, John didn't play any back-and-forth games and was straightforward with his rate and when he could fix it. FIRST-EVER REVIEW: Lastly, it is worth mentioning that I am a private person and have never reviewed any product or service, ever. But thanks to John's excellent service, I believe that credit is very much due. HIGHLY RECOMMEND J DIAS PLUMBING!

Update: This company went from a great experience, to the worst experience. My secondary heat…read moresource went out during the winter and I called for a service checkup. After about 15 minutes of work I was told the condenser had to be replaced due to mice chewing the electrical wires. I could understand this. Here is where the issue comes in. The technician first said it would be $3400 to replace. He then went to his truck and came back to tell my wife it would actually be $8,000, but they added a discount so I would Pay $6,000. The total cost of the whole install (condenser unit + 4 wall units) was 12,000. So just to replace the condenser is over half the cost of the initial install. I called to complain and spoke with the service manager. The service manager essentially explained to me that this was accurate because if they did the install today it would be 23,000. So they evidently had a 100% price increase. I then explained the invoice showed the unit itself as 2,000 and then labor as 6,000. He explained to me that was untrue, that due to the new invoice system they have, they can just put numbers anywhere essentially, so I should ignore the invoice. I explained my frustration and how that does not make any sense and I am not paying 6,000 for a condenser and labor. He said he understood and would escalate it higher and I would get a call later that day or the next. It's going on 3 days now and I have not heard back. This company went from one of my top rated to near highway robbery. I cannot reccomend them to anyone at this point, and will need to look into alternatives to get my heat back in the winter.

Avoid this business--dishonest pricing and terrible service…read more I called at 5 PM on a Friday to get my sewer drain unclogged. I was quoted $378 plus a $200 weekend emergency fee. To save money, I told the dispatcher I would wait until Monday. She then offered to waive the $200 fee and send a technician out immediately. This turned out to be a bait-and-switch. They sent a technician without a vacuum truck, meaning he couldn't actually unclog the drain. Instead, he just cleaned a filter and charged me $168. If they had sent the correct truck in the first place, cleaning the filter would have been included in the original job price. It feels like they forced a dispatch just to trap me into paying a service fee, knowing they couldn't fix the actual problem. To make matters worse, the technician was incredibly unprofessional. He initially told me the visit would be $128, but after calling the office, he hiked the price to $168 and lied to my face, claiming he never said $128. He also seemed completely clueless and had to be walked through the basic steps of the job over the phone by his office. I paid the fee just to get him to leave and canceled any future service. I would give 0 stars if possible.
