My first experience with Thomas's was satisfactory - I brought in an embroidery machine for tune up in the fall 2010. Service was fast, cost was reasonable. I did have to bring it back as soon as I got it home because it wasn't working properly, but it was fixed while I waited. unfortunately, the 2nd time I brought in my machine, my experience was less than satisfactory. I left he machine for repair/service in February 2011. It was repaired within a week and I picked it up. Once home, it was still not working properly - it still had the same problem that I had brought it in for (thread catching and shredding). As a result of it not being fixed properly, when I ran it once home, the threads caught and the thread spool holder snapped off the machine. I brought the machine back in for that to be repaired and for the original problem to be fixed. Weeks went by with no phone call. I was in the area in late April and stopped in to pick up the machine - I was told it had not been looked at and would be immediately and I would be called early the following week. No call was ever received. I was in the area again in mid-June and stopped in to pick up the machine as I had never received a call about it as promised. The machine was still in pieces, still not looked at/touched. I left with my machine - no explanation was offered as to why it had not been looked at/fixed, why I had never received any call. No apologies for having had my machine for over 10 weeks with no work or contact. My machine is now at another shop being fixed - as a result of this, it is costing me 2xs to fix what i initially paid Thomas's for the repair (that was not repaired and caused other damage to the machine). I will not be returning for service and have found another shop to give my business. read more
