Detailing my arrival lacks in interesting traction - nobody was at the little mustard colored front office. So, I penned my arrival time, parking slot and attached the fee and slipped it through the mail slot. The second day, the spring thunder was rolling across the sky, filling all the upper and lower spaces with it's rumblings, then a moment of faded distance, followed by a final wrathful roar coming from behind the clouds. For you see, more and more - rightly or wrongly, I'm developing my desire to be alone with the sights and sounds of nature. From thunder clap to the little water crystals of mornings first dew, it all makes me feel a special way. As if nature is harmonizing within the depths of my souls mood. I'll sit for hours watching nature lay before me in a hush and there is no sense of movements, but I feel the flow of vital natural energy that no humans can disturb. It's here, below the trees sitting upon the grass which seems to offer soft words of comfort and sympathy. And now, in these moments - any human that might pierce suddenly upon my natural mood, seems to effect me greatly. The beach and campground are always pristine. There are numerous events to attend over the summer season - I visited the Highland Games, Bluegrass Festival, to name a couple. Very kid friendly, great food, and yummy ice cream. I am not a camper, but so many people who are travel here every summer because it is so welcoming. read more

Honestly, I hate camping. I am NOT a camper, but sometimes it's necessary so I'm a pretty tough critic when it comes to this. This campground was spacious and we felt we had a ton of privacy. The rate was good. The bathrooms were ALWAYS CLEAN...I don't know how they manage to do that. It's like hygienic magic because I've never seen a campground so clean. The only thing I'd recommend is having a camp store. We needed wood and ice, but we couldn't find any in the area. Lowe's had wood, but we never found ice stocked. read more

First, let me say this is an amazing property and part of me doesn't want to share and attract more people...but this place is too good to keep a secret. NOTE-I was here in mid August for a small music festival on site. My buddy who lives in Brunswick has been coming for a few years and insisting I will love it. I even brought my girlfriend who had never been to a music fest and isn't the biggest fan of all the work that goes with camping. That said, we had a great time seeing live music, but additionally, we camped, went in the water, played in the sun and shade. Myself and my girlfriend got to enjoy our time with friends and their kids...so I think this review should be helpful for those that are thinking about camping here. What I loved about the place is it's location on a tidal inlet-but do keep in mind that does require you to plan around the tides for a good swim...it's best when it is high tide...otherwise you have to walk a ways out on mud flats. I think because of that, roughly every 26 hours you have 2 high tides...so you have to plan around the day high tide so you have light (ideally). We had late afternoon high tides which wasn't ideal, but in mid August that ocean water temps were perfect! Actually, maybe a tad too warm but most people like it pretty darn warm. Another great thing was the abundance of shady campsights. This is huge for summer camping and camping in a tent in particular. There are non-shaded sights but that's not my preference. The showers were fine and I didn't use any that required quarters as other stated-so maybe they have been discontinued or disabled for the fest? Maybe I misread another review. Either way, the showers were nice...the bathrooms were decent too-but there was an issue with them being slow to flush so there were some issues-mind you this was where a music fest took over the entire campground-so for just camping things held up well. There were electric sites in a few places, we had one for tent camping which was essential because it was the hotttest weekend in Maine for a long time. We had temps in the high 80's with very high humidity. This place does catch nice breezes off the water. For the kiddos, there are big open fields in a few areas, the best one near the beach. There is also a playground with the old school metal slide. Those get hot in the summer, so maybe bring a canvas or burlap bag for them to slide on so they don't have their skin touch the hot slide. Oh, and lets not forget the 9-hole disc golf course. I didn't play, but I forgot my discs and there was so much music when I went (and warm) it was just bad timing, however I will be back soon for camping and swimming. I've camped a lot...and this place is way up there on my list. I've looked at prices and this place seems very fair. Wood was $6 a bundle or 2 for $10. Ice was $3. If you are broke, then go to wal-mart for your ice-it's close but they don't have bags there?!?!? Oh, as for our ole friend Covid, this is a good place to distance. Pack some wet whipes and hand sanitizer to help. Bring a privace tent and your own portable bathroom if your being super careful. Also note-sites aren't stupid close to one another, but I supposed if you go a very busy weekend maybe some sites are a little close depending. Overall, the owners take great care of this place and I hope they keep having music festivals there. It's good for the fans, great way to show new people this great campground and we spent a lot of $ in the Bath/Brunswick area too as we stayed at hotels before and after the festival, pluse had excellent Thai food (Best Thai 2) and a few other meals. I love this area of Maine, our friends live close by and now that I know of this place I can't wait to go back and swim and relax a bunch!!! read more

This was our first time to Thomas Point, we had a great time. It's a small beach, pretty clean and plenty of space to social distance and just be with your family or whomever you come with. There were some green head flies that bit us, but our kids loved the beach and the water. So if your in the Midcoast area come and check Thomas Point out, you will have fun and it's a picturesque place. read more

We love the place. Not a perfect campground for all. There is no sewer hookup but they do come around and offer a pump out service, and there is a dump station. It is beautiful location though. We came for their blue grass festival, camped off grid with a group of 5 campers in a location with a gorgeous water view. There is electric for most and some water. Water is easily available as are restrooms. It is a clean and well maintained campground. Great or the family. Located near all the shopping you would need. Good for kayaking and bicycleing. Picked up lobsters at Watsons General store and had a treat. Fresh dug clams from Bath. Fourth time camping at this park with no complaints. read more

I visited Thomas Point Beach for a company picnic. It is a good location for that type of event, however they do not have anything to grill on. We had to bring our own grill. The "beach" is also very small and when the tide is low it is a mud hole. There are places to play volleyball and quite a few picnic tables to enjoy a nice lunch. Nice spot to spend the day swimming, exploring or picnicking. There are warm mashes to traipse thru and catch frogs. There is a sandy beach to soak up some rays. There is grassy picnic spots. There is a place to play softball and another for volleyball. I have heard the music festivals are wonderful and play in the big gazebo stage. There is a country store with snacks cold drinks and a few other necessities. The camping is nice. They have quiet hours that are enforced. Each site has a picnic table and a fire pit. It's quite relaxing and scenic. They also have indoor facilities with sinks toilets and hot showers. There is lots of road to wander and take in the beauty read more

This beach is located in Brunswick, not far from Cooks Corner in a great cozy beach location. It may have a small beach front, but it has a massive lawn, playgrounds, a campground, a food caboose, and a game room. They also have a great line up for live entertainment throughout the summer! read more

Not sure if this normal but our skin turned bluish after being in the water during low tide so not sure if that is common or not. We did not actually camp there but the camp grounds themselves looked good. There were lots of families so that was encouraging. read more

The potential is here as the space is clean, spacious, and pretty. However, $16 for a picnic seems much to steep. The beach area is muddy, mucky and when the horseshoe crabs are in you are at risk for an itchy rash! Speaking of rashes-we picnicked in the shade at a picnic table and were overcome by black caterpillars:( We simply flung them off the tablecloth and kept eating. Now 3 days later we are itching with red, painful rashes. Two doctor visits later and I've been diagnosed with a caterpillar rash. 3 prescriptions later and this is a picnic I keep paying for. I have been to the Highland Games there which was fun but the two rashes we've suffered is not worth the price of admission read more

Let me start by saying that the property and scenery is beautiful! The location is nice as its secluded and quiet but you only had to drive a mile to get to anything you need including the highway. Its only about 40 minutes to Boothbay harbor and portland and about an hour from Rockland. Our stay was nice and the staff were friendly. My two biggest complaints were that they charge $5/night for electric but they dont tell you that everyone in your area shares a post that holds bench electric and in most sites you need a 100 ft of extension cord to reach it. However, we complained when we left and they refunded us the money for electric. My only other complaint was that the showers were coin operated...that is just rediculous to me...over all, it is cheap and beautiful and I would stay again and recommend it! read more

Would have given more stars if the showers had all been working and had reliable hot water. We did get kept up all night by "Band Camp" but I do think the owners will make necessary changes to make sure they don't play until 4:30-5:00 am again! read more

I have gone to this beach/campground for years. I made reservations two days ago. At the time the weather looked fine until later Sunday morning. Now however, it appears the hurricane will be arriving sooner then had initially been anticipated. I simply wanted to switch my reservation to the following weekend. She refused to do that stating that the site was full even though they made they claim that they never turn a camper away. I then asked for my money back which she also refused. I could understand their policy in a normal situation but this weekend there should be an exception made as there is a hurricane inbound. I then stated that I would make my issues clear via the internet. At that point she then threatened to call her lawyer on me. I found this woman to be extremely obtuse and rude. I have never asked for a refund in all the times that I have camped. I figured with a hurricane inbound an exception to the rule should be made. Not only was this woman ridiculously rude she kept confusing my name after twice being told what it was. Bottom line this is a great place to camp just don't count on any warmth or hospitality from the receptionist/owner. A simple exception to their policies could have kept me attending but I am disgusting by the disregard she showed me. She also told me I was acting like a child terrified over the storm. I'm not scared of any storm I would just prefer not to be camping in it. read more
