TL;DR If you have a gag reflex, of any kind, avoid Tom. He has zero patience for those patients. My wife was referred to Tom for a root canal. She called ahead letting the staff know she has a gag reflex with stuff put in her mouth. She reiterated this with Tom. She has zero issues with our dentist. When it came time for the treatment Tom put a 'catch' in her mouth so nothing would go down her throat which caused her to gag. Tom's response? Oh stop that! WTF? It's a reflex. It's not controllable! It went downhill from there. Tom was very condescending towards her. Totally dismissive of her feelings. Showed no patient care. Spoke down to her like she was a child. He gloated over is 25 years of experience, and how no one has ever gaged under his procedure. Oddly, all of the staff apologized for his behavior when he wasn't around. Zero respect for Tom and his ability to administer patient care with compassion. His ego gets in the way. Avoid if you have *any* issues with dentistry. read more

Dr. Nasser did a GREAT job ! During my initial appointment, he provided a detailed review of my scans and recommended my first root canal. During that procedure, he was attentive and reassuring while engaging in a clear and concise explanation of each step along the way. In addition, he was always willing to answer questions. I am happy to say that I felt virtually no discomfort in the hours following my visit. I will be returning for another root canal in a few months and am glad that Dr. Nasser will be performing it. My husband and I traveled from New Jersey to Carmel IN for my treatment of internal resorption of a tooth. My NJ dentist had recommended extraction of the tooth, saying it was too difficult to save. Previously in NJ, I had one root canal and filling on a different tooth which was also undergoing internal resorption. The comparison between my experiences out east and in Indiana was night and day. Dr. Nassar fully explained and illustrated every step. He included me and my husband as he observed results of scans (using state of the art instruments) and performed the root canal in far less time than my previous experience. Post-op I was expecting pain and discomfort in my jaw as with the first tooth in NJ. Long time patient, recent procedure. Referred for a complicated root canal that was very hard to localize. Gifted diagnostician, excellent state of the art equipment, broad banded pricing comparable to procedures coast to coast, and superb follow-up care. This procedure Hx: I had been watching and waiting while this infection finally localized to one tooth. From January to September my entire jaw kept flaring up but was impossible to decide which tooth was affected - on X-Rays or exam - done by my primary dentist. Finally we were able to get a picture, plus sensitivity on only one tooth, and I was referred to Dr Nasser for another root canal. I couldn't have been more relieved. I completely trust Dr Nasser. I knew he would be able to fix it and get to the 'root' of the problem, without second guessing intermittent and sub-clinical symptoms. I was right the experience was perfect. And I'm healing well. There was some infection into the bone and the pain had been diffuse and as such hard to pinpoint. I had some surgery from another oral surgeon in that bank of teeth and a failed implant (bolt in) false tooth. I was afraid from that experience. Dr Nasser worked around the other failed implant (now a partial plate) and actually through the top of an intact crown for this necessary root canal, saving me a considerable amount of money, and gave me a lovely temporary filling that functioned very well until I could re-schedule with my primary dentist for the permanent filling to be put in place. He's just the best and I don't trust anyone else like I trust Dr Nasser. read more

I never dreamed I would be giving a five star rating for a root canal but this is one awesome doctor! When my dentist told me that I needed a root canal I stressed about it for days because I am highly allergic to pain. Finally I made an appointment with Dr. Nasser, who was highly recommended by my dentist. It was very easy to set an appointment at a convenient time, 7:45 am which worked very well with my schedule. I quickly filled out a few simple forms online, so there was no paperwork to take care of once I arrived at the office, yay! The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. The office is beautiful and relaxing. Best of all is Dr. Nasser, who has a wonderful manner and explains everything very well as he goes along. 70's music plays in the background, which is different and somehow refreshing. The entire procedure was nearly painless, and for me to admit that is quite unusual because as I stated before, I am allergic to pain. It was very fast as well, only an hour and I was out the door and on my way to work. Dr. Nasser has a good bedside manner and awesome sense of humor and that made the procedure seem to go very quickly. I appreciate that he took the time to show me the x-rays and explain the procedure in detail during and after it was completed. So Dr. Nasser gets my highest recommendations. If I ever am in need of a root canal I won't hesitate to see him again, and I will without a doubt recommend him to friends and family members. read more

Not a fan of root canals, but a fan of Dr. Nasser. I had a painful root canal a couple of years ago and I was definitely not looking forward to this appointment. But, Dr. Nasser and his staff put me at ease. He is very patient and thorough and explains everything as he works. His staff is polite and helpful and they made the whole experience easy. My root canal was done in one appointment and I got a follow-up call the next day from Dr. Nasser to see how I was doing. I'm impressed with the level of customer service they provide! A week after I made an appointment for a root canal referral. Dr. Nasser's receptionist called saying they needed to push it back 45 minutes and would send an email to confirm a new appointment. Nasser's office then confirms the new appointment via Email-stating new appt. was just a consult now and I will need 2 appointments as another patient needed my time slot. Fine, but why wasn't this told me over the phone call 2 minutes before? I called to find out why as an RX for antibiotics if this is spread out, when I called asking about the change; the Receptionist said "Hold on" - Dr. Nasser jumped on the phone and said *Nasty authoritarian tone: "I Hear you're Upset! " This man is extremely rude; Nasser's office baits and switch you from phone appt to emailing right after making a large significant change to your treatment- and you better like it or they will perform abusive attitude modification on you over the phone. I get it- they don't care and you better like what they serve up! The entire office needs empathy training - Somethings should not be said and they seem to enjoy inflicting emotional abuse. Apparently, as a patient, you are not even allowed to ask why or explain your dilemma to find out whom to get antibiotics to carry you through two appointments. At the end of the call after he states: "My, you are just falling apart" and "I don't like your tone" If there is any change and you ask why- be prepared to be treated like an abused child. There is no excuse to talk to anyone this way- this man should retire. I am not sure what the nature of his relationship with the receptionist who set me up with the bait and switch email appointment is, but this is abuse- plain and simple. Horrible attitude, not in service of people, just money- they are the priciest in Indiana. Go elsewhere: no one needs to be abused on top of overpricing and a rotten attitude. read more

Listen, I don't wan to mis-advertise this "Yay! I'm a fan." to mean that I love Root Canals. Because that is not what it means. BUT! If you have to get a root canal, go here! They are super friendly, super professional and have great customer service. Very prompt to get back to you, and Dr. Nasser doesn't mess around getting the job done either. I was out ahead of schedule. I had to have a root canal on a tooth which has a crown on it, that had trauma years ago. This process was as painless as possible, he thoroughly explained what he was doing, and what would happen afterwards. He called the next day to check on my progress, and I happily reported I felt much better. First time to this practice. Referred by my wife who is cared for by Dr. Nasser previously and just loved him. From the moment I called to schedule my appointment I felt like I was treated like a real person, and the lady I talk to, Andrea, was kind and caring and gave me the time I needed. Answered all of my questions. Scheduled my appointment expeditiously. She was great. The day I arrived there was no wait and I was immediately back in the exam room within a few minutes. The doctor was in soon after that. He is a gem. Very experienced but still at the top of his game. Tremendous skill and interpersonal relations. Explained everything extremely well and even showed me x-rays and pictures. Unfortunately I needed two root canals But all went well and he was very happy with the outcome. Lots of numbing medicine so I never felt any pain after the injection. I was back in my car an hour after arriving and on my way home. Haven't needed any pain medicine since but it hasn't been long. I was very comfortable during the experience. Nice music playing and the doctor explained everything and was very reassuring and calming and complementary. I "enjoyed" my root canal experience... enjoyed mainly due to the fact that the chair gave me a massage during my treatment! Dr. Nasser performed an excellent job on my root canal. I came to his office with extreme pain and he listened to my concerns and numbed me right away to stop the pain. Dr. Nasser's office prioritized my root canal and were able to get me an appointment within days of calling, which other endodontists did not do. My first root canal performed by a general dentist was very painful and I had doubts about finishing my root canal, but Dr. Nasser reassured me that I would be numbed well. I didn't feel a single thing during my root canal and was provided time updates by Dr. Nasser during the procedure so I always knew what was going on. I hope I never need another root canal again, but if I did, Dr. Nasser would be my first call. read more

I took my son to Dr. Nasser after calling a half dozen other practices. The other ones had extremely rude staff that gave me grief over our insurance. Dr. Nasser's staff is so polite and gracious! My son has a very low pain threshold and Dr. Nasser made his root canal virtually painless. I was stunned! I've had a few root canals myself and it's never been fun. Dr. Nasser has great tools, but his technique makes the difference. He calls to check on you the following day, too. Dr. Nasser was beyond great. I have severe dental anxiety and with being pregnant I was unable to take medication to help with calming. Dr. Nasser knew this and he kept me calm through the entire procedure. He explained every single thing he was doing, every sound, every smell, and best of all explained them all in terms that a regular person would understand. He was very polite, had wonderful bedside manner, and caring. If you need a root canal, then Dr. Nasser is your man. PATIENT BEWARE! I have to start off by saying that Dr Nasser was great. Had a root canal this morning that took 45 minutes! Very Fast & Professional! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR NASSER! Now... the part where it gets a little side ways is the X ray. I got a quote yesterday for $250 (insurance took care of the rest) and was happy! Got to the desk and they said your portion today is $490! WHAT?? Oh, the 3D X ray isn't covered by Insurance and costs $225. Well, I was not asked if I wanted a 3D Xray nor was I told the price OR that it wasn't covered by insurance until AFTER the X Ray was taken. I did not make a terribly huge deal about it at the desk but I was NOT HAPPY! This should have been disclosed to me PRIOR to the X ray being taken. As I was standing at the desk waiting for a receipt ... the was a lady in one of the Exam chairs, someone comes in & says "come with me, we're going to do a 3D Xray".... she had no idea that this X Ray was going to cost her $225 OUT OF POCKET. And that it's not necessary. LESSON: Every little X Ray or procedure that is being done... ask if it was included in the quote, how much it is & if it's covered by insurance because they will not tell you. These "sneaky" charges for unnecessary extras should not be allowed. read more
