Dr. Gibson is wonderful. My daughter has been receiving treatment going on 3 years. Originally, plan was braces for 2 years but Dr. Gibson has been taking his time getting her teeth PERFECT! He's so patient and gentle. He's never charged us for the extra time it's taken to get her smile just right which is amazing!! Our family loves this office. This year my kids needed braces and we were introduced to Dr. Gibson. His office is literally right next door and in the same building as Dr. Fishman (see my review on Dr. Scott Fishman, pediatric dentist) What's awesome about this relationship is that you get the benefit of both a pediatric dentist AND orthodontist under one roof. There's been numerous times where Dr. Fishman will drop in to check my kids out on their ortho appointment, and vice versa..you can't beat that. When I step into Dr. Gibson's office I always think I'm in some tropical paradise. It's very relaxing, in a Tommy Bahama-ish kind of way..next time I need to wear my Hawaiian shirt. It's awesome to see how well these two doctors work together and the best part is no need to go constantly from one office to another (as your kids still need to see their regular dentist for check ups!) Dr. Gibson is a very kind and sincere orthodontist and it shows every time our kids see him. My daughter had a severe underbite and he fixed it without surgery, he did it! He did it within 1.5 years. He's educated and he's committed to doing the work for your children. Both my daughters are new patients here. They are not the cheapest but they are doing great work. After just a few months, my daughters are already seeing improvement. He does adult braces, too! I love Dr. Gibson. My son got his braces put on when he was 12 and had them removed at 14. He loves his smile and so does everyone else. I decided I would finally get braces myself and have had a great experience. I get weird looks from parents in the waiting room sometimes because they call my name and I'm the patient in a pediatric dental office, but I don't mind. There have been a few times when I had to wait over 20 minutes to be seen, but I think in the almost 3 years I've been going, it was maybe 3 times. Usually, they call me back within a few minutes, if not immediately. Dr. Gibson always asks about my kids and is kind, patient, and takes his time to answer all of my questions. I'll be taking my younger kids to him when the time comes. Highly recommend him. :) read more

If there was an option to rate 0 stars, I would definitely choose that (or a negative number!) My daughter was told she would have braces for a year and a half IF SHE WORE RUBBER BANDS. It has already been over a year and a half, they have not provided rubber bands for her nor instructions, and on top of that, Dr. Gibson just tacked on 6 months to the treatment, claiming that it was marked like that from the start. 1) How professional are you if your estimate is off by 6 months? 2) We are paying you thousands of dollars to complete the job on time. If you cannot handle that, you should be out of business. 3) There are times where my daughter walked in and out and all they did was change the ties. Progress???? 4) If we are willing to commit to the instructions of wearing bands, give them to us or at least tell us where to buy them and how to wear them. This may be one poor job out of thousands, but it is still a bad one. read more

My daughter needed to have upper/lower jaw surgery. Dr. Fishman diagnosed her issue when she was very young. At the age of 16, my daughter had braces placed on her teeth. Dr. Gibson was absolutely phenomenal! Dr. Gibson met with the maxillofacial surgeon (Dr. Marshall) on his own time to collaborate with the surgeon so that my daughter had the best results. He met with my daughter on his off day to adjust her braces prior to surgery without batting an eye. He went above and beyond what I expected!!! My daughter's surgery went perfect, and she receives compliments constantly at how awesome her teeth look. To no surprise, my second daughter had her braces put on by Dr. Gibson and is receiving the same compliments about her teeth. I now will be bringing in my youngest son for braces. I live in Orange County, but I can have it no other way. I will trek all the way to Downey because I know that I will receive no better service or result than with Gibson and Fishman. My daughters are now 20 and 16. Too old to see Dr. Fishman. :( My daughters' new dentist is constantly asking, "Where did your girls have their braces put on? Their teeth are so straight." Dr. Gibson has been our orthodontist for about a year and a half. My son and I trust him and everything he said we should do has turned out to work exactly the way he said it would. We love Dr. Gibson and his staff, the office is super kid friendly. The big screen TV in the kids waiting room is wonderful and the ceiling mounted screens help my son stay calm during procedures. The Dr. Suggested we pull 5 teeth and explained with the x rays exactly why and we trusted him and everything happened exactly like he predicted. My son is on the autism spectrum and has Aspergers so trust and being able to stay calm during procedures is really hard for us. Dr. Gibson and Dr. Fishman work very well together. One of my daughters currently has braces going on a year and a half and my other just got hers off. I have one more on the way. Braces aren't just for straight teeth. Two of my daughters have crossbites and my third has her teeth too far forward. It's great that we can visit both doctors at one site. The building is always nicely maintained both inside and out. All the staff is very friendly and attentive. My kids enjoy the playroom and the TV's inside the dental rooms. They are very gentle. Dr. Gibson is an amazing Orthodontist. First consultation he told me straight forward what my boys needed and the price for the treatment. After the braces were taken off, he put permanent retainers, which I thought would be the end of the treatment on his part. My daughter was was recommended to start phase one braces by her wonderful pediatric dentist Dr. Scott Fishman, who just so happens to have an on site orthodontist. I'm thinking if he's Dr. Fishman's partner he has to be equally fantastic at his practice and he is! Dr. Gibson is knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and is great with kids. My daughter instantly felt confident and comfortable with Dr. Gibson, and we have been completely satisfied thus far. It has been so convenient to have both my daughters dentist and orthodontist under the same roof, especially when she needed dental work done. She had to have her wire removed in order to complete the dental work. Dr. Gibson removed her wire, sent her off to Dr. Fishman, then put her wire right back one once the work was completed, all during the same appointment, talk about convenient! As for the staff, they are amazing! Always helpful and super nice. They were so thorough when explaining what insurance coverage we had for orthodontics and even gave us payment options.
